My Birth Philosophy
It is my belief that women should be surrounded by those that they love and trust during labor, delivery, and thereafter. A woman's  emotional support team is as important to her birth experience as the medical team. Labor is not the time for women to feel pressured into being the sole decision maker. An advocate, such as a family member or doula is necessary to help protect her memories, and achieve the birth that she wants. I believe that every woman deserves a satisfying birth experience, based on her needs and wishes, and that every woman deserves to birth in an environment that she thinks is safe and comfortable. I believe that birth is a natural and normal process, not a medical procedure, and that every woman should be entitled to control her own birthing experience, and her own body.
