Wait, they don't love you like I love you
Here is where I write.
Entry for April 27, 2007: People are stupid
photo
I just had the most absurd thing happen to me...

A couple weeks ago I decided to follow in Ellen's footsteps and abandon Livejournal and Myspace. They've both gone to shit and it's not like I stay in contact with my friends that way. So I left farewell posts on both of them. However, I have still be checking up on both sites cause that's the way I roll. To my last myspace post some random girl left a message basically saying: "I agree with you, thanks for saying it, by the way [ADVERTISEMENT]" which is, of course the content of the random messages I had been recieving that were pissing me off. What the fucking hell?!?! People are stupid!!

I think I've decided not to write my philosophy paper, and that is not a screw-myself-over/slacker move. We are only required to write 4 out of the 5 papers, if we do all of them the lowest score gets dropped. I was planning on doing all 5 to give myself the best chance at the best grade, but I have a Japanese oral exam and an Art History midterm on MONDAY. If I spend this weekend writing the philosophy paper I will be dead by monday, plus I won't have had the time to study for either test. It's not the greatest idea not to write the paper, but if I don't have that to worry about I might actually prepare myself enough to pass the tests. And I NEED that to happen.

Well, the girls have recovered from getting fixed. They're all crazy and hyper and shit and driving me CRAZY! Oh, silly kittys... I just hope they leave me alone tonight; boyfriend is coming over! ^.^ It was kind of sad I didn't get to see him yesterday, but I did get the chance to hang out with my brother.

Which brings me to...

OH MY GOD! I LOVE ART!!

Reason one: When Nathan came over last night he brought me a present. He had been in Portland when I told him I was really into Vampires right now, so he bought me a book titled Vampire: The Complete Guide to the World of the Undead. Awesome! (I started it a little last night and I already LOVE it.) So while he was still here I was flipping through the book looking at the pictures and what not. Suddenly I turned to a page with a painting that I know: The Nightmare by Henry Fuseli, pained in 1781. I also know there are two versions of this painting, and that it is a typical style of the Romaticism period. I know this because now two of my three art history classes have looked at this painting. I also really love the painting.

Reason two: I had my art history discussion class at 8 A.M. today, which somehow put me in such a great mood despite the early hour. More importantly, I participated with the discussion today. I mean, I didn't say much and it was still quite dead because it was 8 in the morning, but I put in a few comments becasue I KNEW what I was talking about. It was the most satisfying feeling. At the end of class, my GTF put up an unknow slide (meaning it's not in the book and we didn't go over it in class) and asked us to talk about it, which we did. Then she asked if anyone knew who it might be. No one said anything, but I was thinking "Hmmm, that kind of reminds me of Abbey in an Oak Forest by Friedrich," and I wanted to say it, but I was so worried about getting it wrong that I didn't say it, and it was totally Friedrich! I may not have said it outloud, but I KNEW IT! Makes me wish I had said it, I would have felt so smart!

So yeah, I love art.

Speaking of art, Picture: I don't know if I already posted this one... It's from the coast. And I like it.
