Unit 1.8: Exam 2

Complete this part of the Unit-1 exam.  The first part deals with allophones and orthography, and the second half of the exam deals with vowels/tone coalescence. This part of the test will go over lessons 3 & 7 which deal with consonants and vowels in Proto-Drem. Answer ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to each one depending on if it’s correct or not.

10. The nasal cluster is always on the 4th syllable

11. both ae and ea changes into a long [e]

11. doubled tones simply to a standard single tone?

12. the e in bed/bet is seen as ẹ
