This hospital was built in 1741, making it one of the oldest provincial hospitals in the country. It was a general hospital up until 1974, and is still in use by the NHS for administrative purposes. My dad worked here for a while several years ago, down in the basement. The old Morgue was a few doors down and is aparrently a very traditional morgue with marble slabs. Dad said it was a pretty creepy place to work, and was less than impressed to be assigned to search the basement in the event of a bomb scare. |
