Behold a teacher went forth to teach
Some two thousand years ago;
Before the age of the telegraph,
The car or the radio.
He had no books and no magazines,
And held no scholastic degree,
But men still ponder the things he taught
By the waters of Galilee.
He didn’t teach that the world was round,
That water was H2O;
The fourth dimension has lost it’s kick,
There’s little we do know.
But it’s not the mechanics this old world needs;
But rather, to make men free;
More teachers to teach as the Master taught
By the waters of Galilee.
