Prologue

Norgot sat upon his throne, stroking his bearded chin as he plotted. The Hobgoblin king was planning his next move in the conquering of Dristhane*. He had taken the bordering lands of the goblins, and had assassins in the palaces of the men and of the elves. Norgot's supply of gold was endless; it had been easy to hire men and elves to spy on their brethren. Next he would take over the lands of the dwarves, than the elves, and lastly the men, but to do this, he must create chaos and disorder. Once he had the elves' land, he would present it to his goddess, and she would exalt him above all others. He didn't want the lands of the elves anyway, but his goddess Nashirga would delight in ruling the lands of the creatures she hated so. Than Norgot and Nashirga could rule the world together, Dristhane would be theirs'. Norgot giggled in delight and clapped his hands like a happy little child. "Soon," the orc murmured, "the Dristhane will be mine." *Dristhane is the name of their world.
