In this life, reality,
Tis not so good for you, maybe.
The few who look, will rarely see,
Just how bad that it can be.
Yet in this dark, this deep despair,
There is one, who�s always there.
Who will not rant, or rave, or shout,
Will not beat, or throw you out.
Will hold you when the pain�s too great,
Eternal friend, eternal mate.
It is the you, that�s in your heart,
Yet from time to time, you try to part.
No matter just how lost, alone,
This one will always welcome you home.
It�s hard to find sometimes, I know,
Yet it�s there behind the pain, sorrow.
Waiting till it�s needed most,
Enfolds you like, a friendly ghost.
Enrapt within ethereal arms,
To hold and soothe, your pain it calms.
Take time to say, thank you, my friend,
For this one friendship, will never end.
It will go with you, through endless days,
For it knows you, in so many ways.
