Each day after school a little girl named Betsy Bonnet fed the fish some fish food. Then Violet went about her ordinary day swimming about in her little fish tank.
"What can I do to make Betsy Bonnet bring me to the ocean where I am supposed to be?" thought Violet. She came up with an idea, a wonderful idea.
Violet had decided to act sad, maybe that would make Betsy realize that Violet was ment to live in the ocean.
Day by day Violet slowly swam sadly across her tank, just hoping that Betsy would let her out to the ocean?
"Why are you so sad Violet?" Betsy said. Violet kept swimming. Betsy's mother Luly said, "I think she wants to swim with her other fish friends." "In the ocean?" Betsy said. Luly said yes.
So that's what they did. Violet seemed happier than ever. "Good-bye fishy," said Betsy, "I will never forget you" And so they lived happily ever after.
