| I am a 25 year old female who was blessed enough to be born in the beautiful island of Jamaica. I currently live in NYC and loving it but plan to move to the city of HOT-lanta (ATL), somewhere in the future. Well, I am a fun loving Jamaican female who likes to meet new people. My birthday is October 17th. Yeah I am a Libra. Libras are some of the nicest people on this planet. I enjoy doing anything that is considered fun and I don't mind taking a few risks here and there. I think they are necessary. I like being around people, laughing and socializing. I would consider myself a people person. I like to be around people that have a positive outlook on life. I do not surround myself with negative people because like the saying says "misery loves company". I just be myself because I believe in the philosophy of being hated for who I am rather than being loved for who I am not. I am a graduate of Pace University. I received my Bachelors in Business Management in 2003 and a Masters in Psychology received June 2006. I currently work at Pace University. Eventually I hope to work at a school as a guidance counselor or at a college as a career advisor. We'll see how that goes. If not I can always work in the business field where there are a plethora of job opportunities. This is the reason I decided to have different majors so that I won't be locked into one category. I value my family & friends, however, I put GOD first in everything I do. As for friends, I think everyone needs a few friends. NOT alot, just a few. Too much friends lead to drama and that I don't have time for. Also it is necessary to know the difference between associates, colleagues and FRIENDS. "Frenz are people who know all about you and still like you". My favorite musical artists included Bob Marley and Tupac Shakur. These men were lyrical geniouses. I enjoyed their music and their knowledge. That is why one of my favorite book is "The Rose that Grew from Concrete" by 2PAC. An excerpt from one of his poems include: "Against an attacker I will bodly take my stand, because my heart will show fear to no man. But for a broken heart I run with fright, scared to be blind in a vulnerable night." My thoughts on love is that it is necessary to have, whether it is the love of your family, friends, or your partner. The love of your partner is one of the greatest love you'll experience. But I do know that it may take a few chances to find that "special" someone. Dating is fun...even if he does not turn out to be "Mr. Right". You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you. A relationship consists of 2 WHOLE individuals...look for someone complimentary...not supplementary. And ladies all men are NOT dogs. "What counts in making a happy relationship is not how compatible you are, but how you deal with incompatibility". I love to travel, go to new places, meet people of different cultures, backgrounds, religions etc. I am a very open-minded individual. People with close minds are quick to criticize and ridicule others. I frankly do not have any time for that. I embrace other people's opinions whether or not I agree with them, and do not push my opinions on other people. Right now I am just trying to enjoy life. I am young and have my whole life ahead of me, which I plan to live to the fullest and love it alot. Therefore I have no room for anger, hatred, drama or bullshyt. "Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone You're the only one who gets burned" (Buddha). "Hate is like acid, it can damage the vessel in which it was stored As well as destroy the object on which it is poured". "HE WHO ANGERS YOU, CONQUERS YOU". Don't get me wrong, I did not create this page to find a man, a lover, a sugar-daddy, a baby father or anything of the sort. I am sure that I am able to stand on my own and do good/bad all by myself. I have a job and make enough just to do what I have to do. I just enjoy meeting and conversing with people and gaining knowledge as I go along. |
