"Well, don't you think that you should treat all of us to dinner because of this?" Kai asked with a sweet smile. "Why?" Woo Hyuk asked with a smile as he looked at Kai questioningly. "Because it's your luck isn't it? Shouldn't we get some of it also?" Kai asked. Woo Hyuk nodded in agreement. "Yeah! You should do that," Hee Jun said. "Maybe with your luck, I'll be able to find a girlfriend by next week." Woo Hyuk smiled. "Maybe there is one beside you," Woo Hyuk said. "Yeah right," Hee Jun said. "Who are you talking about? Kai? Nah�She already has Min Woo�" Kai laughed. "You want me, Hee Jun?" Kai asked. Hee Jun smiled. "I was just kidding. Don't worry Min Woo," Hee Jun said. "Is it for your girlfriend or for something that you like and you are wishing to ask to be your girlfriend?" the lady asked. Woo Hyuk turned a little red. "Does it really matter?" Woo Hyuk asked. "Of course," the lady answered. Woo Hyuk then started to think. He wasn't suppose to let people know that he had a girlfriend though� "I think I'll be able to help him," a voice suddenly said. Woo Hyuk turned around. "Really?" the lady asked. She was wishing to get some gossip. "I think that someone would understand what her friend wants better than other people," Kai answered. Woo Hyuk looked at her gratefully. The lady then walked away. Kai turned and looked at Woo Hyuk. "Thanks," Woo Hyuk said. "No problem," Kai answered. She then looked around the shop. "You're trying to look for flowers to give to Julie?" Woo Hyuk nodded. "Yeah�I'm not sure of what to get her because she never tells me what she likes and everything," Woo Hyuk said with a frown. "Don't worry," Kai said with a smile. "With me here, I'm sure you'll get what you want." Woo Hyuk smiled. "Thanks Kai," Woo Hyuk said. "Your welcome," Kai answered. Woo Hyuk turned around and didn't notice the glint of happiness in Kai's eyes. *********************************************** "What's the matter, Julie?" Daphne asked as she sat down beside her friend. Julie looked at her and then sighed again. "Woo Hyuk's too close to Kai," Julie said. "What? Why? I thought that he liked you?" Grace said. Julie nodded. "At least I thought so. But did you see them walk in and out together?" Julie asked. The rest of the people nodded. "I know what you mean," Dream said. "I saw them together yesterday at the gift shop and they walked out with Kai holding a gift." "Maybe they're going to buy a gift for you," Miya said. Julie nodded. Then, she shook her head again. "If they are gift for me, why would Kai be there? I don't think that Kai would like me," Julie said. "Julie," Daphne said. "What?" Julie asked. "You're getting me to think. I don't like that and that's not good," Daphne said. *********************************************** "Don't you just love the way that they stare at me? Or should I say glare?" Kai asked Michi. Michi laughed. "I think that we're having fun. Too bad the rest of the girls are not here to join the fun," Michi said. Kai nodded. "It would be fun to see more of the girls get pissed off at us," Kai said. *********************************************** "Ji Hye�" Min Woo said softly under his breath. He was at the caf� that he had first admitted that he was the one to give Ji Hye flowers. Did he just call my name? Ji Hye thought to herself. She was at the caf� as well. She had gotten use to it. Ever since Min Woo broke up with her, she always came to this caf� to reminisce the time that Min Woo had sat across the table from her. Min Woo was now sitting at the table that he had sat with Ji Hye. Ji Hye knew it was kind of dangerous but she had chosen to sit right behind him with her back toward him. Julie looked at her in disgust. Kai ignored her look and returned her a smile as if trying to tell her that she would win. "Hi Kai!" Woo Hyuk said happily with a smile. Kai ran over and linked her arm with Woo Hyuk. Julie then let out a cough as if trying to clear her throat. It seems as if Woo Hyuk's not getting the idea. "You know that thing that you were looking for yesterday? I found it," Kai said with a happy smile. Woo Hyuk looked surprise. "How did you do that? I thought that it was completely out of stock," Woo Hyuk said. Kai shook her head. "I told you that for you, I would look all over Seoul or even Korea," Kai said. "You're the best," Woo Hyuk said. "Let's go get it now." "Ok!" Kai said. Then she looked at Julie. "Are you sure�" Woo Hyuk then looked at Julie. He then smiled and went over to Julie. "I'm just going to get something for-" Woo Hyuk was about to say. "Hyukkie oppa�" Kai said. Woo Hyuk then stopped. "I'll be right back, ok?" Woo Hyuk said with a smile. Julie then reluctantly nodded. Woo Hyuk then planted a kiss on her head. *********************************************** The girls and Kang Ta had went upstairs to prevent the others from hearing what they were saying. "Did you see that?" Julie asked. The rest of the girls nodded. "Right in front of me. Right in front of me!" "Julie�" Daphne tried to calm her down. "You should understand, Daphne. What would you do if something was after Kang Ta like that piece of undigested food*?" Julie asked. "I would tell her right now that I would love her always and never change," Kang Ta said. The rest of the people laughed. "Julie�undigested food?" Miya asked as she laughed. Julie nodded. "That's exactly what she is," Julie said. "Woo Hyuk is spending way TOO much time with her. I don't like that. I'm not jealous of her." "Yeah you are," a voice suddenly said. "Shut up, Hisashi. I'm not," Julie said without turning her head. "Hey! How did you know that it was me?" Hisashi said as he stuck his head into the door. "How's all my pretty girls?" He then saw Kang Ta. He then went over and looked at him. "You're too pretty. What's your name?" "Uh�" Kang Ta said as he looked at Daphne. "He's a male, Hisashi," Daphne said as she rolled her eyes. "Really? Nah�don't lie. He's to pretty too be a male," Hisashi said. Kang Ta blushed. "I'm really a male," Kang Ta said. Hisashi then looked at him. "Yeah. The voice gives it away," Hisashi said. "I don't mind turning gay for you?" Kang Ta then looked at Daphne who was holding back her laughter. "Daphne�" Kang Ta said. "Hisashi�He's mine ok?" Daphne said as she slightly blushed from her declare of possession. Kang Ta smiled. "Aww," Hisashi said. "How could you do that? That's unfair!" "What are you doing here Hisashi?" Miya asked. "Well�I just come with more news," Hisashi said. "What's the news again? Bad or good? I don�t think that I need more bad news," Julie said with a pout. "Aww�what happened to my poor little Julie?" Hisashi said as he walked over to Julie. "None of your business," Julie mumbled. "Ok. Good. Now both you and Miya don't like me right?" Hisashi said. Julie looked away. "Don't bother me," Julie said. Hisashi then looked at her sadly. "Oh well," Hisashi said as he suddenly brightened up. "I still have Dream, Daphne, Gracie, Tiff, and Cindi right?" The rest of the girls rolled their eyes. "So what's the news?" Grace asked. "Well, I heard that more of those little black cuties are going to come out," Hisashi said. "More? What are they going to do now? Go fight Kai for Hyukkie?" Julie said with a pout. "I don't think that they dare, Julie," Cindi said with a laugh. "Of course not. Unless they want to have the same ending as that poor friend of Tiff's," Grace said. Tiff nodded. *********************************************** "Who was that guy, Daphne?" Kang Ta asked. They were now standing on the balcony looking out. Daphne was looking at the stars. "He's Hisashi. He's a member of the Gray Fox Tribe," Daphne explained. "He's�more of the weird one. You could never be sure if he's good or bad. Sometimes, he could be helping you but at other time, he might be helping the Black Fox Tribe people." Kang Ta nodded. "And�what's with him with the�uh�bisexuality?" Kang Ta asked as he turned at little red. Daphne laughed. "He was just kidding," Daphne said. "He has a girl that he really likes." "Really?" Kang Ta asked. Daphne nodded. Daphne then continued looking at the stars above. Kang Ta then looked in the direction that she was looking at. Daphne turned her head a little and looked at him. He looked back at her and asked, "What are you looking at?" Daphne smiled gently. "Do you know that every star above accounts for a different person?" Daphne asked. "The ones that represent the humans are not that easy to find. The ones that are representing us, animals turned to humans, are easier to find." "Why's that?" Kang Ta asked. "I guess it's nature's final love for us. The humans do not have such a long life span but we do. From the stars, we could find out about our futures. Whereas humans, they could be here for around a hundred years so they don't have to wait that long. We don't know when we are going to die. Therefore, maybe that's some hope that nature still loves us by letting us know when we could die by stars. The stars that represent humans are farther out into outer space and ours are the ones that are closer to this planet," Daphne explained. "Wow. That's pretty neat," Kang Ta said as he looked at the stars again. "Now I could look at the stars with a different feeling again. Because one of them represent you." Daphne smiled. "Do you want to know which one represents me?" Daphne asked. Kang Ta nodded. Daphne then raised her hand. "Do you see the moon?" Daphne asked. Kang Ta nodded. "You see there are a few stars that are around the moon? I'm the one that is more to the north." "The one that is look white?" Kang Ta asked. Daphne nodded. "It's weird how they say that the girls who are born with the special ability such as mine would be around the moon. Gracie's star is also around the moon but they say that it's impossible because there is at most one traditionally," Daphne said. Kang Ta nodded. "Maybe there is two but one of them is for me," Kang Ta said with a playful smile. Daphne smiled. *********************************************** "Holly�You're drooling," Saeri said. They were on a tree not too far from where the White Fox Tribe members and HOT were at. Holly smiled. "How could you not when you see a cute guy?" Holly said as she continued to look ahead. Just make the move," Holly said. *********************************************** Chapter 24 "Hey!" a voice called out to Kang Ta as he was walking down the street. Kang Ta turned around and saw a female wearing black leather sitting in a black car. "Do I know you?" Kang Ta asked with a frown. The female got out of the car with a smile and walked up to Kang Ta. "You might not know me now but you would later," the female said seductively. Kang Ta then backed up a little. The female got a little closer and said to him in a near whisper, "My name is Holly. Mind telling me your name?" "Kang Ta," Kang Ta said as he looked for a way to get away. "Kang Ta�" Holly said softly to herself and then smiled. She then turned her head and looked at him again. "You are a very cute guy." Kang Ta then smiled nervously. "Thanks," Kang Ta said. Doesn't he wish that one of the girls were here right now� "Mind having dinner with me?" Holly asked. Kang Ta looked at her and then nodded. "I'm sorry but I have a date with someone already," Kang Ta said. "With who? Daphne?" Holly asked. Kang Ta then looked at her in surprise. Holly smiled. "Daphne told me about you before." Kang Ta looked even more surprised. Holly smiled a more satisfied smile. "She told me to come test you out." Kang Ta then looked at her as a sign of sadness went over his eyes for just a second. "You could tell her that my feeling would never change for her," Kang Ta said. He then slipped away from Holly before she could stop him. A smirk then appeared on her face. "I don't believe that you could get away from me Kang Ta," Holly said to herself. "I would make sure that you know that I'm better than Daphne." *********************************************** "Hi Kang Ta! You're back!" Daphne said with a happy smile. Kang Ta saw her and all his anger, sadness, and shock were replaced by happiness. He then hugged her and kissed her. Daphne then giggled. "I just remembered that we only parted for less than thirty minutes." Kang Ta smiled. He then looked at her seriously. "Daphne�do you know someone named Holly?" Kang Ta asked. Daphne then frowned and nodded. "How did you know about her?" Daphne asked. "She's part of the Black Fox Tribe." "Oh. Ok. That explains it all then," Kang Ta said as he let out a sigh of relief. "What happened? You saw her?" Daphne asked with a worried expression. Kang Ta nodded. "She just drove up to me and told me that you told her to come try me out to see if I really loved you or not," Kang Ta explained. "What is she trying to do? That was a major bad excuse because I would never ever not believe you," Daphne muttered to herself. Kang Ta then smiled and hugged her. "I'm glad that I have you," Kang Ta said. Daphne smiled. "Same here," Daphne said. "I love you," Kang Ta whispered in her ears. "I love you too," Daphne said. Kang Ta looked at her in surprise for it was the first time that he had heard the words from her. He knew that she loved him somewhat but she never said it and he never required that she said it. This was the first time that she said it. Daphne smiled. "I love you." They (the people from the Tribes and Birds except for Michi) were all standing in the back yard. Kai smirked. "What do you want to talk about Julie? Do you want me to give up Min Woo for Woo Hyuk or give up Woo Hyuk for Min Woo?" Kai asked. Julie stared at her. "It's not funny at all," Julie said. "I had enough of you all around Woo Hyuk." "Why?" Kai asked. As if she didn't know. "As if you don't know!? You, along with everyone else in there who are not beings with special powers, should all know that Woo Hyuk and I are going out now," Julie said. "Oh really?" Kai asked. "Maybe I'm just stupid and didn't get the message." "If you are stupid, Tiff would marry a pig!" Julie said. Tiff glared at her. "Don't use me as a bet, Julie," Tiff said. Kai laughed. "See? Even Tiff isn't so sure about my stupidity," Kai said. She then looked at the people with a serious face all of a sudden. "What are you trying to do tonight? Just get it over and done with. Spit." "Ok," Julie said. "You don't understand from signals? Then, I'll tell you right now. Jang Woo Hyuk is my man and only my man. I'm not willing to share him with any piece of waste because I want him only to myself and myself only." Kai smirked again. "Are you so sure about yourself, Julie?" Kai asked. Julie looked at her questioningly. Kai then walked a little closer. She first looked at the rest of the people. "I believe that I would like to talk to Julie alone for a while. Don't worry about her safety. I won't be so stupid as to let all of the males over there see me do something to Julie." The rest of the people then looked at Kai in distrust as they walked into the house. Kai then smiled and looked at Julie. "What do you want to talk about, Kai?" Julie asked. Kai looked at her innocently. "What you are most concerned about," Kai said. "Are you so sure that Jang Woo Hyuk loves you as much as you think he does? Or he's just a player?" Julie looked at her. "What are you getting at?" Julie asked. Kai smiled. "We could do a test to see what he's getting at. Of course, you would have to believe me completely in this whole process," Kai said. Julie looked at her. "Are you willing?" Julie then hesitated for a while before replying. "How do I know if this is not a trick?" Julie asked. Kai then shrugged. "I don�t know. I'm not forcing you at all to do this," Kai said. She then got closer to Julie and whispered into her ears. "I'm just suggesting it to you." Julie then turned her head and looked at Kai. "But�Why are you trying to help me?" Julie asked. Kai smiled again. "I believe that that little br�Ahem�I believe that Daphne and the others had told you about my story with the White Fox Tribe," Kai said. Julie nodded. Kai nodded in satisfaction. "Good. That would mean that I wouldn't have to go through this whole entire story again. Anyways, since I was betrayed once, I would just love to see someone get hur�someone that he or she likes." Julie looked at her suspiciously again. "Then why are you always sending people out against Daphne and the others?" Julie asked. "Oh! That's just so easy to explain. Think about it. Daphne doesn't like Alex at all," Kai said. She then turned and looked at Julie. "Can you imagine her life right now if she didn't find Kang Ta?" She then turned away from Julie. "Bad. Because she doesn't like Alex," Julie said to herself. "That's right," Kai said. "That's why, you would have to understand something. You know that we Black Foxes have a special power to see the future." "Really?" Julie asked. Kai nodded. "Well, I saw that if I don't do what I did, Daphne would never be able to see Kang Ta. Therefore, I helped her," Kai said as she turned to face Julie. Julie then nodded in understanding. "Since now I'm finished helping Daphne, I want to help you now. But you would have to trust me completely." "But what about Min�" "Min Woo and Ji Hye?" Kai asked. She then laughed. "You could forget about that. I'm just helping them also. You know that I'm trying to build that trust between them. If I don't do this, they would always be in distrust with one another all the time." "But what you did to Tiff and Cindi�" "Don't you think that that would scare those male birds off so that they won't always be after Tiff and Cindi because it caused them to get hurt when they were after them?" Kai asked. Julie then nodded. "What you say does make kind of sense�" "Of course it does!" Kai said. She then turned around and held Julie's hand. "Promise me that you would never tell others what I told you today." "Why? You're not such a bad person after all. You should explain to them," Julie said angrily. Kai then sighed. "You don't understand. We have to protect ourselves like that," Kai said. "And even if you did tell them, do you think that they would believe you?" Julie shook her head. "There you go. Just don't tell them ok? At least other beings would be afraid of us." Julie hesitated for a while. She then finally nodded. "I don't know what to say, Kai�Thanks," Julie said. Kai smiled understandingly. "I understand. You don't have to say anything. Now, are you willing to try my plan?" Kai asked. Julie nodded with a smile. "Of course!" Julie said. "Don't believe her, Julie. Black Fox Tribe members are known for their skills in talking," Dream said. She then looked at Julie who looked as if she was spacing out. "Julie?" Julie snapped back. Julie got frightened by Woo Hyuk's sudden call and accidentally dropped the complete package into the cup of water that she was about to give to Woo Hyuk to drink. She took the paper out just right before Woo Hyuk looked over her shoulder. "Nothing much," Julie said with a smile. Woo Hyuk then smiled and gave her peck on her cheek. "You are so sweet. How did you guess that I needed a cup of water?" Woo Hyuk asked as he took the water and left the kitchen. Julie followed him outside. The doorbell rang. "I'll open it," Julie said quickly. Woo Hyuk shrugged and then sat down on the sofa and turned on the tv. Julie opened the door and saw Kai. "Did you give it to him yet?" Kai asked in a whisper immediately. Julie then nodded. "Hi Kai!" Woo Hyuk said with a smile. Kai then smiled back. She then looked at the cup of water that was on the table and a little smile appeared on her face. She turned and looked at Julie. "How much?" Kai asked in a low voice. "The whole package," Julie said guiltily. Kai then smiled. "Don't worry about it," Kai said with a smile. Julie looked at her. Kai then shook her head. "It doesn't hurt." Julie then nodded in understanding. "Hey! Why are you two standing? Come sit down," Woo Hyuk said. Kai then nodded and walked over with Julie behind her. "When is he going to react?" Julie asked in a whisper. "In about five minutes," Kai said. Julie then nodded. Julie then looked at clock. That means that it should be now. "Julie�Is it just me or the room is spinning?" Woo Hyuk asked. Julie looked at him questioningly. Suddenly he fainted. "Woo Hyuk!?" Julie called out. Kai smiled and suddenly grabbed Julie's arms. Julie looked at her, horrified. She then smiled. "Since you were so nice as in giving Hyukkie the whole package, I would have time to tell you what this is although I think that you know what it is already. Julie mumbled to herself. She was blaming herself for believing in Kai and eating that powder - the powder that makes a being lose their power for at least one day. She couldn't even send telepathic waves to the rest of the people. Julie then began to cry. "I'm sorry Woo Hyuk�I'm so, so sorry�" *********************************************** Chapter 26 Julie suddenly heard a scream from the room that Kai went in. She looked up and saw Kai running out of the room. There was blood coming out of her mouth. Kai stared at her and was about to attack her when someone stood in front of Julie. "What do you think you're doing, Kai?" Grace asked with a smirk. "You think that we are still those weaklings that have no powers in an eclipse? I'm sorry but the sun is right outside." Kai looked at her with hatred. "Grace!" Julie called out in gratitude. "I really have to copy them and call you a stupid bird! How can you believe Kai?" Grace asked as she stared at Julie. Julie lowered her head in guilt. "So what are you going to do now?" Daphne asked with her arms crossed in front of her chest. Kai looked at all of them who were standing there. Dream had now come out of the room with Woo Hyuk. She then took out a round object that looked like medicine and stuffed it into Woo Hyuk's mouth. She then placed him on the sofa. She turned and looked at Kai. "Leave," Dream said. Kai looked at her in surprise. "What?" Kai asked. "I said leave. I don't suppose that you would want to die right now do you? You have two choices now. Either leave or die," Dream said. Kai looked at her. "I'll leave," Kai said. "But I want to know one thing. Why are you letting me leave? It is a perfect chance to kill me." "It's not worth it. I have my own honor and reputation. I'm not going to fight someone that is hurt," Dream said. "You should know the rules of the White Fox Tribes, Kai, out of all Black Fox Tribe members. Probably better than some White Fox Tribe members. You should know that we are never allowed to kill unless it is an official fight or a war." Kai smiled. "Of course I remember. I'll never forget it," Kai said as she looked at Dream with anger. She then smiled again. "I'll get my revenge one day." She then turned and disappeared. "She�knows the rules?" Daphne asked. Grace looked at Dream with widened eyes. "Why???" Grace asked. "I thought that each tribe's rules are kept a secret and only members are allowed to know." Dream gave them a bitter smile. "I'll tell you that later. Let's see what's wrong with Woo Hyuk and Julie first," Dream said. She then walked over to Julie. "I'm ok," Julie said. "I just lost my powers because of the powder." Dream then took a powder out and let Julie swallow it as she untied the rope on Julie. "You should regain your powers in a few minutes," Dream said. Julie nodded. "I'm ok now. Check Woo Hyuk for me first?" Julie asked. Dream nodded. "I'm ok," a voice from the sofa said. The girls looked toward and saw Woo Hyuk helping himself up. "Don't worry about me," Woo Hyuk said with a smile. "Uh�How much did you hear, Woo Hyuk, if I could ask?" Grace asked with a scared expression on her face. Woo Hyuk looked at all of them in the room. "Enough for me to understand everything," Woo Hyuk said. The girls looked at one another. How much would that mean? "What�do you mean?" Miya asked. "I started to regain my feelings after I was placed on the sofa by Dream," Woo Hyuk said. Dream looked at him surprised. Then she thought of something and smiled. "I forgot that you just danced," Dream said. "The powder traveled a little faster than usual." Woo Hyuk nodded. He then got up, a little wobbly, but he steadied himself. He walked over to Julie with the help of Tiff. "Are you ok?" Woo Hyuk asked as he brushed the hair on Julie's face away. Julie looked away. "I'm not suited for you," Julie said sadly. Woo Hyuk stood there in silence for a few minutes before replying. "I don't know what you are talking about Julie. If you are talking about the sleep powder�it was probably my fault that I didn't let that trust grow in you. Maybe I just look or act to untrusting," Woo Hyuk said as he looked at Julie. Julie turned and looked at him. "What are you talking about?" Julie said. "I never thought of that like that�It's just�" "Kai's fault," Woo Hyuk finished off for her. "I understand." Julie then looked at him and tears started to form in her eyes. "Why are you like this to me after this?" Julie asked as she started to cry. Woo Hyuk then reached over and pulled her over. Tiff walked away from the pair. "Ask Kang Ta why he's doing everything to keep Daphne by his side and you would know the answer," Woo Hyuk said. Julie looked deeply into his eyes. "Oh Woo Hyuk," Julie said as she buried her head in his chest. Woo Hyuk smiled and touched her hair. "Don't worry. The most important is that you never leave me," Woo Hyuk said. Julie nodded. Saeri asked, worried, as she looked at their leader stagger back to the main meeting place. Kai nodded weakly. The rest of the members of the Black Fox Tribe walked out from the back of the room. When they saw what happened to Kai, all of their mouths dropped wide open. "OH MY GOD!" Kabuki almost yelled. "What happened to you, Kai!?" Katyusha looked in horror at Kai. Kai looked at all of them and all of them suddenly fell quiet. "It's only a little bit of injury. No need to be so loud," Kai said. The girls nodded quickly. "If you say so," Jini said as she continued to look at Kai with eyes widen. "What happened?" Saeri asked. Kai looked at the girls and then sat down at her usual seat. "That brat, Dream, hit me," Kai said as she examined the injuries on herself. "How did that happen?" Ada asked. "Everything was going fine but that stupid dodo must have left some clues that she believed me when she was talking to them," Kai said. "Oh�" "That sucks," Kabuki said as she rested her head on her hand. "What are you going to do now?" Ada asked. "What else am I going to do? I think that Woo Hyuk heard our whole conversation. According to what I know, he's probably not going to mind that Julie is a bird," Kai concluded as she looked in disgust at the bruise on her arm. "That is one nasty one." "How do you know about that?" Jini asked. "Because he's friends with Kang Ta," Kai answered. "Does that have anything to do with how he would react?" Katyusha asked. "Of course. People are the same stick together," Kai said. "So he knows your identity as well. What if he says something to Min Woo?" Holly asked. "I don't think that he would," Kai said with a confident smile. You just look at Kang Ta's reaction and you should know what Woo Hyuk's reaction would be. "You won't believe me anyways," Kai said as she cried uncontrollably. "Why won't I believe you? If what you told is the truth, of course I would believe you," Min Woo said. Kai then looked at him again. "You have to promise me that you won't be angry if I tell you though. It's just the past," Kai said. "Just tell me," Min Woo said as he nodded.
