| Former West of England Eye Hospital | |||||||||||||||||
| The original Eye infirmary in Exeter was built on this site in 1808. In 1899 it was replaced with this building, designed by Sir Alfred Brummel Thomas. At one time it was known as one of the best eye hospitals in the country. In 1992 the facility was moved to the new General Hospital site at Wonford. The building has since been redeveloped at the Hotel Barcelona. | |||||||||||||||||
