Strange New World
Part 1-Marooned in the Digiworld
NARRATOR: As we join our heroes, Ash, Misty, Tracey, and Pikachu are still traveling among the Orange Islands. Ash finally has earned enough badges to compete in the Orange League Competition. But, little does he know that he is about to embark on a bizarre journey with an old friend...

Ash, Misty, Tracey, Pikachu, and Togepi were riding on Lapras, enjoying the warm sun shining down on them when a familiar, very distant voice shouted, "Ahoy, Ash! Misty! Tracey!" "Huh?" Ash muttered out loud as he and his friends quickly looked around the surrounding ocean to see where the voice came from. Pikachu was looking around as well. "Pika!" he exclaimed, pointing out at the open ocean. Ash could barely make out a moving spray of water heading straight towards them. "Who is it, Tracey?" Misty asked Tracey, who was looking at the moving spray of water through his binoculars.

"It looks like...it is!" Tracey exclaimed. "What is it, Tracey?" Ash asked. "It's a girl on a jet ski. Sound familiar?" Tracey asked. A smile slowly appeared on Ash's face. "It's Violet! Right, Tracey?" he asked excitedly. Tracey nodded as he brought down his binoculars. As the jet ski came closer, Ash and Misty could clearly see that it was their new friend from Draganta Island. She slowed down the jet ski as she came closer to Lapras. As Violet made a complete stop, she smiled and exclaimed, "Hey, guys! It's been a while."

"Sure has," Ash remarked. "Oh, guess what? I have two badges already," Violet announced. "That's great, Violet! What did you get?" Misty asked. "I earned a Sea Ruby Badge and a Coral Eye Badge," Violet admitted proudly. "Congratulations, Violet. You're well on your way to entering the Orange League," Tracey exclaimed. "Thanks! So, what have you guys been up to?" Violet asked. "Well, I got my fourth badge!" Ash boasted proudly as he opened his jacket and pointed at the Jade Star Badge. "I caught a Poliwag," Misty added. "And we also observed a group of Magikarp evolving into Gyarados," Tracey announced.

"Wow! You guys have been busy," Violet admitted. She suddenly turned her head, as though she heard something, and looked out toward the ocean. The sky had turned a dark gray, blocking out the sun, and the wind was blowing violently. "What's going on?" Misty asked fearfully as Lapras rocked back and forth by the incoming waves. "It's a hurricane," Violet muttered out loud. She looked at Ash, Misty, and Tracey. "I spent last night at a Pokemon center, and according to the weather report, a hurricane would be passing through the Orange Islands," she explained.

"What do we do?" Ash asked panicky. "We have to get on land. It'd be too dangerous to stay out in the water," Violet explained as she restarted her jet ski. "There's a small island up ahead! Follow me!" she shouted over the roar of the engine as she sped off toward a speck of land in the distance. "Hurry, Lapras!" Ash yelled as Lapras swam as fast as he could...

"Lapras, return!" Ash shouted as he called back the water Pokmon into his Pokball. The four kids were now on the beach. The wind was now a roaring gust, and it was starting to pour heavily. "What now, Violet?" Ash asked the young girl, who was tying a rope around a tree to secure her jet ski. "There's a cave further inland. We can stay in there till the storm dies down," Violet explained as she finished tying one final knot. "Done! Let's go!" She headed into the dense forest, followed by Tracey, Misty, Ash, and Pikachu.

"If you don't mind me asking, how do you know about this island?" Tracey asked. "Well, before my mother passed away, we used to come here at least once a week for picnics," Violet explained as they ran through the thick brush. "Hey, where's Ash?" Misty asked. Violet turned around and realized that both Ash and Pikachu were no longer with them. She started to run in the opposite direction, back toward the beach. "Keep going! The cave's straight ahead!" she shouted back to Tracey and Misty. "We better do as she says," Tracey told Misty. "She knows this island better than we do." Misty nodded hesitantly as they headed deeper into the woods...

"Hang on, Pikachu!" Ash shouted as he started to climb a tree. As Violet, Misty, and Tracey were heading into the woods, Pikachu was lifted by the powerful winds and was now hanging onto a branch high in the tree. "Pika-pi!" Pikachu moaned fearfully as he was being thrashed about by the powerful wind like a kite caught in a tree. Without warning, the branch broke and was picked up by wind, with Pikachu still holding onto it. "PIKACHU!" Ash shouted. Suddenly, to Ash's surprise, a lasso appeared out of nowhere and caught Pikachu around his waist.

Ash looked down and saw Violet holding the end of the lasso, trying desperately to pull Pikachu in. "Hold on, Violet!" Ash yelled as he jumped out of the tree and helped Violet hold onto the rope. "How did you learn to do that?" he asked curiously. "My uncle taught me," she yelled over the roar of the wind. "He works for a Pokmon rodeo as a Tauros rider and roper." To the trainers' surprise, they were being dragged toward the ocean by the increasing winds. "Oh no!" Violet shouted. "We're being pulled in by the hurricane!" They tried to fight back, but the wind was too powerful. Ash, Violet, and Pikachu screamed as the hurricane sucked them in...

While Ash and his friends were still relaxing on Lapras, back in a world parallel to the world of Pokmon, a young redhead boy was typing away on his yellow-and-white laptop in his bedroom. "Huh?" he exclaimed as a familiar figure walked across the computer screen. "Gennai? Is that really you?" he asked. "Of course it's me, Izzy," the figure replied. "Is there something wrong, Gennai?" Izzy asked. "Afraid so, Izzy," Gennai replied. "What is it? A new evil Digimon trying to take over?" Izzy inquired.

"Nothing like that," Gennai explained. "There's been a dimensional rift between the Digiworld and another world parallel to your own. Even though the rift lasted for about a minute or two, I'm afraid some creatures from this New World were accidentally brought to the Digiworld." "Do they pose any sort of threat to the Digiworld?" Izzy asked. "No, they don't. To tell you the truth, Izzy, two of them are children, like you and your friends," Gennai admitted. "Some strange creatures came with them as well. They're somewhat similar to the Digimon, yet they don't belong here. You and your friends need to come back to the Digiworld and find them."

"But, then what?" Izzy asked. "Bring them to me, Izzy. I think I know a way of sending them back to their world." "Any idea where they are located in the Digiworld?" Izzy asked. "The two children and these new creatures are scattered around File Island," Gennai explained. "You and your friends must hurry!" "Right away, Gennai," Izzy replied as Gennai's image disappeared from the screen. He quickly brought up a blank email message. "Tai, Matt, Joe, Sora, and Mimi," Izzy muttered to himself as he quickly typed their email addresses in the email. "Please come to the park today at 12 o'clock. It's a Digi-emergency. P.S. Tai and Matt, make sure to bring Kari and T.K. with you."

Izzy typed his name at the end of the email and clicked on the SEND button. He closed his laptop, put it in his backpack, and carried it out of his room. As Izzy walked past the kitchen, his mother poked her head out of the doorway. "Where are you going, Izzy?" she asked. "I'm meeting some friends in the park," Izzy explained. "That is, if it's okay with you, Mom." Mrs. Izumi smiled at her adopted son. "Go ahead, Izzy," she told him. As Izzy started to put on his sneakers, she added, "Be back by 2 o'clock." "Okay, Mom," Izzy shouted back as he got up and left the apartment...

"So, what's up, Izzy?" Tai asked. The eight Digi-Destined children were in the meeting place Izzy indicated in his email earlier: the city park. "A short while ago, I received an email from Gennai," Izzy started. Everyone gasped when they heard this news. "There's a new evil Digimon already?" Matt asked. "Fortunately, that's not the case, Matt. According to Gennai, there's been some sort of dimensional rift between the Digiworld and a world parallel to our own," Izzy explained. "Two kids from that world, along with some creatures somewhat similar to the Digimon, are now wandering around somewhere on File Island. We need to find those two kids, and the creatures, and bring them to Gennai."

"What for?" Sora asked. "Gennai mentioned that he knew how to send those kids back to their world. But, we need to find them first." "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Tai exclaimed. The eight kids all stood in a circle and held out their digivices. The familiar beam of multi-colored light shone down on them and lifted them up in the air, transporting them back to File Island. "Tai!" Agumon exclaimed as he ran toward his human friend. "Hey, Agumon!" Tai greeted as he hugged his Digimon. "Matt!" "Gabumon!" "Biyomon!" "Sora!" "T.K.!" "Patamon!" "Gatomon!" "Kari!" "Gomamon!" "Joe!" "Tentomon!" "Izzy!" There was a short reunion between the Digi-Destined and their Digimon.

"Did you guys know we were coming?" Tai asked. Agumon and the other Digimon nodded their heads. "According to Gennai, these kids should be located somewhere on File Island," Izzy informed everyone. "We'll split up and search the island," Tai suggested. "Who's gonna search the beach?" "We'll do it, Tai," Matt announced, indicating himself, Gabumon, T.K., and Patamon. "Okay, Matt," Tai agreed. "The rest of us will go further inland and split up."

As Tai led the others into the forest, Matt, Gabumon, T.K., and Patamon started walking down the beach. "Hey, Matt? What do these kids look like?" T.K. asked his brother. "I honestly don't know, T.K.," Matt admitted. "I hope one of them is around my age," T.K. replied excitedly. "We'll have someone new to play with, Patamon!" "Sounds like fun, T.K.!" Patamon exclaimed with a smile. "Hey, Matt! Look ove there!" Gabumon exclaimed. He was pointing at someone lying on the beach far away from them.

Matt and T.K. ran as fast as they could toward the kid, followed by their Digimon. As they came closer, Matt realized that the kid was a girl around his age. "Ahh!" T.K. screamed as he tripped over something in the sand. "Are you all right?" Matt asked. T.K. nodded as he stood up with Patamon's help. "Is that what you tripped over, T.K.?" Patamon asked, pointing at a metal ball stuck in the sand. "I think so," T.K. replied as he picked up the ball. It was half-red, half-white, and divided by a black band with a gray button in the center of the band. "What is it?" Patamon asked. "I don't know," T.K. muttered...

Meanwhile, Matt had reached the young girl, who was lying face-first in the sand. He quickly turned her over on her back. "Is she gonna be all right, Matt?" Gabumon asked. "I hope so," Matt muttered as he gently brushed the sand off the girl's face. "Hey, Matt!" T.K. shouted from behind him. "What is it, T.K.?" Matt asked a bit rudely as he turned around. "Do you know what this is?" T.K. asked, showing him the metal ball. As he held it up, T.K.'s thumb accidentally slid over the button. Matt and T.K. gasped as the ball opened and an orb of white light emerged from inside and hit the ground.

To Matt and T.K.'s surprise, the light took the form of a creature. When the light cleared, the two brothers and their Digimon were speechless. Standing there was a creature that looked like a huge mouse. It was bright orange with dark chocolate brown stripes, feet, paws, and ears with yellow on the inside. It also had yellow cheeks, a white belly, and a long whip-like tail with a broad yellow lightning bolt on the tip. "Rai-rai!" the giant mouse growled. Matt, Gabumon, T.K., and Patamon looked at the creature with confused looks on their faces. "Rai?" the mouse asked confusingly.

"What kind of Digimon is that?" T.K. asked. "Never seen that one before," Gabumon muttered thoughtfully. "Hey! Remember Izzy said that some creatures other than the two kids fell through that dimensional rift?" Matt reminded them. "That creature must be one of them!" The mouse creature looked around and gasped when it saw the girl lying in the sand. "Rai? Chu?" it exclaimed as it tapped the girl's arm. "Rai...CHUUUU!" the creature shouted. Matt, T.K., and their Digimon were shocked to see that the creature was electrocuting the young girl...

Violet quickly opened her deep violet eyes. She still felt the slight sensation of electricity running through her body. She looked up and saw Raichu looking down at her. "Raichu? How did you get out of your Pokball?" Violet asked uncertainly. "So, that's what this thing's called," she heard a little boy exclaim. Violet quickly sat up and saw two boys, both with blonde hair and blue eyes. The older one was wearing a green tank top, brown gloves, jeans, and boots, while the younger boy was wearing a green shirt with long light green sleeves, brown shorts, a green hat, sneakers, and a backpack. In the younger boy's hands was Raichu's Pokball.

"Could I have that back, please?" Violet asked the little boy. He stepped forward and placed the Pokball in her open hand. Suddenly, Violet gasped when she saw two creatures unfamiliar to her standing next to the two boys. One was a small orange creature that was about the size of a large Rattata, with light blue eyes, a white belly and orange wings for ears. The other creature was a little bigger than her Raichu. It had bright brown eyes, a sky blue and pink circle on its yellow belly with a yellow tail, and the rest of it was covered with pale blue fur with dark blue tiger stripes, dark pink claws, and a yellow horn on top of its head. "What kind of Pokmon are they?" she muttered out loud.

To Violet's surprise, the larger creature looked up at the older boy and asked, "What is she talking about, Matt?" "Did he...just talk?" Violet asked uncertainly. "Of course! We all can talk," the smaller creature replied. "I must have hit my head or something," Violet muttered as she held her head. "This has to be a dream." "Sorry to disappoint you, but this is for real," the older boy, whom the larger creature called "Matt," retorted. "You're in a place called the Digiworld." "The Digi-what?" Violet asked as she stood up. "The Digiworld," the little boy explained. "And these are our friends, the Digimon. They're not...what did you call them?"

"Pokmon," Violet replied. "Like my Raichu. He's a Pokmon." "Rai!" Raichu added. "How come he only says his name?" the small Digimon asked. "That's just how Raichu talks," Violet explained. "Most Pokmon talk like that, actually. Hey! You know what? We've been talking for a while, but we never introduced ourselves. I'm Violet." "My name's T.K.," T.K. started. "and this is my friend, Patamon!" "I'm Matt," Matt simply stated, "and that's Gabumon."

"Nice to meet you all," Violet replied. "If this is really a different world, then how did I get here?" she asked. "Well, according to a friend of ours, there was some sort of dimensional rift between the Digiworld and your own," Matt explained. "It must have been that hurricane. The last thing I remember was that there was a huge storm and I must have been lifted away by that hurricane we had back home," Violet muttered thoughtfully. "Could be," Matt muttered thoughtfully.

"So, what now?" Violet asked. "Our friend can send you back home, but first, we need to find that other kid who fell through the rift with you," Matt explained. Violet gasped when realized whom "that other kid" was. "You know who it is?" T.K. asked curiously. "Yeah, I do. I just hope he's all right," Violet muttered worriedly. "Did you find him?" "No, but our other friends are still searching the island," Matt explained. "Don't worry, Violet. We'll find your friend," Gabumon assured her. "I hope so," Violet muttered out loud as she, Raichu, Matt, Gabumon, T.K., and Patamon started walking down the beach...

"Umm...maybe we should head back," Joe suggested. "We haven't found anyone yet." "We can't just give up now," Gomamon told him. "And we've only been searching for approximately five minutes, Joe," Izzy added. "Remember, File Island is larger than your average island." They walked through some brush and ended up on a small cliff overlooking the beach. "Just great! A dead end!" Joe exclaimed. They were about to head back into the forest when Tentomon shouted, "Wait!"

"What is it, Tentomon?" Izzy asked. "Look down there, Izzy," Tentomon told him, pointing down at the beach. Izzy looked down at the beach and saw Matt, Gabumon, T.K., Patamon, and a young girl with a strange creature walking alongside her. "It appears as though Matt and T.K. have succeeded in finding one of the two children, Joe," Izzy informed his blue-haired friend. Suddenly, the edge of the cliff that Izzy was standing on crumbled from underneath his feet. "Izzy!" Tentomon shouted as he grabbed Izzy's arm. He tried to fly Izzy back up to the cliff, but unfortunately, Izzy was too heavy for him and they both fell...

"Who's that?" Violet asked as she stopped walking. Raichu stopped as well. "What are you talking about?" Matt asked as he and T.K. turned around, along with their Digimon. "There's someone on that cliff over there," Violet explained, pointing at a slightly visible cliff protruding from the forest. "Looks like Izzy and Joe," T.K. thought out loud. The two brothers gasped when they saw Izzy falling off the cliff, with Tentomon trying to bring him back up with no success. "We have to help him before he hits the ground," Matt exclaimed as he, T.K., Violet, Raichu, Gabumon, and Patamon ran as fast as they could.

"We won't reach him in time," Violet thought out loud as she removed a Pokball from her pocket, "but I know someone who can. Go...Butterfree!" "Free! Free!" Butterfree squealed as she emerged from her Pokball. "Butterfree, you have to help that boy!" Violet told Butterfree, pointing at Izzy and Tentomon. "Please, hurry!" "Free!" Butterfree squeaked as she flew ahead of everyone...

"What is that, Tentomon?" Izzy asked as a huge pink butterfly, with large white wings decorated with crimson red spots, approached them. "I don't know, Izzy, but I think she's here to help," Tentomon admitted. "Free," the butterfly squeaked as she hovered over Izzy's head. The boy understood what the butterfly wanted him to do. He reached up with his arm and grabbed the butterfly's feet. Once Izzy had a good grip, the butterfly started to rapidly flap her wings. With Tentomon and the strange butterfly's help, Izzy managed to land on the sandy beach safely.

"Are you okay, Izzy?" Matt asked as he and T.K. approached him. "I'm perfectly fine," Izzy assured them as he stood up and brushed the sand off of his clothes. He looked at the butterfly, who was standing next to him on the beach. "Who know what would have happened to me if it wasn't for this...umm..." "Butterfree," Violet interrupted. "She's called Butterfree." "Okay," Izzy replied. He looked back at the Butterfree. "Thank you, Butterfree," he told her. "Free!" Butterfree squeaked happily.

"Good job, Butterfree," Violet added as she brought the Pokball back out. "Return!" Matt, T.K., and Izzy gasped as a red laser beam shot out from the Pokball, hit Butterfree, and made her disappear. The laser beam went back inside the Pokball. As Violet put the Pokball away, Izzy asked, "What happened to Butterfree?" "I just called her back to her Pokball, that's all," Violet explained. "Hmm...how interesting," Izzy muttered.

"Izzy! Matt! T.K.!" they heard Joe shout. The four kids looked up and saw Joe and Gomamon running toward them. Joe stopped when he finally reached them and took in several deep breaths of air. "Are you okay, Joe?" Gomamon asked. "Just...give me...a minute," Joe gasped in between breaths. "I'm guessing that's Joe, right?" Violet asked. Izzy nodded his head. The young girl looked at the red beetle standing next to Izzy. It didn't resemble any bug Pokemon that she knew of. The beetle had large yellow-green bug eyes, a pair of bright orange antennae, a mustard yellow underbelly, four arms, and small gray cones decorating his dome-shaped back.

She then looked at the creature standing next to Joe. This Digimon reminded her of a Seel; only it had yellow-green eyes, purple markings, long dog-like ears, a bright red-orange Mohawk, and black claws. "And those two, they're Digimon as well?" Violet asked. "Yes, we are," the red beetle replied. "My name's Tentomon." "And my friends call me Gomamon," the other creature replied. Violet giggled a little bit. "Okay, hold on," Joe interrupted. Violet looked up at the tall blue-haired boy. "Yes?" she asked. "I have a couple of questions," Joe started. "Who are you, what happened to that huge butterfly, and...what the heck is that?" He pointed down at Raichu. "Rai?" it exclaimed confusingly. "Well, to start off, my name's Violet," she started...

"Hey, wait a minute!" Biyomon shouted to her friends, who were still walking. "What is it, Biyomon?" Sora asked as she, Mimi, and Palmon stopped and turned around. "I heard something up there," Biyomon explained. She pointed above her head at the overhanging branches of a tree. Sora, Mimi, and Palmon looked up where Biyomon was pointing. "I don't see anything up there," Palmon muttered out loud. Suddenly, Mimi gasped. "What's wrong, Mimi?" Palmon asked.

Mimi didn't say anything. She just pointed up at a branch high up in the tree. Palmon looked at the branch Mimi was pointing at and gasped as well. "There's someone up there!" she exclaimed. Sora and Biyomon looked at the branch and saw the pair of dangling black-and-white sneakers concealed within the foliage. "I'll check it out!" Biyomon announced. She flapped her wings and flew toward a small clearing in the branches. "Be careful, Biyomon!" Sora shouted.

The bird Digimon landed on a branch and looked around. She gasped when she found the owner of the black-and-white sneakers: a young boy who happened to be unconscious. A red-and-white baseball cap, with a strange logo on the front, covered his black hair. He was wearing jeans, a black T-shirt, an open blue jersey with short white sleeves, and green fingerless gloves. He also had on a bright green backpack. Biyomon quickly jumped onto the same branch that the boy was on.

"Biyomon! Did you find him?" she heard Sora shout. "Uh-huh. But he's sleeping, Sora," Biyomon replied. "Well, he can't stay up there! Try to wake him up!" Sora shouted. "All right," Biyomon replied uncertainly. She poked the boy on the shoulder. "Hello! Time to wake up!" she taunted playfully as she continued to poke him. Biyomon gasped as the boy groaned suddenly. "I think he's waking up, Sora!" Biyomon announced as the boy slowly opened his eyes...

Ash felt something, like a finger, poking him on the shoulder. "Hello! Time to wake up!" a female voice teased playfully as the prodding continued. Ash slowly opened his eyes. He looked to his side, where the voice came from, and saw a strange-looking bird. She kind of reminded him of a Spearow; only she was as pink as a Wigglytuff, with blue on the tips of the feathers around her head and on her tail. Ash also noticed that the bird had bright light blue eyes and a thick steel bracelet on her left ankle.

"Are you okay?" the bird asked him. Startled by the talking bird, Ash lost his grip and fell to the ground. "Oww!" he yelled as he hit the hard-packed earth. "Are you all right?" Ash heard another female voice ask him. He looked up and saw a girl around his age standing next to him. She had short auburn-brown hair and brown eyes, and was wearing a yellow tank top with white collar and trim, dark pink gloves, jeans, sneakers, and a powder blue hat shaped like an old-fashion pilot's helmet with straps. "Yeah, I guess," Ash muttered as he stood up with the girl's help.

"Huh?" Ash had just noticed a second girl and another creature standing next to her. The other girl had long light brown hair and brown eyes, and she was dressed up like a cowgirl with a light pink hat, dark pink dress, boots, and gloves. The creature reminded Ash of a Gloom, only she was twice the size of a Gloom, the flower on top of her head was bright pink with streaks of yellow, and she was lime green with large bright green eyes. Ash pulled out his Pokdex and pointed it at the Gloom-like creature.

"No available data," Dexter replied. "Pokmon unknown." "What are you doing?" the girl in the cowgirl outfit asked curiously. "I was trying to identify your Pokmon on my Pokdex," Ash explained as he put the Pokdex away. "What's a Pokmon, Sora?" he heard a familiar voice ask. Ash turned around and saw the pink bird on the ground. She was talking to the girl with the blue hat. "I'm not sure, Biyomon," the girl now known as "Sora" replied.

"You don't even know what Pokmon are?" Ash asked surprisingly. The two girls shook their heads no. "Look, umm...what's your name?" Soa asked. "I'm Ash," Ash replied. "Okay, Ash. I'm Sora, and this is Biyomon, Mimi, and Palmon," Sora started. "Biyomon and Palmon are not...Pokmon. They're Digimon." "Digimon?" Ash repeated, obviously confused. "You see, Ash, you're in a place called the Digiworld," Sora started to explain...

"Where did Tai and Agumon go?" Kari asked Gatomon. "I don't know, Kari. I think we might have lost them," Gatomon admitted. The twosome were originally walking alongside Tai and Agumon, but they unknowingly wandered off and were now lost. "Hey, look! I think it's Agumon!" Gatomon exclaimed, pointing at something yellow in the distance. As they came closer, Kari and Gatomon realized that the yellow creature they saw wasn't Agumon at all. It was a yellow mouse with long pointed ears with black tips, a jagged lightning bolt-shaped tail, red cheeks, and brown tiger stripes on its back.

"The poor thing," Kari gasped when she noticed the rope wrapped around the creature's body. "Be careful, Kari," Gatomon warned the little girl as she removed the rope from the yellow mouse. Kari and Gatomon gasped as the creature groaned. "It's waking up!" Gatomon exclaimed. "Pi-ka?" the creature murmured as it slowly opened its bright brown eyes and stood up. It looked around and saw Kari and Gatomon standing nearby. "Hello," Kari greeted the creature as she came closer to it.

"Pika!" the creature growled in warning. "It's okay. I won't hurt you," Kari whispered. She reached out her hand and touched the creature on the cheek. "Chuuu!" the creature cooed as Kari gently rubbed him on the cheek. "I think he likes it," Gatomon admitted. Kari giggled as the creature suddenly jumped into her arms. "My name's Kari. What's your name?" the young girl asked. "Pik-a-chu!" the creature exclaimed. "Your name's Pikachu? That's a cute name!" Kari admitted as she giggled some more.

"Kari!" she heard Tai shout. Kari turned around, with Pikachu still in her arms, and saw Tai and Agumon coming towards her. "Hi, Tai, Agumon. Look what I found!" Kari exclaimed as she held up Pikachu. "Kari, you shouldn't even touch that thing!" Tai retorted loudly as he roughly snatched Pikachu away from Kari. "It could be dangerous!" "Pika..." Pikachu growled angrily as electricity surged through his cheeks. "CHUUUU!" he shouted, sending a massive surge of electricity through Tai's body.

Tai screamed as the electricity from the little yellow creature surged through his body. Whenn he was finished, Pikachu quickly jumped out of Tai's arms. Immediately after that, Tai fell straight to the ground. "Are you okay, Tai?" Agumon asked. "I'm just fine, Mommy," Tai replied in a dazed, goofy voice. "Huh? Tai, snap out of it!" Agumon shouted. Tai shook it off as he sat up and rubbed the back of his head. "Aww, man! What happened?" he asked groggily as he stood up with Agumon's help. "That Pikachu gave you a huge shock, Tai," Agumon explained, pointing at Pikachu, who was standing behind Kari.

"Tai, I think you should apologize," Kari told him. "What? No way!" Tai exclaimed, crossing his arms. "Why should I apologize to that thing? It tried to barbecue me!" "His name is Pikachu, Tai," Kari added, "And if you didn't snatch him from me the way you did, he wouldn't hav shocked you. He wasn't going to hurt me." "There's no way I'm apologizing to that...Pikachu, or whatever you called it," Tai retorted stubbornly. Kari, Gatomon, and Agumon groaned out of frustration...

"Rai-rai!" Raichu shouted suddenly. "What is it, Raichu?" Violet asked as she looked down at her Pokmon. "Rai-rai, rai-chu!" Raichu exclaimed, pointing at the forest with his paw. "What was that?" Matt asked. He, T.K., Joe, Izzy, and their Digimon just saw a flash of yellow light. "That looked like a Thunder Shock," Violer muttered thoughtfully. "Are you saying that was possibly a Pokmon?" Izzy asked curiously.

"Unless you know of any Digimon with an attack like that, I'm sure of it," Violet replied. "Only an electric-type could have done that..." The young girl gasped suddenly. "It must have been Pikachu!" She started running toward the forest, where the flash of light came from, followed by Raichu. "Hey, wait up!" Joe shouted as he, Izzy, Matt, T.K., and their Digimon tried to keep up with Violet and Raichu. "What's a Pikachu?" T.K. asked. "Pikachu's like a smaller version of my Raichu," Violet quickly explained.

"Are you sure it's a Pikachu, and not some other Pokmon?" Matt asked. "As far as I know, Pikachu's the only electric-type Pokmon my friend, Ash, has. If we find Pikachu..." Violet explained. "Than we'll find your friend," Matt finished. "Exactly," Violet added. They soon entered a smal clearing. Standing in the clearing were two Digimon, a boy, and a girl. The boy had a huge puff of brown hair held back by a blue headband and goggles. He was wearing a yellow undershirt, underneath a blue T-shirt with orange stars on the sleeves, with baggy brown cargo shorts, sneakers, and gloves. The younger girl had short light brown hair and was wearing a light yellow tank top, a pale pink handkerchief around her neck, short pink pants, and sneakers.

The Digimon standing next to the boy was yellow with bright green eyes, and reminded Violet of a mini-tyrannosaurus rex. The Digimon standing next to the girl was white with purple on her tail and the tips of her ears, and reminded Violet of a Meowth. The cat-like Digimon wore green-and-orange striped gloves with long claws and also had bright ocean blue eyes. She noticed a familiar electric Pokmon standing behind the little girl. "Pikachu!" Violet exclaimed. Pikachu turned around and gasped. "Pika!" he exclaimed as he ran to Violet.

"Rai-rai!" Raichu greeted Pikachu. "Pika-pika, pik-a-chu," Pikachu replied. "Does Pikachu belong to you?" the little girl asked. "Umm, no, but he belongs to a friend of mine. Pikachu, where's Ash?" Violet asked. "Chuuu!" Pikachu moaned sadly. "You don't know where he is?" Violet asked. "Pika-pi," Pikachu replied, shaking his head no. "You actually understand what he's saying?" the boy asked out of astonishment.

"In a sense, yeah," Violet replied. "Violet, these are two more friends of ours: Tai and his sister, Kari," Matt introduced. "Hi," Kari greeted. "Nice to meet you," Violet replied. "Have either of you seen a boy around here? He has black hair and was wearing an official Pokmon League hat." "Well, I don't know what a Pokmon League hat is, but I know I haven't seen a boy with black hair around here," Tai admitted.

Violet was obviously disappointed with Tai's news. "Don't worry, Violet. We'll find your friend," Gatomon told her. "Sora, Mimi, Biyomon, and Palmon are stil out there searching the island," Agumon added. Violet smiled a bit. "Thanks, but if you don't mind, I would like to help look for Ash, too," she replied. "He is my friend, after all." "Pika-pi," Pikachu added. "Pikachu feels the same way, too," Violet translated. "Okay, everyone. Let's keep looking," Tai ordered as the group headed deeper into the forest...

"Pikachu! Violet!" Ash shouted at the top of his lungs. There was no response. "Pikachu! Violet!" Ash shouted again as he continued down the dirt path, along with Sora, Mimi, Biyomon, and Palmon. "What's a Pikachu, Mimi?" Palmon asked. "How am I supposed to know?" Mimi replied a bit rudely. "It has to be one of those Pokmon that Ash was talking about," Sora muttered out loud. "Pikachu! Violet!" Ash shouted a third time. He was quiet for a few minutes, hoping to hear either Pikachu or Violet.

Ash was about to shout again when he heard a faint, yet familiar, girl's voice shout, "Ash!" It was followed by another familiar voice shouting, "PIKA!" "Ash, where are you?" he heard Violet shout again, only this time, it sounded closer. Ash cupped his hands over his mouth and shouted, "Pikachu! Violet!" This time, Ash got a response. "Hey, Ash! Over here!" he heard Violet shout. Ash ran through some shrubs on the side of the trail. "Ash! Wait for us!" Sora shouted as she, Biyomon, Mimi, and Palmon ran after him.

Ash continued running as fast as he could through the dense forest. He stopped when he reached a large clearing, which gave Sora, Biyomon, Mimi, and Palmon the opportunity to catch up with him. Ash looked around until he heard Violet shout, "Over here, Ash!" He looked across the clearing and a smile quickly spread on his face. Standing on the other side of the clearing was Violet and Pikachu. There were six kids (five boys and one girl) and six of those Digimon with them.

"Hey, Ash!" Violet shouted joyfully, waving as she, Raichu, and Pikachu ran into the clearing towards Ash. "Ha-ha!" Ash laughed as he ran towards them. Pikachu ran ahead of Violet and Raichu. "Pika!" he shouted as he jumped into the air. "Pikachu!" Ash shouted happily as he caught his Pokmon and hugged him. "Hey, Ash. We were all worried," Violet admitted. Suddenly, the two Pokmon trainers and their Pokmon heard a loud distant roar. Ash and Violet looked up and gasped when they saw the gigantic red beetle with huge teeth flying straight at them.

"Ash, Violet! Duck!" Matt shouted. Ash, Pikachu, Violet, and Raichu ducked just as the giant beetle flew about a hundred feet above their heads. "What was that?" Ash asked as they all carefully stood up. "That was Kuwagamon," Izzy informed Ash and Violet as he, Joe, Tai, Kari, Matt, T.K., and their Digimon joined them. "We've encountered him before." "Get out of the way, guys! He's coming back!" Sora shouted, pointing toward the other end of the forest. The others looked in the direction she was pointing and screamed when they saw Kuwagamon heading back towards them.

Without hesitation, the eight kids, the six Digimon, and the two electric mouse Pokmon ran toward the forest, where Sora, Biyomon, Mimi, and Palmon were standing, barely avoiding Kuwagamon's second attack. "What are we gonna do?" Violet asked fearfully. "We're gonna have to fight him!" Tai announced. Just then, the ten kids heard a loud thump. "Oh no!" Mimi screamed as Kuwagamon landed on the ground and started to slowly walk towards them. "Ready, Agumon?" Tai asked his Digimon. He nodded in approval. "Come on, Digimon!" Agumon told the other Digimon as they all ran toward Kuwagamon.

"Pepper Breath!" Agumon shouted, releasing a ball of fire at Kuwagamon. "You go, Agumon!" Tai shouted. "Blue Blaster!" Gabumon shouted before shooting out a blast of blue energy from his mouth. "Spiral Twister!" Biyomon shouted as a green spiral came out of her beak. "Super Shocker!" Tentomon shouted. "Boom Bubble!" Patamon shouted. "Lightning Paw!" Gatomon shouted. All six attacks caused Kuwagamon to roar in pain and fall to one knee.

"All right! We got him!" Tai cheered. "Uh...don't be too sure about that," Ash muttered out loud. Tai looked up and gasped. Kuwagamon got back up and roared angrily. He swung his massive arm at the Digimon, knocking them all down to the ground. "Agumon!" Tai shouted. "Gabumon!" Matt shouted. "Biyomon!" Sora shouted. "Don't worry, guys. We're okay," Agumon assured the Digi-Destined as he and the other Digimon slowly got up.

"Ash, we gotta help them," Violet told him. "Right," Ash agreed. He looked down at Pikachu. "Ready, Pikachu?" Ash asked. "Pika!" Pikachu shouted as he headed toward Kuwagamon. "You, too, Raichu," Violet added. "Rai!" Raichu shouted as he followed Pikachu. The two Pokmon ran in between the Digimon and Kuwagamon. "Pikachu!" Ash shouted. "Raichu!" Violet shouted. "Thunder Bolt Attack!" they shouted simultaneously.

"Pika..." Pikachu growled, with electricity building up in his red cheeks. "Rai..." Raichu growled, with electricity building up in his yellow cheeks. The eight Digi-Destined kids and their Digimon were surprised to see massives surges of electricity gathering around Pikachu and Raichu's bodies. "CHUUUU!" Pikachu and Raichu shouted simultaneously. The electricity that had gathered around the two Pokmon suddenly shot out in two separate bolts of electricity. Both electric bolts made contact with Kuwagamon. He roared out of pain as he fell on his back.

"All right!" Ash cheered as he, Violet, and the Digi-Destined joined Pikachu, Raichu, and the Digimon. "But, is he down for good?" Violert asked worriedly, looking curiously at Kuwagamon. "Pika!" Pikachu gasped. "Rai!" Raichu gasped. To Violet and Ash's surprise, Kuwagamon was breaking up into millions of tiny black pieces. "What's happening to him?" Ash asked. "Kuwagamon is just being deleted," Izzy explained as they watched the millions of pieces fly up into the sky and disappear. "What do you mean, deleted?" Violet asked curiously. "You see, in the Digiworld, the environment and the Digimon themselves are composed of all sorts of computer data," Izzy explained to the two Pokemon trainers.

"Oh," Ash muttered. Both he and Violet stared down at the ground, as though they were upset about something. "What's wrong?" Kari asked. "What's the big deal?" Tai asked. "You do this kind of stuff all the time, right, Violet? You said something before about Pokmon battles, didn't you?" "That's true, Tai," Violet admitted, "but a Pokmon battle is different. Our Pokmon battle other Pokmon so they can improve their skills and become stronger. In a Pokmon battle, we just want to defeat the opponent we're facing, not destroy him!"

"Violet's right," Ash admitted. "We never destroyed anything before." "Well, this is different, you two," Tai told them. "This is the Digiworld, and Kuwagamon is an evil Digimon." "There's no need to feel guilty. You two actually did the right thing," Sora added. "This is sure one strange world," Violet muttered. "I want to go back home." "Don't worry, Violet. We'll get both of you back home," Matt assured her. "How can you do that?" Ash asked. "We have a friend named Gennai who lives here in the Digital World," Izzy explained to them. "He informed us earlier that he had the means to send you two home." "So, where is this 'Gennai?' " Violet asked.

"He lives across the ocean, on the continent of Server," Tentomon told them. "How do we get there?" Ash asked. "That's what we're gonna have to figure out," Tai muttered out loud. "First of all, we should head back to the beach," Sora suggested. "Good idea," Matt admitted. The eight kids and their Digimon started to head back into the forest. Tai turned around and noticed that Ash, Pikachu, Violet, and Raichu were still standing there. "Are you guys coming or what?" he asked a bit rudely. "Hold on!" Ash retorted back at Tai. "Humph!" Tai retorted, crossing his arms and stomping off deeper into the forest, followed by Agumon.

"I can tell that you and Tai are not gonna get along at all," Violet remarked. "Hey! In case you didn't notice, Violet, Tai is very loud and annoying!" "Like trainer, like Pokmon," Violet muttered loud enough for Ash to hear. "What do you mean by that?" Ash asked curiously. "Well, Pikachu gave Tai quite a shock earlier, and I mean that literally," she told him. "Ha-ha! That's my Pikachu," Ash boasted. Violet just groaned in disapproval. "Are you ready now?" they heard Matt ask them. "Yeah, we're coming," Violet announced as she brought out Raichu's Pokball. "Raichu, return!" Raichu was instantly transported to his Pokball. She put the Pokball back in her pocket before she and Ash rejoined the other kids in the forest...TO BE CONTINUED
