| Up and Down The merry-go-round My head is spinning On the ground. From the leaves Are falling trees. You sell you soul From on your knees. From this place From where I stand I see the world In a grain of sand. A sea of lies, This sea of tears, Has gathered here for years and year. Your reaching hand Crumbles now, Your dust is sprinkled On the gound. This hole you've dug Your soul won't find. Are you trying now To steal mine? Heaven cries From tear filled eyes. Sour above clouded skies. Darkness falls And we are blind. Shattered glass lights your eyes. This blinding darkness Liights my way. It lights it more and more each day. Look at me now! I'm on my knees. My head has fallen Beneah the trees. The leaves are dancing Round and round, The wind has forced them To the ground. All I need now Is to fade away, Fade away into the day. This day is standing on the end. Careful now! Here comes the wind. Spread your arms And prepare to fly, Careful, or you may not die! And maybe some faith Would do me good? I'm trying to consider if it could. Could my life Fade away? Fade away Into the day? Should I try, In case it could? Suspicion... Knock on wood! |
