| I was at Alcon! Okay, well, it wasn�t Alcon�it was more of a Stupid Con. Anyway, I was having a great time. I was chatting with Betsy, who had no idea who I was. I knew perfectly well who she was though, having seen her on TV, and I was having fun concealing my true identity from her. She eventually got bored and wandered off to go unpack her stuff. Well, I had some cash burning a hole in my pocket, so I strolled on up to the merchandise counter. There was a bored young man seated behind it, who worked for the hotel and had absolutely no interest in anything Al. I looked through all the shirts, and eventually decided on a gold vinyl/rubber-y one that had Jon, Jim, Rub�n and Steve on the front in a boy-band-esque pose. On the back, the band were gathered in an enormous dark room (like the ship bay in Red Dwarf season 8) and there was a little smiley face on the wall with devil horns and its tongue sticking out. There was also a little patch-type thing on the left sleeve. It was a circle that contained a guitar and a bass, set vertically next to one another. Over the guitar and bass were a pair of crossed drumsticks. The circle was made up to look like a big round keyboard. Well, as soon as I saw that shirt, I knew I had to have it. The only problem was that the shirt I was looking at wasn�t my size. I politely asked the guy behind the counter for a shirt in my size. He got up from his little stool, gave me a dirty look, and started flipping idly through stacks of shirts. �We don�t have it.� He sat back down. I stared at him in shock. �What do you mean, you don�t have it?!� He looked up at me. �We�don�t�have�it. I can�t find it.� �It�s your JOB to find it!� After several minutes of persuasion, he finally got up and looked again, and found one for me with a matching hat. Yay! So, fully clad in my new band gear, I went on a little walk with Amanda (not that one) and Sabrina to find our room. Our room turned out to be just like a dorm room, complete with lofts and computers. I immediately logged on and started checking up on Stupid posts. My Take On It Next Dream |
