Irina cried in pain as Diablo pulled her to her feet by her hair. The young girl grabbed his hand, trying to get him to get him to let go of her hair. Tears ran down her cheeks slowly.
"Leave him alone! He's just a kid and he's lost! I'm trying to help him get home! He didn't mean to come here!" said Irina through tears.
Diablo only smiled and jerked her hair again. Enjoying her squeals of pain while halting her struggles for a moment. "Really? He wants to go home? Well, I can understand that. In fact. I'll even help."
Turning his head toward the fuming Golem. The dark Prince's smile widened. His face darkening with sadistic joy. "Ardais, make some chains and set up the balcony. We'll give him a sending off...." He turned back to Irina. "You'll never forget."
The golem moved quickly to comply with his Prince's wishes. Creating a large heavy spike he buried it in the stone work near the double glass doors. A few moments later he created a long length of chain with a pair of shackles on the end. He attached one end of the chain to the metal spike. Laying the chain on the ground as the Prince handled their guests.
Irina screamed in pain, as she desperately tried to get Diablo to let go of her hair. "Please... Let him go... Leave him alone... Don't hurt him..." sobbed Irina. Tears ran down the girl's cheeks.
Phillip listened to Irina intently and was just about to follow her advice when she was jerked away by her hair.
"Hey! Let go of her!" He cried angrily, grabbing onto the arm that had a hold of Irina's hair and tugging on it roughly.
"She didn't do anything, let her go! If you want to punish someone, punish me. I'm the one who lied." He said defiantly, trying to ignore everything else so it couldn't affect his confidence. His eyes glared angrily into Diablo's and his hands curled into tight fists.
Diablo only smiled at Phillip. This boy had no idea what kind of creature he was dealing with.
"Oh, I'm going to punish both of you. I'm just going to have her watch you die." With that he threw Irina away. Ripping out a small strip of hair as he did so. Only to quickly bring hair to his nose and inhale loudly. Then rubbed it around on his face. Returning Phillip's glaze with a devilish grin.
Phillip looked at Ardias and wrinkled his nose, his whole face contorting into a disgusted expression.
"You're sick." he said, spitting the words out as if they were venom. It was the only rational thought he could make out of the jumbled mess his brain had suddenly formed into.
"Aren't I though." The Prince quipped with a mirthful grin.
Irina cried out in pain as she hit the floor. The girl slid for a few feet before coming to a stop. Irina lifted herself up on her arms, whimpering softly.
"Leave him alone!" whimpered Irina, she sounded frightened.
"Irina, you know the price of lying to me, and the cost of teaching magic without my father's consent. Really. You should of learned your lesson when Ardais burned that town." The Prince's gaze never moved from Phillip's as he awaited the boy's reaction.
"I haven't the slightest idea as you what you're talking about." Phillip said firmly, struggling to keep a calm look in his eyes.
"Irina hasn't taught me anything, I don't know any magic." he frowned in distaste. "This is all one big misunderstanding."
"I didn't teach him anything! Do you see him attacking you with a spell of some sort? He doesn't know any spells. All any of them know is how to teleport..." said Irina whimpering softly.
"Ahhhh, but that my dear is a spell. Even if it isn't that changes nothing in my eyes." Turning on his heel Diablo walked toward the balcony where the golem waited.
"Bring them." The dark mass of demons and nightmares moved to comply with their Prince's order. Yellow eyes glimmered with blood lust as they escorted the two humans outside.
Protruding from the stone work was a single metal spike with a long length of chain attached to it. At the end of the chain it split into two short lengths of chain which ended in two manacles.
Ardais stood silently to one side as the Prince of Twilight walked over to his body guard. After examining the Golem's work and appearing to be satisfied with it he studied his two guest's thoughtfully. Wondering if either of them would guess his plan before it was to late. Not that it wasn't already.
Phillip followed Diablo out onto the balcony, choosing to ignore the growing worry he was starting to feel. He eyed the spike and shackles warily and then glanced back at the prince.
"If I was to ask you what you plan on using those for, would I get a straight answer?"
"Yes. Because unlike you I have no need to lie. I just have a flair for the dramatic." The Prince replied with a dark smirk. "I also enjoy showing more then telling. If you'll put the shackles on we can begin."
"Phillip, you have to get out of here!" said Irina with a whimper. The girl sounded very frightened.
--On Earth
Aoi looked at the clock. "He's still not back yet..." Aoi said with some apprehension. "Maybe we should go back in... If we can pop in and out as easily as thinking about Tokyo, we might be able to move fast enough to confuse them. "
Ember yawned slightly, her eyes moving to the clock, "We probably should, but we have to be careful. We don't need to get caught in the process, especially with the metal giant there. I believe we did more than just piss him off."
She sighed, stretching her arms out over and slightly behind her head, "But, it's up to you. I'm ready to go play more games if you are."
Aoi gave the girl an odd look. "Aren't you taking this a bit lightly? That isn't just a game world, it's real. We all could be killed. Doesn't that make you worry just a bit?" As she spook, Aoi couldn't help but thinking about her own little sister. If she died... what would happen to her?
"I always take things lightly. If you worried and stressed over everything, you'd be too busy doing that than getting everything done," Ember stated, "Either way, we'd better do this if we are going to. Irina doesn't strike me as the most powerful, and neither did that guy. Better chances in numbers, ne?"
"Hai..." Aoi said, standing up. "Demo, we are only going in to get him out, not to battle anything in there. and if something happens, we get out right away." Aoi looked at Ember's door and then back to the girl. "Can you lock your door or something so that someone doesn't happen to walk in by accident?"
"Hai," Ember replied to Aoi's question, getting up out of her computer chair, "Though if my mother finds out I actually used the lock, she'll be less than happy," Ember said quietly, locking her door. She then turned around, leaning to one foot and crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"My best guess is if we think about where we want to go, then drift off to sleep, we'll be there. We just have to hope we arrive in a spot that isn't occupied by something that wouldn't appreciate our presence," Ember's eyes then went to her computer, which had the game on the screen, "Now then, shall we get going?"
"Hai," Aoi said as she sat down on the floor. She focused her mind on Phillip, not wanting to appear in a place were they had been and not have him there. Almost as soon as closed her eyes, an odd moving sensation went through her, like when an airplane takes off.
--On Ashi
She opened her eyes and noticed she had appeared right by Phillip. a sudden rush of fear almost took her voice when she saw how close the Prince was. She steeled herself and glared at the Prince defiantly.
"Leave him alone; he doesn't know any magic! I'm the one who called the beasts and controlled the water and ice!"
"No!" cried Irina, "Get out of here! He'll kill you! All of us, he's evil" cried Irina, the girl sounded frightened. "You have to get out of here... Get Phillip out... Leave.. Before he kills you... Don't take credit for any magic, he kills anything that uses magic without permission... None of you know any magic that you can control," said Irina.
--On Earth
Ember had literally watched Aoi disappear before her eyes, as she sat down in her computer chair, "I must be crazy.." The redhead said to herself, as she envisioned Aoi, Phillip, and Irina, mainly concentrating on the little girl.
--On Ashi
Next time she opened her eyes, she stood beside Irina, who was crying to Aoi about her magic. Ember crossed her arms, hiding the fear she had the best she could, "We may not know what the hell we're doing, but we do plan on sticking together. Even if that means randomly popping up to save each other in nasty situations."
This time the dark Prince didn't let his surprise get the better of him. Instead he balled his fists together and brought them up in a attempt to deliver a staggering blow to Aoi's face. One strong enough to knock her off her feet.
Phillip almost screamed when the blond girl who had attempted to save him earlier suddenly appeared. He almost smiled when she defied the Prince one more. Only to have him savagely attack her then gab him by the throat and push him back against the railing.
Phillip braced himself against the railing, only to find that his hands had some how become manacled. Suddenly panic over took him as the Prince leaned him further over the rail. But his struggles were useless. Diablo was in complete control of his fate.
Ardias Spun towards Ember. A long heavy metal blade emerging from his arm as he moved to stand between Diablo and Ember.
"Foolish sentiment. "
Ember still stood protectively next to Irina, arms crossed, "Could be, most likely is. But I do owe you for these nasty cuts, and if that means helping out other kids or screwing over your plans, I will do it."
The redhead brought up a hand, her eyes focusing on her palm, concentrating for the some time, before a little spark came forth and slowly grew into a flame. It was still pretty small in size, but it'd work for now. Her eyes lifted up, looking to Irina with a wink, "Hey, guess I got that part down.." She then looked to Aoi, checking to see if the girl was alright.
Aoi was expecting something of the sort from Diablo and she watched his feet. As he switched his weight, Aoi started to move to the side. His speed and vigor was more than she anticipated, letting her barely move out of the way of his attack. Her eyes never left the ground though. She stared hard at the ground a little in front of where she had been standing. A small patch of ice, maybe a foot in diameter started to condense on the floor. It wasn't anything impressive, but it was right where Diablo was about to put his foot down.
Diablo felt his foot start to slip when he shifted his weight. But, instead of stopping it. He only turned to look at Aoi to mutter a silent 'Oops' as he used his suddenly shifting weight to do what he had intended to do when he first came onto balcony, throw Phillip over the edge.
During the short lived struggle he had conjured a pair of manacles and piece of wire that was now attached to the spike embedded in the center of the balcony.
With a scream of absolute horror Phillip tumbled over the railing toward the ground far below. Then, with a sickening snap and the wet shattering of bones, the cable between the manacles and spike jerked taunt. Over the screams from below Diablo could be heard asking. "Did I do that?"
As Phillip slipped over the edge Ardais charged Ember. His sword extend in a perfect lunge toward her heart.
Ember turned to the side, feeling the blade of Ardais's sword cut open her arm. She cursed under her breath, looking to where Phillip had been, her eyes going to Aoi and seeing she was alright. Then her same dark eyes looked to Ardais, her temper flaring. Her hand want over her cut arm, the fire still alive and gaining more power to it.
"Irina-chan, help that other girl get that kid up from the balcony. I'll dance with the metal giant for a bit.. not like I have parents who'll care why I'm cut up for my recital," the redhead didn't look too happy at all with what was going on. She had a feeling even if they did get that guy up from the balcony, he was likely going to die. Especially from what they had heard after he fell...
Aoi's eyes widened as Diablo threw Phillip over the edge. Her throat tightened as he screamed, and something snapped in her mind at Diablo's question.
"You sick, conceded, psychopathic, arrogant bastard," she whispered at him, her hands tightening into fists. Every words dripped with hate and rage. Her anger had hit a point she had never thought possible. Usually quiet, Aoi did have a temper. And it had been peaked.
The palace ground started to shake as huge spear of ice randomly started shooting out of the ground. One shot up right next to Aoi, cutting her arm. She jumped back but ignored the wound and ran over to the balcony. Her hands grasped it tightly as the floor continued to shake from the erupting icicles. Her heart sank as she saw him swinging lifeless.
"Like hell I am just giving up on him," she thought savagely, grabbing the wire. Careful not to fall over the balcony, she started to pull up on it, the wire cutting into her hands.
