Random fact: There was a channel leading directly to the hospital (it was filled in in the 70s) so that patients could be brought in by boat at night. It was known as the creek, and according to the security guard who was there when I took these pictures, that's where the saying "Up the creek without a paddle " comes from. If you were up the creek without a paddle you were being taken to the hospital. I don't have another source on that, but it's interesing nonetheless.
This bell used to hang insde the main building.
