| Chapter 17 "You know what we could do? We could all change into the form of Daphne before the eclipse happens," Miya suggested. "How are we going to explain to the rest of the people about the extra Daphnes?" Julie asked. Miya frowned. "I guess we would have to stay extremely close to Daphne during the whole thing," Dream said as she shook her head. *********************************************** "It's time," Kai said as a grin appeared on her face as she looked at the sky. Slowly, there was a little bit of blackness going over the moon. She turned to Michi and said, "Let's go." Michi nodded. *********************************************** "I have to go look for Daphne for a while," Grace said to Leslie. Leslie looked at her. "Why?" Leslie asked. Grace hesitated for a while. "I just want to spend this time with her," Grace said quietly. Leslie smiled. "I thought you said that you wanted me to come because you wanted to spend it with me?" Leslie said. Grace frowned. That was true. Leslie smiled again. "I was just joking." Grace looked at him and smiled. "Let's go together." Grace frowned again. Oh well. It doesn't seem as if there would be much known from what they are doing. "Ok," Grace said. *********************************************** "Leslie?" Miya said with a surprised look. Grace nodded with a shrug. "We could spend this time together, can't we?" Leslie said with a smile. "There's not that many times that there are so many people together." "Oh," Miya answered. "Ok." She looked at the sky. The blackness had covered the moon for about half already. The Black Foxes had not attack yet. "Guess they're waiting for the total blackness," Miya muttered. "What are you people doing out here? Why don't you go inside and watch the eclipse all together? There's still half of it to go," Jun Jin asked as he ran toward them. "Oh ok," Miya said with a smile. "It's so weird that the eclipse is so slow this year. Usually, it would be quick," Jun Jin said. The rest of the people nodded. "It must have to do with the Black ones�" Dream muttered. "What happened?" Jun Jin asked. "Nothing," Dream answered quickly. She then glanced in the direction that the black energy was raising toward the sky toward the moon. "Then let's go inside," Jun Jin said with a smile. *********************************************** "Wow. The complete eclipse is taking longer than usual," Ji Hye said as she looked at the eclipse. It had been about one minute since the total eclipse happened. "Yeah," Min Woo answered. "That's weird," Emily said. Suddenly, everything seemed dimmer than before. "What happened?" Poyan said. After that, they heard a scream and then another. "What happened!?" Jae Won exclaimed. "Michi! Is that you!? I heard your voice�at least it sound like yours." The moon started to appear again. "What are you talking about?" Michi asked with a smile on her face. Jae Won looked at her and let out a sigh of relief. "I thought that it was you who screamed," Jae Won said. "Why would I scream? I'm not afraid of the dark anymore since you are beside me," Michi said. Jae Won smiled. "I thought that Kai also screamed," Min Woo said as he scratched his head. "Maybe I heard wrong." "You don't think that something would happen in that short period of darkness, do you?" Kai asked with a light smile. Min Woo laughed. "Of course not. Especially when everyone in here is our friend," Min Woo said. Kai smiled without answering. *********************************************** "Are you ok, Michi?" Kai asked as she looked at her right shoulder. "Yeah. Can't die from that blow," Michi said as she looked at the side of her body. She then frowned. "I wonder who attacked us. Those White Foxes and Birds definitely lost all their powers during that eclipse. I can't think of anyone who is not from those two tribes. Unless one of them is a leader or the son of the leader." Kai nodded. "I'll find out," Kai said as she continued to nod. "I'll pay back that person for this injury that was caused on us." "Not just the original price. I want it to be ten times the original price," Michi said. Kai nodded. "More," Kai said as she stepped on the rat that was just running past them. The blood immediately gushed out of the rat. "More than that." *********************************************** "Who do you think did it? I'm sure that everyone lost their powers during the eclipse, right?" Dream asked. The rest of the people nodded. "You should know, Dream," Julie said. "I'm not the daughter of His Highness of Birds. In fact, I'm not even part of the royal family of Birds or any other group that there is. I'm just His Highness of Birds' messenger." "Same thing here," Tiff and Cindi said. "And you know the answer to all of the rest of us," Miya said as she looked at Dream. Dream nodded. "But I can't think of who it could be," Dream said as she sat down. "Grace and Daphne are definitely not. Miya is not. She's the main dancer and singer of the tribe. We don't even have to talk about me. I'm going crazy thinking." "Then don't think about it anymore," Grace said. Dream shook her head. "I don't even know if this person is our friend or enemy. It could be dangerous if we are not careful about it," Dream said. The rest of the people nodded. *********************************************** "It can't be the people from SM�" Grace was saying to herself as she sat beside Leslie to look at the stars. "What are you talking about?" Leslie asked. Grace snapped back. "Nothing," Grace said with a smile. "I'm just thinking about something." "Oh," Leslie said as he nodded. "Want to say it out so I could help you think of it?" Grace shook her head. "You can't help anyway," Grace muttered. "How would you know if you don't even tell me," Leslie asked. Grace continued to shake her head. Leslie then took her hand in his. Grace looked at him. Leslie smiled. "Remember that when you need help, I would always be there to help you, ok?" Grace looked at him for a while and then finally nodded with a smile. *********************************************** "I can't believe that we actually failed," Michi said as she sat down on the chair - hard. "Oww�" She had forgotten that she had hurt her side. "Watch out," Holly said. Although the members of the Black Fox Tribe always argue with one another (sometimes to the extent of real fighting), they help one another when there's a need to and care for one another. "We'll have to think of another plan now?" Jini asked with a frown. Saeri suddenly smiled. "I don't think that we would need to," Saeri spoke up. The rest of the people looked at her weirdly. What was she talking about? "Saeri�we are not going to be nice foxes after this ok? Just because we failed a few times, we are not going to give up this mission," Ada said. Saeri laughed. "Of course I know that. I'm not stupid," Saeri said. "Then what are you saying, Saeri?" Katyusha asked. Saeri smiled again. "I've got something," Saeri said as she held out her hand, "that would help us on our plan." The rest of the people looked at her and gasped. How did she get that? *********************************************** Chapter 18 "How did you get it?" Kai asked. Saeri looked at her with a mysterious smile. "Oh good. Now you're not going to tell us, right?" Michi asked. Saeri shook her head. "I'll tell you people after the whole plan is finished," Saeri answered. "So when are we going to do this." "I heard that they are going to have a birthday party soon," Kai said. "We could do it during that time." "That would be good. And then the real adventure begins," Ada said as the rest of the girls smiled. *********************************************** "Kang Ta! It's your birthday soon! What would you like for your present?" Hee Jun asked. They were now walking out of SM building. Kang Ta shrugged. "I don't know," Kang Ta said as he continued to think. "How about Daphne?" Min Woo asked. The rest of the people laughed. "Nah. That's not a good idea," Hee Jun said. "He already has Daphne." The people laughed again. "Are we going to have go to your house to celebrate, Kang Ta hyung?" Jae Won asked. "I guess," Kang Ta said with a smile. "I don't want to make it really huge though." "Yeah. We know," Tony said. Kang Ta smiled. "So we better go out and start buying presents for you now," Brian said with a smile. The rest of the people smiled. *********************************************** "Dream�Are you still thinking about who helped us?" Miya asked. Dream nodded as she stared in front of her. "It's no use thinking of it, Dream. When the truth comes out, we would know that truth," Cindi said. Dream had been thinking about it for a few days already. "But you know that it's too dangerous for us to let it go like that," Dream said. "It's more dangerous if you do nothing but keep thinking about it," Daphne said. Dream then thought for a while and then slowly nodded. "I guess," Dream said. She then sighed. "I hope that we would think of who it is before the next attack." *********************************************** "Happy birthday Kang Ta!" the people all yelled. Kang Ta smiled and looked at everyone. "Thanks," Kang Ta said. "No problem. Just as long as you do a performance for us for all the work that we had done for you," Dong Wan said. "What?" Kang Ta asked as he looked at Dong Wan questioningly. Dong Wan grinned and looked at the other three - Hee Jun, Min Woo, and Jun Jin. "Kiss Daphne," the four of them said together. Kang Ta blushed. "Dang. Kang Ta, you're blushing a lot these days," Andy suddenly commented. The people laughed. "What? It's true though." The people nodded in agreement. "Let's cut the cake then!" Ji Hye said as she and Eun Hee ran to the back to get the cake. *********************************************** "Is it time?" Katyusha asked. The rest of the girls nodded with a smile. Katyusha smiled. "It's time for the party to begin people. She then held up her hand with something in it and started to say something� *********************************************** "Ah!" Daphne suddenly exclaimed as she fell to the floor. Kang Ta's eyes widened as he ran to her side. "What's the matter Daphne?" Kang Ta asked. Kang Ta attempted to help her up but Daphne pushed him aside and ran to the bathroom. Miya and the rest of the girls all looked at one another. Oh no� "What's the matter?" Jun Jin asked Miya. "I�don't know," Miya lied. "I'll go out to see if she's ok from outside." Jun Jin nodded. Kang Ta then went with her. "You people all look to see if she would come out. I'll try to get into the bathroom from outside," Kang Ta said. The people nodded. Dream and the rest looked at one another with a troubled expression. *********************************************** "I don't think that it's a good idea to climb up Kang Ta," Miya said. She was attempting to get Kang Ta from climbing up while she tried to get the telepathic waves across to Daphne. It doesn't seem to be working. She got it through to the rest of the girls who were in the house but it just wasn't getting through to Daphne. "I have to know if she's ok," Kang Ta said. "I'm sure that she is," Miya said. "We could always go inside and attempt to knock down the door." Kang Ta shook his head. "It might be too late by then. What if she has some kind of health problem that just occurred right now? We would have to get her to the hospital as soon as possible if that's the case," Kang Ta said. Miya sighed. The last time they checked, Daphne was in perfect condition. No pains, no diseases, no nothing. Just her usual self. "She's ok. She gets a check up every year," Miya said. "What if it's something that can't be detected," Kang Ta said as he continued with his attempt. Suddenly, the window of the bathroom opened. Kang Ta looked up just in time to see something white jump out. *********************************************** Chapter 19 Suddenly, the window of the bathroom opened. Kang Ta looked up just in time to see something white jump out. The white thing - a white dog that resembled a fox�or maybe it was a fox - stopped and looked at Miya and Kang Ta for a while before it proceeded in running off in the opposite direction. Kang Ta looked in the direction that it had ran off. He didn't see from the entrance to his house, Julie transformed into a bird and ran after the white fox. "Kang Ta," Miya said. Kang Ta held up his hand. "Nothing's wrong," Kang Ta said with a smile. "Let's go back in and wait for Daphne." Miya looked at him in shock as he walked into the building. *********************************************** "What's the matter, Kang Ta?" Hee Jun asked. "Why aren't you waiting for her outside?" Fany asked. Kang Ta just smiled and didn't say anything. Kai and Michi on the side smiled. Miya glared at them, which made them smile even happier. "Kang Ta, say something," Tony said. Kang Ta looked at all of the people in the room. "Let's just wait for Daphne to come back, ok?" Kang Ta asked. The rest of the people looked at one another. *********************************************** "Daphne!" Julie said as she landed on the ground and picked up Daphne who was now in her white fox form. Julie then closed her eyes and said something while she moved her hand around. After a while, a white light appeared around Daphne. Julie placed Daphne on the floor and Daphne turned back into human shape. "Thanks Julie," Daphne said in a sad voice. Julie looked at her. "What's the matter, Daphne?" Julie asked. Daphne sighed. "I think that Kang Ta knows my true identity now," Daphne said. "So?" Julie asked. Daphne sighed again. "I don't think that he would want a fox to be his girlfriend would he?" Daphne asked. "I guess I'm still doomed to go back to the tribe and marry that Alex or whatever his name is." Julie shook her head. "I don't think that Kang Ta would really care if he really loved you," Julie said. Daphne looked at her. "I don't think that you have heard the legend about my ancestors," Daphne said. Julie looked at her weirdly. Daphne smiled bitterly. "Some things are just so coincidental. The sister of one of my ancestors went by the name of Daphne and the person that she had loved was called Chil Hyun as well." Julie looked at her with a frown. Daphne looked at her. "Kang Ta's real name is Chil Hyun." *********************************************** "It started off with Daphne falling in love with Chil Hyun. Chil Hyun was a human and she was a fox. Later, he found out that she was a fox and he got scared. He went away from her or at least, she went away from him thinking that he might care that she's fox. He still loved her and she of course would never change her love for him. She was also forced to marry someone else. She went away from the tribe and lived in the forest. One day, killers came to kill her. A girl who had loved the person that was suppose to marry Daphne sent them out to kill Daphne. Chil Hyun came - just in time to see one of them kill Daphne. The killers left. Daphne, with her last breath got to talk to Chil Hyun. They promised that they would meet again. No matter how long, what life time, they would meet again and continue that love," Daphne said as she sighed. "It just cast a long shadow all of us who are in the White Fox Tribe. That's why hardly any of us fall in love with humans. Not just because we can't give birth to normal children, it is because what if the man runs off because of fear?" "I'm sure that Kang Ta is not like that," Julie said. Daphne shook her head. "You don't understand Julie," Daphne said. "I don't even know Kang Ta that much. I just met him for the time that I was in the human world. Miya was right. I should have went back to the tribe. I shouldn't have caused so much trouble." "You are not causing trouble, Daphne," Julie said. Daphne smiled. "Thanks, Julie," Daphne said. "You said that Daphne thought that Chil Hyun might care that she's a fox but she never asked him," Julie said. "Why don't you go back and see what happens before you let Kang Ta go? Maybe he doesn't care at all?" "Maybe," Daphne said as she looked at the sky. "I don't know how I would react if he said that he does care though." Julie shook her head. "It doesn't matter. As long as you tried. We would help you through if he doesn't want you," Julie said. "You have all your friends beside you to help you through anything." Daphne smiled. "Now let's go back, ok?" Daphne then nodded. "We can't let the Black Foxes beat us, right?" Daphne asked. Julie nodded. *********************************************** "Wasn't someone suppose to go out and capture Daphne?" Jini asked, surprised. "There's someone there other than that Bird," Katyusha said. "I feel it." Jini and the rest of the girls then closed her eyes. She nodded. "I feel it also," Jini said. "How weird that we didn't feel it at the beginning." The rest of the girls nodded. "Although you can't really feel it without concentrating, once you feel it, you could tell that it's an extremely high energy level," Ada said. The rest of the girls nodded again. "Could it be that leader from the White Fox Tribe?" Jini asked. "It can't be. He wants to capture those four loose foxes. Why would he be only following them?" Katyusha pointed out. "It must be someone with either high powers or someone from the royal family," Kabuki said. "Or else they would never be able to do this." "What are we going to say to Kai and Michi now?" Holly asked. "The truth," Saeri answered. "We tried." *********************************************** "Daphne?" Julie asked as she looked at Daphne who was looking at the place where Kang Ta was living out without a movement. Daphne looked at her. "Yes?" Daphne asked faintly. "Are you still afraid?" Julie asked. Daphne looked away and back at the building before she finally nodded. "It's just�" "I know," Julie said. "I'm kind of afraid to let Woo Hyuk know that I'm a bird as well." Daphne looked at Julie in surprise. Julie smiled. "Yeah. I like Woo Hyuk. I guess you were right that when the time comes, I would see a cutie." Daphne smiled. "Congratulations," Daphne said. Julie smiled. "Don't congratulate me until Hyukkie and I are really a pair and he doesn't really care that I'm a bird, ok?" Julie asked. Daphne nodded. She then took a deep breath. "I guess we better go in now," Daphne said. "Are you ready?" Julie asked. Daphne shook her head. "No," Daphne answered truthfully. "But we have to go in at one point in time, right? And another thing is that if we don't go in, they would all be wondering where did Julie go as well. I don't want them to suspect you." Julie smiled. "Doesn't matter," Julie said. "Let's go in then. *********************************************** Chapter 20 "Oing? How did you go in by there and then come back in here?" Ji Hye asked as she looked at Daphne, who came in with Julie. "I�I climbed out of the window because something dropped out," Daphne explained as her face turned slightly red. She looked up and found that Kang Ta was looking at her. She quickly looked away. "Kang Ta insisted that we wait for you before we continue any further," Hye Sung said with a smile. "The girls were just talking about how envious they were of you to have a boyfriend who loves you that much." Daphne smiled nervously. "You are," Kai said suddenly. "You have a boyfriend who loves you so much that even if you weren't human, he would still tolerate you." Daphne glanced at her and then away. She had to talk about that right now. "What kind of a statement is that, Kai? That sounded so weird," Min Woo said. Kai just smiled and didn't answer. Kang Ta stood up and walked toward Daphne. Daphne then walked over to Miya. "Coward," Julie muttered. "Sorry for making you people worried," Daphne said to Miya and the rest. They just nodded. "Don't talk about it now," Dream said. Daphne nodded. She really hoped that Kang Ta wasn't right behind her because she really didn't want to face it. When she turned around, she found that she was extremely unlucky. "Daphne," Kang Ta called out. Daphne finally looked up and looked at him. "Yes?" Daphne asked. Kang Ta looked at her and then back at the other people who were beginning to have fun again. Finally, he looked at her again. "I�want to talk to you about something," Kang Ta said. Daphne looked at Julie and then finally back at Kang Ta. She looked away and sighed. "Ok," Daphne said. Kang Ta then took her hand and led her out the door. *********************************************** "Daphne thinks that Kang Ta wouldn't love her anymore because of that?" Miya asked. Julie nodded. "I told her that if Kang Ta really loved her, he wouldn't mind," Julie said. The rest of the girls nodded. "It looks as if they are ok though," Tiff said. "I thought that I just saw Kang Ta take her hand to go out. If he was afraid, he wouldn't be holding her hand." "What if he's only trying to make sure before he makes any movements?" Cindi asked with a grim expression. "I doubt it though. He would have discussed with the rest of the people. He was sitting in the living room watching tv the whole time and not talking to anyone," Dream said. "He wasn't even afraid of walking out alone with Daphne," Grace added. The rest of the people nodded. "What happened to your Leslie, Grace? We should have known that if you were here, he must not be beside you?" Julie said with a smile. Grace blushed. "What are you talking about? It's not like I'm not talking to you people," Grace said. "I know. Just a lot less," Julie said. *********************************************** "What�do you want to talk about?" Daphne asked as she looked at the ocean. She didn't dare to turn around and look at Kang Ta, who was beside her. "What do you think I want to talk about?" Kang Ta asked. Daphne shrugged. "There's so many things that I could think of that I don't know which one it would be that you want to talk about," Daphne said. "The one that is bothering you the most," Kang Ta said. Daphne finally gathered the courage to look at him. Kang Ta was already looking at her. "Why would you suppose that that would bother me the most?" Daphne asked. Kang Ta touched her face gently. "Because you wouldn't have ran away if you weren't bothered by it," Kang Ta said softly. Daphne stared into his eyes and felt as if she was about to cry. She then hugged him. "Kang Ta�" "Do you know that I really like you�or should I say love you?" Kang Ta asked. Daphne shook her head. "I don't know�I was afraid that you would have been afraid of me�I thought that you would have went away from me�" "I thought that I was the one who was suppose to be afraid of that," Kang Ta said with a smile. "You are so pretty as a human and so pretty as your regular form. How would I know if there were hundreds of other males going after you?" Daphne laughed as she wiped away the tears that had fell on to her cheeks and looked at Kang Ta. "I have a question," Daphne said. Kang Ta looked at her with a smile. "Did you ever suspected that I was not human?" Kang Ta thought for a while. He then nodded. "You know how you always go back home after I go out with you as a human form? I started to suspect at that point. There was a few more clues other than that. The night that you went out was the night the Hye Sung helped you," Kang Ta said. Then he turned a little red before he said, "And the time that I attempted to give you a bath, you ran out and I ran out after you. Then, I saw you in front of the building. I never saw you and your regular form at the same time. That's when I was suspecting. Especially how could a dog have the same exact eyes as a human?" Daphne smiled. "Hm�I wonder who else knows about this," Daphne said. She then turned and looked at Kang Ta. "That's why you weren't surprised when you saw me back as my regular form." Kang Ta nodded. "Weren't you afraid that I would eat you or something?" Daphne asked playfully. "If you want to, I'm standing right here," Kang Ta answered. Daphne smiled happily and hugged him. "I would never do that," Daphne said. Kang Ta then kissed her on her forehead. "I love you." *********************************************** "I need a new belt," Michi complained to Kai as they walked out the door. They got an excuse as to get some fresh air. "Why?" Kai asked. Michi grimaced. "Jae Won is feeding me too much food. He claims that I'm too skinny when he's skinny himself," Michi said. Kai laughed. "Thank God I don't have the same problem with Min Woo," Kai said. Michi stuck out her tongue at Kai. "Wait till he's yours. Maybe that's when he would do that," Michi said. Kai smiled. "Maybe he and someone else," Kai said. Michi's eyes widened. "You like another human?" Michi asked. Kai smiled. "What else would that mean?" Kai asked. Michi then smiled. "Who is it?" Michi asked. Curiosity was written all over her face. Kai smiled again and pointed back to the house. "I'll give you a hint. He's part of that group in there," Kai said. Michi looked and smiled. "As long as it's not Jae Won, I'm fine," Michi said. "Nope," Kai answered. "Don't worry about Jae Won. He should worry about his friend though." The two of them then smiled again. *********************************************** "Oh my God! You lucky goose!" Grace said. "Wrong!" Daphne said. "Lucky fox you mean." The rest of the people laughed. "That's right. Daphne is not a goose. She's a fox," Kang Ta said as he hugged Daphne a little closer. "But the main point is that she's lucky!" Grace said. "How many guys out there can actually accept the fact that their girlfriend is a fox?" Kang Ta smiled. "You never know about Leslie," Kang Ta said. Grace blushed. "Did Daphne tell you?" Grace asked. Kang Ta shook his head. "Everyone knows that you like him a lot," Kang Ta said. Grace blushed. "Yo! Daphne better watch out," Tiff said. "Leslie looks so much like Kang Ta that maybe Grace would change her direction and go after Kang Ta." Grace glared at her. "How do you know that I'm not already after him?" Grace asked. The rest of the people laughed as Kang Ta's eyes widened. "Anyways," Dream interrupted the joking, "How many people knows or at least suspects about Daphne's identity?" "Only me," Kang Ta answered. Dream nodded. "I think that I should tell you about Kai and Michi right now," Dream said. Kang Ta looked at her questioningly. "They are part of the Black Fox Tribes." *********************************************** "So that means that they are the bad ones?" Kang Ta asked. Dream nodded. "But that can't be," Kang Ta said. "Min Woo's mother knows about Kai." "She must have casts a spell on his mother," Dream said. "She knows that I don't really see Min Woo's mother that much so if she casts a spell on her, I would have no way of checking." Kang Ta then nodded. "So these people are after Daphne?" Kang Ta asked. The rest of the girls nodded. "Do you think that you could help us follow up what is Michi and Kai doing these days?" Miya asked. Kang Ta thought for a while. "Kai might be easier but I'm not too sure about Michi. Kai would be easier to know because she's following Min Woo around these days," Kang Ta said. He then thought of something. "Oh yeah! I heard that Min Woo got really drunk and Kai was the one who carried him home." The rest of the girls then nodded. "Wait," Cindi suddenly said. The rest of the people looked at her. She looked at the rest of the people. "Do you people get what I'm thinking of now?" The people shook their head. "What are you getting at?" Dream asked. "You know how Hisashi said that Kai had her eyes on a guy?" Cindi asked. The people nodded. "She's especially close to Min Woo?" The people then gasped. "You don't think that�" Miya started to say as she covered her mouth with her hand. "Do you think that she did something last night?" Grace asked. "But what's the use of it?" Daphne asked. "Didn't you say that Black Fox Tribe members have a specific rule saying that if they�eh�do something with a guy if he's unwilling, they would lose their power for a hundred years?" Kang Ta said. "Yeah, but she could imply the message to people," Miya said. Kang Ta then thought of something. "Uh�I think I heard Min Woo say that he had given Ji Hye a set of his home keys before," Kang Ta said. He then looked at the rest of the people. I'm here with your breakfast," Ji Hye said happily as she walked into Min Woo's house, humming a song. She then placed the food on the table. "Wooie?" She then looked around the house. There were clothes all over the floor and there was a few bottles of wine and beer. "Dang. He should learn how to clean up himself," Ji Hye said as she picked up the clothes. Something then caught her eyes. "Why�are there�woman's clothes�" Ji Hye said to herself as she picked up the clothes slowly. Mixed with Min Woo's clothes were some woman's clothes. The woman's clothes were a bit ripped here and there that seemed to be done by hand. She threw the clothes into the washing basket and some into the garbage. "Maybe it's just his family members or something." She then went over to table to clear the table of bottles and glasses. One of the glasses had a mark of lipstick on it. Ji Hye stood there and looked at the glass in shock for a few minutes before she came back to reality. She placed the glass on the table and slowly she looked toward the direction of Min Woo's room. Along the way to Min Woo's room, there were different articles of clothing, some woman's, and some man's. She ignored the clothing completely - she just wanted to know what happened. Finally, she reached Min Woo's room. She didn't know what to do, especially now that she's right in front of Min Woo's room. She then reached for the doorknob and turned it. He seemed to be so absorbed in what he was thinking that he didn't even heard Ji Hye enter the room. Ji Hye walked up to him slowly. "Min Woo?" Ji Hye said softly. Min Woo turned and looked at her. At first, there was a look of happiness but it was quickly replaced by regret, which was then quickly replaced by grief. Ji Hye sat down by him and placed her hand on his shoulder. To her shock, he shrugged her off. "What's�the matter?" Ji Hye asked despite of the pain. "Nothing," Min Woo said hoarsely. "Min Woo�tell me what happened," Ji Hye said. She had a feeling that something went wrong�if only he would tell her�they could work it out� "I told you nothing!" Min Woo almost yelled as he stood up and walked to the closet. He started to take out the things and threw them on to the bed. Ji Hye looked at them - she recognized them as things that she had given him. "You�don't like them anymore?" Ji Hye asked as in her mind, the image of Min Woo smiling happily as he accepted her gifts went pass. "I don't want them," Min Woo said. "I never liked them, I still don't like them, and I never would like them." Ji Hye looked at him with a hurt expression but then quickly covered it. "Well�Next time tell me what you want before I make them for you," Ji Hye said. "So now you're blaming me that I don't like them right?" Min Woo said. Ji Hye shook her head. "No! I'm not saying that," Ji Hye said. "I just hope that you like the things that I give you." "I don't want anything from you. I don't want you ok?" Min Woo asked as he took a jacket, put it on, and walked out of the door. He slammed the door shut, closing behind him, Ji Hye who was crying. Ji Hye immediately ran after him. "Min Woo!" Ji Hye called out before he closed the front door after him. Min Woo stopped moving and waited for what she had to say. "Tell me�tell me why you don�t love me anymore." Min Woo hesitated for a while. "I�I was just playing with you, ok?" Min Woo said. He then slammed the front door shut. This time, he closed not only Ji Hye to cry behind the door but himself crying as he jumped on his motorcycle and drove away. *********************************************** "What's�the matter with Ji Hye? She seems so into work," Poyan whispered to Wei Lin and Emily. Emily sighed. "I heard from Andy that Min Woo broke up with her," Emily whispered. Poyan and Wei Lin gasped. "Why?" Wei Lin asked. "I thought that Min Woo liked her a lot." "I heard him say that Min Woo said that he was just playing with her," Emily said. "That's too cruel of Min Woo," Poyan said as she shook her head. "I don't know," Emily said. "I heard from Andy that Min Woo seems upset when he's all alone by himself but he seems happy when he's with a lot of people." "I wonder what's wrong with him," Wei Lin said. The two other girls sighed. *********************************************** "What's wrong with you Min Woo?" Poyan asked as she walked up to him. She had decided to walk up to him today. Min Woo looked at her with his usual cold eyes. "What do you want?" Min Woo asked, impatiently. Poyan looked back at him with no fear in her eyes. "I want to know why are you like that with Ji Hye. Did you think of her as some kind of game? What's wrong with you? You shouldn't have walked up to Ji Hye if you never had feelings with her. Do you know that you hurt her so deeply now? You're too cruel, Lee Min Woo," Poyan said as she stared at him straight in his eyes. "I don't know what you are talking about," Min Woo said as he attempted to walk around Poyan. Poyan blocked him. "You are not going unless you talk to me about why are you like this with Ji Hye," Poyan said. Min Woo stared at her. "It's my business and at most her business as well. It has nothing to do with you," Min Woo answered. "If you want, go take care of your monkey." With that, he walked away. Poyan looked after him in shock. The Min Woo that she had came to known was never like that� *********************************************** "Kai�" Min Woo said as he sat down beside her at the beach. Kai was looking the other way. A perfect way to block him from seeing the smile that was on her face. "What do you want?" Kai asked. Min Woo sighed. "I'm�sorry about what happened," Min Woo said. Kai then made what sounded like a sob. "There's nothing that could be done anymore," Kai said. Min Woo sighed again. "I promise that I'll take full responsibility," Min Woo said. "Are you sure? What about Ji Hye?" Kai asked. There was silence for about two minutes before Min Woo answered. "I broke up with her." "Why?" Kai asked. "I thought that you loved her." "I can't lead her on when I know what I did to you," Min Woo said. Kai's smile got bigger. "But it's unfair to Ji Hye," Kai said. There was a short period of silence again. "She could find another person better than me," Min Woo said. Kai then turned around and hugged Min Woo before he could look at her face. "Min Woo�you're giving up so much for me," Kai whispered into his ears. "I was the one who wronged you," Min Woo said. "I promise that I'll treat you well." Kai nodded as she placed her head on to his chest. "Thank you Min Woo." *********************************************** "Julie!" Woo Hyuk called out after her as she walked out of Kang Ta's house. She was just there to look at Daphne. "Hi Woo Hyuk!" Julie said with a smile. "What's up?" Woo Hyuk walked up to her with a smile. "So you came over to look at Daphne?" Woo Hyuk asked as he glanced at Kang Ta's house. Julie nodded. "What are you doing here then?" Julie asked. Woo Hyuk smiled again. "I want to take you somewhere," Woo Hyuk answered. "Where?" Julie asked. Woo Hyuk then took her hand and took her to his car. *********************************************** "Oing? Why are we going to the park?" Julie asked. "You'll see," Woo Hyuk answered. "If you say so," Julie said as she looked out the window. *********************************************** "Wow! You could actually see the sunset here," Julie said as she sat on the bench next to the fountain. In front of the fountain, was a lake. "Yeah," Woo Hyuk answered. "It's pretty," Julie said. "So�that's all?" Woo Hyuk shook his head. He went over to next to the fountain and pulled something. Immediately, the water sprang up and the water seemed to dance in midair. Julie looked at it in surprise. "That's so pretty!" Woo Hyuk smiled. "You like it?" Woo Hyuk asked. Julie nodded. "Definitely," Julie answered. Woo Hyuk then nudged her gently. She looked at him. He pointed up in the air. The fireworks sprang up in the air and then fell to a place across the lake. Immediately, fluorescent lights sprang up as each bit of firework fell down. Julie then said to the words to herself. "I�Love�You�Julie�" Julie turned to look at Woo Hyuk. "Keep looking," Woo Hyuk said. Julie looked. "By�Woo�Hyuk�" Julie then looked at Woo Hyuk again. Woo Hyuk smiled shyly and then sat down at the bench. "I don't really know you that well but I know that I really like you�but I don't know what to do to show you my love," Woo Hyuk said. Julie looked at him. Woo Hyuk then smiled again. "Would you be my girlfriend, Julie? I promise that I would try my best to give everything to you." The other members of HOT turned around just in time to see Min Woo holding Kai's hand as they walked into SM building. "Whoa!" Hee Jun exclaimed. "What's the matter with you, Min Woo? I thought you had Ji Hye already? What's this with Kai?" "I broke up with Ji Hye," Min Woo said. "I figured that Kai is the right girl for me. Not Ji Hye." No one noticed that look of pain that crossed his eyes for just a second. They just noticed what he was saying. "I thought you said that you never found another girl more perfect than Ji Hye," Tony said with his eyebrow raised. "Sometimes�you can't be sure of everything," Min Woo said. "Min Woo�you're kidding right?" Kang Ta asked. Min Woo shook his head with a serious expression on his face. "If you would excuse me, I'm taking Kai around," Min Woo said. "That was Min Woo right? Lee Min Woo from Shinhwa?" Hee Jun asked Dong Wan. Dong Wan shrugged. "I'm not too sure anymore," Dong Wan answered. *********************************************** "Hey! I thought that you said there would be a victim number two for you. What happened to it?" Michi asked Kai. "What do you mean, victim number two? I don't call them victims. They should be happy that I'm even looking at them," Kai said. Michi smiled. Kai looked at her. "So did you guess who I was talking about last time." "No," Michi answered. "Babo," Kai said. "Hey! Just because I don't know who it is, that doesn't mean that I'm stupid," Michi said. Kai smiled. "You'll know soon enough and then you would know why I called you babo. You should know the type of boys I like now," Kai said. Michi's eyes widened. "Don't tell me that it's�" "Yep," Kai said with a victorious smile before Michi could finish. "It's him.
