Dream a Peach
2/5/04
I want to fly,
I want to fly away.
Take me to the land where the peach trees grow;
Take me to my magic castle in the sea.
I promise the truth won't hurt you,
Just take me to where my peach trees grow.
Sun-ripened children
Laugh and play in the sand.
They laugh and play still when it snows so hard the ground you will never find.
My sun-ripened children bring me peaches.
I want to fly,
I want to fly to orchards of peach trees.
I want to bask in the sun
And eat my fill.
I want to fall asleep in the shade of their love
And dream of nothing but peaches.
I'll go to my castle,
My magic castle in the sea.
Watch my land rise forth and give me millions of peaches;
Peaches for you,
Peaches for me.
Come with me to my dream castle of magic.
Come and we shall bask in the sun
And eat our fill.
And then we will sleep in the shade of the peach trees.
We will dream of peaches,
But will peaches dream of us?
