Enhancements

Cybernetics and Genegineering styles of enhancements may not be mixed unless specified under the specific modification.

The Paradox Points or Genetic Flaws associated with the Enhancements background are interchangeable.

From pg. 231 of the Guide to the Technocracy

The term "Genetic Flaws" is used for simplicity. Cyborgs and "normal" agents can take these handicaps as paradox flaws, as well; a cyborg could take a permanent "Genetic Flaw" in place of one paradox point. In addition to the suggestions here, we have offered a few "normal" flaws that could be used as genetic flaws. A "normal" flaw used this way counts as a single genetic flaw (e.g. a three point psychological flaw is one genetic flaw), and it is not worth additional freebie points. Note that the Flaw: Construct cannot be counted as a genetic flaw. that's too easy.

MET Conversion of Genetic Flaws

  • An appropriate Negative trait may be taken for one point of "genetic flaw."
  • A Derangement is also worth one "genetic flaw."

  • Mental, Social and Physical Flaws will be considered a "genetic flaw" no matter what point value it would normally have (Flesh of the Corpse is a 5 point flaw when used for freebies but still only counts as one point of "genetic flaw".)

  • Permanent Paradox Flaws can also serve as "genetic flaws." Examples are replete within all the editions of the Mage main rule book.
