New Palace Theatre |
The Palace Theatre was opened on Union Street, Plymouth, in 1898. It closed shortly afterwards due to fire damage and reopened as the New Palace Theatre in spring 1899. After a lot of ups and downs and a variety of different careers, it eventually became the Dance Academy club. The ajoining hotel has been "under refurbishment" forever and looks sadly neglected.

The front of the theatre and hotel. It's one of those annoying buildings that you can't stand far enough away from to photograph properly. |
