**Explanation: In this fanfic, the foxes that are in each tribe have already changed into human. There might be a few that are not but I would specify which one has not change into human yet.

[Fic] The Stars Above Prologue

Prologue

In every different living species, there would be separation, just like the humans. One of such species is the species of the fox. This race is separated into many different tribes but there are only three tribes that are of the highest rank in the species: the White Fox Tribe, the Red Fox Tribe, and the Gray Fox Tribe. These three tribes hardly had any fights with one another because each of them rules their own territory. In fact, in many fights, they have helped one another fight against other species (whether it be other species of fox or of other animals) that were trying to take their lands.

Intermarriages are not common because the next generation given birth to would have a low chance in becoming human (In other words, if someone from the White Fox intermarries with someone from the Red Fox, their children would have a hard time in taking human form). The only way is reincarnation but that would be very dangerous for the male or the female who is doing this because there is not a sure way of getting born to the right tribe. There is also a chance of getting born in another specie, which would make it even harder.

Other than these three tribes, there is another tribe called the Black Fox Tribe. They are not in the ranking system. The other species of fox consider them as the enemies. Other animals try to get away from them in any way that they can find because the members from the Black Fox Tribe are known to be the most evil, cunning, and demon-like of all species, fox or not fox. They would not want to be their victim because once they get to them, they would not let go until they feel that their victim had suffered enough�

Chapter 1

"What happened to Daphne?"

The setting is a hallway with about ten people but all of them were uniformed in that they were wearing white. The person who asked the question seems to be of the highest rank seen from his clothes.

"I don't know, Your Highness," a young girl, dressed in white as well, answered.

"I thought that you were best friends with her, Dream?" the person said as he looked questioningly at the girl. The girl named Dream looked at the man silently with her head bowed respectfully to him. "You know that she is very important to us in that she is the only one in the whole tribe who is capable to marry a person from the other tribe. Another thing is that the leader of Red Fox Tribe already asked for her to get married with his son. If we don't find her, our many years of friendship would be ruined once and for all."

"I'll try my best to find her," Dream answered.

"Then go," the leader of the White Fox Tribe said with a wave of his arm. Dream bowed and walked out of the hall.

"Haha�Kang Ta, I really don't see why those girls are all after you," Hee Jun said. All the members of HOT were sitting in the van. They were going to the building of SM Entertainment from a show that they had just finished recording. The members were all sitting leisurely in the back seat talking. Kang Ta looked at Hee Jun with a grin.

"I can't help it if I look better than you," Kang Ta joked. Hee Jun punched him playfully. Suddenly, the van came to a stop.

"Whoa! What's wrong with you today!?" Hee Jun asked. He wasn't really directing it to the person driving the car. He was more interested in what had caused the car to come to a sudden stop.

All five members of HOT looked out of the windshield. There wasn't really something in front of it. Or at least they couldn't see anything.

"Let's go down and see what it is," Tony suggested. The other four nodded in approval. One by one, the members got off of the van. They walked to the front of the van. Hee Jun bent down.

"Wow," Hee Jun said. The other four members looked at what it was.

Lying right in front of the car was a beautiful white dog. The fur was so white and pure that it seemed as if it was a silver color under the moonlight. The dog looked at each of the members with alert eyes. The eyes were strangely beautiful in that it looked like those of humans and had in a sense a hidden story. Another peculiar thing about the dog was its similarity to a fox�

"That is one beautiful dog," Jae Won commented. The dog looked at Jae Won. Jae Won looked at it questioningly. "It seems as if it knows what we are talking about." The others looked at the dog.

"What is it doing in the middle of the road?" Woo Hyuk asked.

"I would suppose that such a beautiful dog would have an owner," Hee Jun said as he touched the dog gently on the head. The dog lied there quietly and allowed him to touch. The fur was so soft.

"And it seems as if it was trained," Kang Ta said as he looked at the dog. He, too, touched the dog. "What are we going to do with it?"

"What do you think?" Hee Jun asked as he straightened up. "That we should take it home?"

"That's not a bad idea," Jae Won said. "You hardly see such a beautiful dog."

"But what if it has an owner?" Hee Jun asked.

"Well then the owner should have taken better care of it. What kind of an owner would he or she be if they would let the dog wander off by itself," Kang Ta said. He had already picked up the dog and held it gently in his arms as he touched the dog on its head. The others nodded again.

"Who's going to keep it?" Tony asked.

"I suppose that it would be Kang Ta since he's holding it right now," Hee Jun said.

"I don't mind," Kang Ta said with a shrug.

"You already have two dogs already, hyung," Jae Won said.

"What? You want to keep it?" Kang Ta asked.

"I don't care. We could always go over to your house when we want to see the dog," Jae Won said.

"Then it's all set, right? We're keeping the dog, right?" Hee Jun asked. The rest of the members nodded.

"Welcome to my house, girl," Kang Ta said to the dog as he let the dog in. He then closed the door after the dog came in. He bent down and picked the dog up. "Who would be this cruel and abandon you?" he said in a low voice and then kissed the dog on its head. The dog looked at him in surprise but then quickly looked away as if nothing happened.

Kang Ta walked into his room and then placed the dog down on the floor.

"You stay in here right now, ok? The people in my family don't know about you yet and I don't really know how they would react to me picking up a dog on the street and bringing it home. We'll see about it later, ok?" Kang Ta said. The dog looked at him with an understanding look in her eyes. Kang Ta smiled. "I'm starting to really believe that you are trained."

That night.

She opened one of her eyes slowly and looked around. Hm�It looks like everyone is asleep? She slowly got up and walked over to the door and out.

In the street.

"Aigo�It's at least five more days until it's the full moon, right?" Daphne said as she looked at the moon with a pout. "That means that I could only get a teeny bit of power before that. Oh well�At least I could still get back to my human form." She then looked around the street curiously. "So unfair that Dream always get to come out and I don't." She walked slowly toward her left and then stopped. "What if that guy suddenly wakes up and figures that I'm not in there?" Thinking of the guy, her hand went up to her forehead where the guy had kissed her a while ago. "Oh well. Hehe�" she mumbled. She then giggled childishly before continuing to walk. She had especially white skin compared to other people which made her stand out more with her big eyes and long black hair (chilhyun1979: This is definitely NOT a description of me�my eyes aren't really small but�argh�I don't look that pretty�:P�Oops� didn't I just say that gracie was going to smack me? *runs away*). Another thing was she was wearing all white. She caught most of the people's views as she walked down the street with curiosity to everything that she sees.

"Hm�There's such a thing as money in the human world right?" Daphne said as she looked at the people paying the person who was selling things. "So confusing." She continued walking down the street. As she walked more, the more fascinated she seems by the things on the street. "So unfair! Why can't we ever come out? As long as we don't do anything that is different from humans�"

"Are you looking for something?" someone suddenly asked Daphne. She turned around and looked at the guy who just talked to her. She smiled brilliantly at him and shook her head.

"No. Thanks for trying to help though," Daphne said as she turned around and started to walk away. The person then grabbed her wrist. She turned around and looked at the person. The guy tried to pull her away but she resisted. For her lack on experience in the human world, she doesn't know what to do in a situation like this. Another thing was that she lost more than ninety percent of her powers. "Let go of me!"

"Just come with me," the guy said. Daphne looked at him with disgust. Suddenly, someone grabbed hold of the place where the guy was holding Daphne and forced the person to let go of her. After a few minutes, the guy ran away. Daphne looked at the person who helped her.

"Thanks," Daphne said with a smile.

"It's pretty dangerous for a girl to walk around alone in the middle of the night," the guy said. "What happened to your family? Shouldn't they come out with you?"

"My family?" Daphne said. She looked around and then replied, "I don't have a family."

"Oh I'm sorry," the guy said. Daphne looked at him. He looks as if he was a really nice guy. The guy smiled at her.

"It's ok," Daphne said.

"Then where do you live? I'll call a taxi for you to bring you home," the guy said.

"It's ok. It's somewhere near here," Daphne answered. She looked behind him. She could almost be sure that a few minutes before the bad guy tried to pull her away, she saw him got out of his car. That means that he really must be a good guy.

The guy nodded at Daphne comment.

"Then go home early. Whoever is taking care of you must be worried about you," the guy said. Daphne nodded. She then smiled at him.

"My name is Daphne. What's yours?" Daphne asked. If she's going to live in the human world for quite a while, she might as well get some friends. Even if there was the full moon *sigh* she would only get back a few percentage of powers.

"My name is Hye Sung," the guy said.

Chapter 2

"Umma! Did you see this white dog?" Kang Ta said as he looked around the house.

"What are you talking about? Both of your dogs are in the house."

"I'm not talking about them two. There's this other�Never mind," Kang Ta said as he continued to look. So weird. He could have swore that nothing changed since last night. He went back to his room. He looked at the scene in front of him. "There you are!" he exclaimed happily as he went over to the dog and picked it up.

"Where did you go huh? I could have been sure that you were not in the room when I left it," Kang Ta said. The dog looked at him innocently. Kang Ta laughed and kissed it on the forehead again.

"Kang Ta! Hee Jun and the rest of them are here to see you!"

"Oh ok umma! Tell them to come to my room?" Kang Ta called out. In a few minutes, the rest of the members of HOT came into his room.

"Hi doggie. How are you today? Did Kang Ta hit you or abuse you in any other way?" Hee Jun asked as he looked at the dog that was lying peacefully in Kang Ta's arms.

"You know that I won't," Kang Ta said as he looked at the dog.

"You never know. She might be good with you right now because you made her do it," Hee Jun said. The rest of the people laughed.

"Hey! You ready to go to the company yet?" Jae Won asked. Kang Ta nodded and stood up.

"Don't tell me that you're bringing the dog with you," Tony said. Kang Ta shrugged.

"How about we take it to the doctor to check it out?" Kang Ta said. "So that my umma wouldn't say anything about it staying in the house?" The rest of the members nodded.

"But where would it stay when we are at SM?" Woo Hyuk asked.

"Oh well. We'll see about it when we get there," Kang Ta said.

"You sure that you want to keep it, Kang Ta?" Hee Jun said as he looked at the dog. The more a person looked at that dog, the more you liked it.

"Yeah," Kang Ta said.

"But they said that it's not really a dog," Hee Jun said. "They say that it might be a fox, didn't they?"

"They say that they aren't sure about it," Kang Ta said as he looked at the dog. "No big deal. They didn't prove that it's not a dog either, right girl?" he asked the dog.

"I mean, if you don't want to keep the dog, I would," Hee Jun said. Kang Ta looked at him with a smile.

"Don't worry about it. You'll be the first one that I'll contact if I don't want it," Kang Ta answered. Hee Jun looked at him.

"And that would be never," Hee Jun said. The rest of the members laughed.

"Hey! That dog is pretty," Dong Wan said as he looked at the dog that was lying on the floor.

"It is just so cute," Eugene said as she patted it gently on its head.

"I know," Kang Ta said as he looked at the dog affectionately.

"I never saw a dog with such pretty eyes," Shoo added.

"How weird," Hye Sung suddenly commented. Everyone looked at him. He looked back at the other people. "What? It's just that the eyes looks like this girl that I saw last night." The rest of the people laughed.

"That is mean Hye Sung," Hee Jun said.

"What?" Hye Sung asked. He didn't understand.

"He means that it's mean that you are saying that a girl's eyes looks like those of a dog," Jun Jin explained.

"Actually, if that girl had those kind of eyes, her eyes must be kind of pretty," Min Woo commented. The others nodded in agreement. (chilhyun1979: Don't mind me)

"She was kind of pretty," Hye Sung answered. The others looked at him.

"We should have thought of it earlier," Hee Jun said to the others. Dong Wan, Jun Jin, and Min Woo nodded.

"Definitely," Dong Wan answered.

"What?" Hye Sung asked as he looked at the rest of the people.

"That you like that girl that you are talking about," Dong Wan answered.

"I do not," Hye Sung said.

"Or else why is it that you keep thinking of her?" Jun Jin asked.

"I just thought of her because I saw the dog's eyes!" Hye Sung quickly explained.

"If you didn't like her, you wouldn't have remembered her," Min Woo concluded.

"I remembered her because she was about to be pulled away by this guy and I helped her," Hye Sung said. The four people finally got satisfied and left Hye Sung alone.

"It's definitely a rare type of dog though," Eric said as he studied the dog.

"They say that it might be a fox though," Jae Won said as he looked at the rest of the people look at the dog in awe.

"Hey! That would be cool to have a fox as a pet," Sea said.

"They're not sure about it," Kang Ta said as he went over to the dog and picked it up again. (chilhyun1979: I wish)

"Oh well," Min Woo said.

"White fox are too rare to appear in the middle of the street anyways," Fany said. The others nodded.

"You don't really get to see foxes around here," Tony said.

"What's up Dream?" Julie asked as she smoothed out her clothes that got wrinkled from her long distance of travel.

"Can you help me look for Daphne?" Dream asked with a frown.

"Hehe�She didn't go back yet?" Julie asked. Dream shook her head.

"You know that you have a higher possibility of finding her than me," Dream said. "You're a bird right?" Julie nodded. "The miles that you travel are more than me."

"So you are going to count on me right?" Julie said with a smile. Dream nodded. "I'll try to. I'm not sure though. You know that when Daphne doesn't want people to find her, it would be hard. Especially when people from the White Fox Tribe and the Red Fox Tribe are both looking for her. She's going to hide even better now."

"I know," Dream said as she got more worried. "What are we going to do? You know that if we don't find her, the two Tribes would go against one another."

"Yeah I know," Julie said as she looked toward the sky. "I'll try my best. You know that the Black Fox Tribe would get into this also if anything." Dream gritted her teeth.

"More than likely," Dream answered. "Well I'm going to go look for Daphne now. Thanks a lot Julie."

"No problem," Julie answered. She transformed into her original form and flew away in her search for Daphne.

"Hehe�The people from the White Fox Tribe and the Red Fox Tribe are going crazy looking for Daphne," a girl said as she leaned comfortably on a chair. She was in a room with six other girls. All of them were wearing black.

"So? What does that got to do with us?" another girl said.

"I heard that she has the ability to give birth to a fox that can take human form no matter what the other mate is," a third girl spoke up.

"What use is that to us, Saeri? You're a female remember?" the second girl who spoke up before said. The girl named Saeri glared at her.

"Did you turn stupid over the course of one night, Ada?" Saeri asked.

"You wish," the girl, Ada, answered.

"She might come into use one day," another girl spoke up.

"What are you talking about, Kai? Now you're agreeing with Holly and Saeri?" Ada asked.

"Nothing weird about that. It's too quiet these days," the girl named Kai answered as a smile appeared on her face.

"That's true," Ada said with a little smile. "Maybe it is time to pull a few hair out of the tails of those so called good fox tribe members to show them the members of the Black Fox Tribe isn't nothing."

"That's a good idea. So you think that we should begin to look for Daphne?" Holly, the first girl who spoke, asked.

"Not all of us since a few of you already attacked her the first day she came to our territories," Kai answered. "There might be other things to do. But I suggest that people like Holly, Kabuki, and Jini to not go because I think that Daphne remembers you three."

"Why us?" Kabuki asked.

"You noticed that she has extremely good memory right?" Kai asked. �It probably has something to do with her power to bear fox that can take human form.� The other girls in the room all nodded to Kai�s suggestion.

"That's true," Jini said with a smile as she played with a lock of her hair. "This is so good that the boring days are finally going to be over." The other girls in the room smiled�

Chapter 3

Daphne looked at the people while lying in Kang Ta's arms. They were still in the building right now. So that guy that saved her was named Hye Sung. He seems like a good guy. What were these people again? Gasoos right? They supposedly performed in front of people with singing and everything right? That�s kind of like Miya. Hehe�

�Kang Ta�Are you sure that you want to keep the dog? I mean, I would be willing to keep it,� Eugene said with a smile. There was no one in the room who didn�t liked the dog. Hehe�Daphne felt so loved�

Kang Ta nodded in a definite way.

�You are welcomed to come over to see her when you want to though. But I want to keep her,� Kang Ta answered. Eugene nodded.

�You would be pretty weird if you didn�t like her,� Eugene said as she touched the soft fur of the dog.

�You sure that she doesn�t have an owner?� Min Woo asked. Kang Ta shook his head.

�I don�t know,� Kang Ta answered.

�What if they come and ask for her?� Sea asked. Kang Ta shrugged.

�Depends who she wants to go with,� Kang Ta answered. The rest of the people looked at one another. Everyone could see that Kang Ta was really attracted to this pretty dog.

�But what if they find out that it�s a fox? Wouldn�t they take it back to the wild?� Shoo asked.

�It can�t be one,� Kang Ta answered. �What is a fox doing in the middle of a city? Besides, I think I saw in a place, it was hurt.�

"Really?" Dong Wan asked as he went over to look at the dog. "Where was it hurt?" Kang Ta lifted Daphne up and pointed to a spot near the heart. It was a big cut but weirdly enough, if a person didn't carefully looked for it, they would not see it.

"I just saw it today also," Kang Ta explained. "Weird how the dog doesn't cries in pain and everything." Everyone nodded.

"Maybe we should try to heal it in some way?" Jae Won suggested. Kang Ta nodded.

"I think that I'll try to today," Kang Ta answered.

�Hey! I heard from Ada that they found where Daphne is,� Kabuki said with a little smile to Kai.

�Where is she?� Kai asked.

�She�s in Seoul right now,� Kabuki answered. �I heard that she�s living with this guy right now.� Kai burst out laughing.

�Living with a guy!?� Kai asked as she continued laughing. �She wouldn�t go with the son of the leader of the Red Fox Tribe and she went to live with a human?�

�She�s in her original form, Kai,� Kabuki said.

�That explains it,� Saeri said as she looked at her nails. "She's pretending to be a regular dog right?" Kabuki nodded.

"Hehe�I wonder what the guy's expression would be like if he knew that she could turn into human," Katyusha said.

"Want to try?" Saeri asked with a smile. She never picked up her head and looked at the others yet.

"Sure why not?" Katyusha asked. "And then he kicks her out and we could capture her."

"You'll have to get her hair though�When she turns into human," Kabuki said. Katyusha frowned.

"That's the worst part. God knows when would be the next time that she turns into a human," Saeri said with a pout. "It's no fun."

"We'll just keep a tight watch on her, Saeri. Don't mind about that. We'll get it one day," Katyusha said with a hinting smile.

What the�..!!!!!!!??????

"Ahhhh!!!!!! Stop it, girl!" Kang Ta said as he tried to hold Daphne down.

What in the world is this guy trying to do? He's trying to��.give her a bath?!?!?!?! In his dreams he's giving her a bath! No one dared to touch her since she was a child!!!!!! Not to mention after they knew about her special abilities.

"It's only a bath. Nothing more than that," Kang Ta said gently when he finally got hold of her.

Grr�If she still had a little more powers left�She would kill him. Finally, Daphne got out of his hold and ran out of the bathroom door and out the door of the house.

"Where in the world is she going to go?" Kang Ta murmured to himself as he walked out of the door of the house with an umbrella. As if by coincidence, it was raining outside. Just when he walked out of the door, to his left, he saw a girl wringing out the water from her sleeves. He turned and looked at her. She was wearing all white and her long black hair was hanging on her side dripping with water. The girl seems to have sensed that someone was looking at her and she turned her head and looked at him. First, she looked at him with a slight look of anger. Then, she looked at him questioningly for he stared at her for over a few minutes already. She raised her hand and waved her hand in front of his face. Not working. Tried it again. Finally, he came back to reality.

"What were you looking at?" the girl asked. Not in the mean way but out of curiosity.

"Um�yeah�I never saw you around here before�" Kang Ta stuttered as he looked at the girl. Her skin was also really white compared to normal people. Her big eyes seemed even bigger against her skin.

"Hehe�I'm new here," the girl said with a smile. Kang Ta nodded.

"Um�your not Korean right?" Kang Ta asked. The girl looked Korean but there was also a sense of French* in there.

"Nope, I'm not from Korea. What you thought that I was?" the girl asked.

"Not really because you don't look exactly Korean," Kang Ta said. The girl giggled a little.

"Really?" the girl asked.

"So you wouldn't know who I am? Or do you?" Kang Ta asked.

"Yeah I do," the girl said. "You're Kang Ta right?" Kang Ta looked at her in surprise. How did she know that? "I saw a lot of people call you that so I suppose that that's your name?" Kang Ta nodded. Does she know that he's a gasoo? "My name is Daphne. Nice to meet you." She held out her hand to him. Kang Ta looked at her for a moment before shaking it. Suddenly, Daphne looked up in the sky and her expression changed. "I'm sorry! I have to go for now. Talk to you next time." With that, she turned around and ran away. *(chilhyun1979: Seriously, people thought that I looked French�If anyone cares to know :)�)

"Wait!" Kang Ta called out. Daphne turned and looked at him. Kang Ta caught up with her and handed her the umbrella. "Take this with you."

"What about yourself?" Daphne asked.

"Doesn't matter. My house is right here," Kang Ta answered. "Um�Are you new in this country?" Daphne nodded. "You can come and look for me if you need any help." Daphne looked at him for a second before smiling and nodding. She then turned around and ran away. Kang Ta stood there in the rain and looked in the direction that Daphne ran away in�

"Daphne!" Julie called out as she stopped right in front of Daphne with her two arms wide open to block her from running.

"Um�hehe�long time no see, Julie," Daphne said with a nervous smile as she looked on the two sides. Her luck for Julie to find her.

"You know that this would cause war between the two tribes?" Julie asked as she walked a little closer to Daphne.

"You know that I never saw that guy and I don't even suppose that I would ever like him!?" Daphne asked as she walked to the side with a pout. "It's so unfair. Just because I'm the only one within the last few thousand of years, doesn't mean that I can't get to choose who I want to get married with!"

"He likes you," Julie said.

"How would you know that? I never even saw him," Daphne answered as she started to pick on the bark of the tree nearby.

"Yeah you did," Julie answered. "He was at the annual ball game last summer. He saw you at that time and he started to like you."

"Which one is he?" Daphne asked, getting a little curious. "Actually, forget it because I won't remember anyways."

"Daphne�"

"Julie�please don't make me?" Daphne pleaded. "I never asked you for anything."

"But I promised Dream�" Julie said with a worried expression. "Both of you are my friends�What am I suppose to do?"

"Just say that you tried and you never saw me," Daphne said. She then proceeded to kneel in front of Julie. Julie pulled her up before she could kneel down.

"What are you doing?" Julie asked. "You know that that would not do."

"Just help me for once?" Daphne said as she looked at Julie with pleading eyes. "I don't want to get married to someone that I don't love." Julie looked at her for a few minutes.

"Just this once," Julie said. Daphne let out a smile.

"Thank you so much Julie!" Daphne exclaimed as she hugged Julie.

"Ok, ok�" Julie said as she pulled Daphne off. "Who was that guy? The one who gave you the umbrella." Daphne looked at her and then blushed.

"What do you mean? Who could he be?" Daphne said as she looked away as she remembered how Kang Ta had kissed her a few times.

"You know what I mean," Julie said with a smile. "He's really cute. Come on. Tell me. Is he your boyfriend?" Daphne faced Julie and quickly shook her head.

"He is not," Daphne said. "He just helped me a few times since I came to the human world." Julie sighed.

"You are so lucky. Your first time to the human world and you met such a cute guy. I've been here forever and I hardly talked to such a cutie," Julie said. Daphne smiled.

"You'll get to see one when the time comes for you," Daphne said.

Chapter 4

Kang Ta looked at clock on the wall. It's pretty late already and the dog had disappeared for a pretty long time. The dog�remembering the dog, reminded him of that really pretty girl who was in front of his house�He then shook his head.

"As if there was a possibility to see her again. That would be like�one percent out of a hundred," Kang Ta said with a short laugh. Although he had said so to himself, he couldn't help but wanted to see that girl again�

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. He got up and walked to the door. When he opened the door, he saw nothing there. He looked down and there was the dog�

"Where did you go?" Kang Ta said as he touched the hair of the dog. "I suppose that you know it was raining. Did you know that even dogs might get sick sometimes?" As if to prove his point, the dog sneezed. Kang Ta laughed. "Told you." He then looked at her again. "Don't run away next time again, ok? We'll just talk it over." He looked at her eyes. How weird that they resembled that girl named Daphne's. He looked away and thought out loud, "Weird how I suddenly wanted to call you Daphne�Now I have to believe that Hye Sung saw a girl with eyes like you right? Hey! "You could have gotten the hair today," Kabuki said to Katyusha.

"You think that I would risk my life trying to get her hair? That Julie was beside her when she turned into human," Katyusha said as she sat into her chair.

"That's true," Saeri said. "Oh well. I guess we would have to wait till next time." Katyusha then thought of something.

"You know that guy that she's living with right now?" Katyusha asked. "He looks cute."

"Is he?" Kai asked with a laugh. "Now that explains why she didn't run away." The other girls also laughed.

"How old is he about?" Holly asked. She was getting curious about this guy who Daphne rather stayed with than go marry the son of the leader of a tribe.

"He's around 20 or 21. Something like that," Katyusha answered. Holly nodded.

"Interesting," Holly answered. Katyusha raised an eyebrow at her.

"Interesting?" Katyusha asked.

"What do you mean 'interesting'?" Saeri asked. Holly just gave a little smile.

"Oh well�If she's not going to tell, no fun in trying to make her tell. You know that Michi is coming back from Japan tomorrow?" Kai asked. The rest of the girls looked over in interest.

"Really?" Jini asked. "I thought she liked it back in Japan?"

"Nah�She's coming back tomorrow after she gets everything done on that side," Kai answered.

"Haha�Let me guess: Someone stepped on her tail again?" Ada asked with a smirk. "I remember last time when someone accidentally got on her tail and she made sure that that thing never appear in this continent every again."

"Hey! That's the characteristic of all of us," Saeri said.

"True," Ada said. "I remember your little history." Saeri looked at her.

"I remember yours also," Saeri answered.

"Face it. We know everyone's," Kabuki said as she rested her head in her palm.

"We each had our special little history�I think that this would be another chance to add something," Kai said. The rest of the girls smiled at the thought�

"Huh? You people are over again?" Kang Ta asked as he opened the door.

"What? We want to see the dog again," Hee Jun said as he walked through the door.

"Oh," Kang Ta answered. He turned back toward the inside of the house. "Daphne! There are people here to see you again!"

"Daphne?" Hye Sung asked in surprise. Kang Ta looked at him and nodded.

"Yeah," Kang Ta answered with a smile.

"That's what you named the dog?" Hye Sung asked. Kang Ta nodded again. "I think that was the name of the girl who had eyes like the dog."

"You saw her also?" Kang Ta asked. "I mean, it was the same girl that you saw?"

"You saw her?" Hye Sung asked. Kang Ta nodded.

"She was wearing all white and had black hair that was pretty long. She had big eyes which looked even bigger with her exceptionally white skin and those eyes really resembled the dog's," Kang Ta described. Hye Sung nodded with each word Kang Ta said.

"That was exactly how she looked like."

"I guess we saw the same girl," Kang Ta concluded.

"From what you people said�She must be pretty," Brian stated. Both Kang Ta and Hye Sung nodded.

"She is pretty," Kang Ta answered with a little smile. Hee Jun looked at him.

"Hehe�Taya? Are you in love?" Hee Jun asked as he looked at Kang Ta with a hinting smile. Kang Ta looked at him and started to get red.

"No~! How can I be in love with someone that I have only met once?" Kang Ta asked although he couldn't really fight away that feeling of wanting to see her again.

"Have you ever heard of love at first sight?" Jun Jin jumped in.

"Jun Jin�" Kang Ta said warningly. Jun Jin flashed him a smile.

"It's highly possible, Kang Ta," Dong Wan decided to join in.

"Anything is possible these days," Min Woo said.

"Oh God�" Kang Ta said as he slapped his forehead.

"We're not kidding. If you really like her, we could at least try to help?" Min Woo added. "I mean, there's so many of us."

"I never said that I liked her," Kang Ta said.

"But you never said that you don't like her," Hee Jun said. Hehe�These four decided that it's Kang Ta's turn to get attacked?

"Yeah but�" Kang Ta started.

"No buts," Dong Wan said.

"Well�" Kang Ta was going to start again.

"No wells also," Min Woo said. "Just yes or no."

"How�"

"No hows also," Hee Jun said. "We insist on knowing." The other three nodded. Kang Ta looked at the floor and thought for a second.

"Hey�" Kang Ta started softly. "Since when did this turn into you people's business?" The four boys looked at one another for a while. Then, like identical quadruplets, the four people shrugged. Kang Ta sighed. "Eh? What happened to Daphne?"

"She didn't come out yet," Fany answered.

"Daphne!" Kang Ta attempted to call again. No answer. Eh? What happened? Usually, she would be running out to him. The other people looked at one another.

"Did�she run away?" Andy suggested.

"Hey! Do you think that we'll be able to look for a model for your new designs soon enough?" Emily asked Ji Hye.

"I don't know. What do you think?" Ji Hye asked Poyan and Wei Lin.

"Well, it's possible. But we need the height, the complexion, and everything else," Poyan said. Ji Hye sighed.

"So much for us working through the nights thinking these designs up," Ji Hye said to Wei Lin. Wei Lin nodded in agreement.

"Hey! Think about it in the good way! The four of us is still so young and we two opened this store which is turning out successful and you two are already so famous in designing clothes," Emily said.

"That's true," Wei Lin said. "How about we go out for lunch today? I'll pay the bill?" The other girls nodded in agreement.

"Ji Hye!" Wei Lin suddenly pulled her over while they were walking on the street to a nearby restaurant.

"What happened?" Ji Hye asked as the four girls all stopped walking and looked in the direction at where Wei Lin was looking at.

"That girl would be perfect for the modeling," Poyan said.

"Yeah! I mean, she has the height and everything," Emily added.

"That's why I was so shocked and happy at the same time when I saw her. Happy because I thought that we found ourselves a model and shocked because I can't believe that going out for lunch would bring us such luck!" Wei Lin said.

"If it's luck or not, we would have to ask the girl if she would be willing to do the modeling first though, Wei Lin," Ji Hye said. Wei Lin nodded, still smiling.

"But at least we got the chance!" Wei Lin said. The other girls nodded.

"Damn it. Who are those girls?" Kabuki asked Saeri as they looked at the four girls walking up to the other girl from a window of a tall building. She was there with Saeri as well as with Kai.

"You think that I'm suppose to know?" Saeri asked. "It's only my first time seeing them."

"No matter what, they made this part of our plan fail so they would have to pay the price to it," Kai said as the three girls continued to look at the girls below�

Chapter 5

"Hi!" Ji Hye was the first to greet the girl. The girl turned around and looked at them without a bit of fear or alertness as most people would have.

"Yes?" the girl asked.

"We just want to know if you are interested in modeling," Poyan said.

"Modeling?" the girl asked. The four girls nodded. "What's that?" The four girls looked at one another.

"It's like, walking on a stage and showing people different types of clothes," Wei Lin explained, trying to make it as short as possible.

"Oh�" the girl said as she nodded in understanding.

"So are you interested?" Emily said.

"Not really�I would be thinking that Miya would be interested because she usually sings and dances in major events back at home�" the girl said. The four girls thought that it was the end of their hope when the girl suddenly added, "but I guess it would be kind of fun to try it."

"So you're willing to try it?" Poyan asked, getting excited. The girl nodded and gave them a smile. The four girls then high-fived one another.

Ji Hye then hugged the girl.

"Thank you so much!" Ji Hye said. "I thought that it would be the end for this new design but you came and save the day! Thank you!"

"It's ok!" the girl said.

"What's your name?" Emily asked as she still couldn't help be keep smiling.

"Daphne."

"Where did she go?" Kang Ta kept saying as he looked at the other people who were also really worried about Daphne.

"I think that we should go out and look for her," Hee Jun said. The rest of the people agreed.

"But where are we going to look for her?" Jae Won asked. The other people frowned.

"I don't know. But I guess we could try," Min Woo said. "I mean, trying wouldn't be bad and we might get something out of it." The other people nodded.

"So how old are you?" Wei Lin asked.

"Uh�" Daphne didn't know what to say. Like they would believe it if she told them?

"Wei Lin, you are not suppose to ask for someone's age�" Ji Hye said.

"Oops. Pretend that I never said that. But you look young anyways," Wei Lin said with a smile. Daphne returned her smile.

"So�Do you know anything about modeling?" Poyan asked. Daphne shook her head. The four girls looked at one another. Oh well�still have to teach her though�

"We'll just teach you as we go along�Can you come back to our studio with us today?" Emily asked. Daphne thought for a while. Kang Ta would kill her�oh well�

"Yeah, sure," Daphne said with a smile. The four girls smiled back.

"I hope that everything works out fine," Ji Hye said with a excited expression. The other girls nodded.

"Me too. But we probably have pretty good luck since we found Daphne when we were at the edge of nothing," Wei Lin said.

"That's a good sign," Poyan added.

"Hey! Kang Ta! Is that the girl that you saw on the streets?" Hye Sung suddenly asked as he looked out the window. The van was stopped at a red light. Kang Ta looked out Hye Sung's side. Sure enough, behind the glass of the caf�, he sees Daphne.

"Yeah," Kang Ta answered. The other boys immediately looked out Hye Sung's side as the van drove up to the sidewalk and parked there.

"That's the girl?" Min Woo asked.

"Which one?" Hee Jun asked.

"There are four of them. Which one are you talking about?" Jae Won asked. The two young man were suddenly bombarded with questions.

"The one wearing all white," Kang Ta answered.

"I think that all of them are kind of pretty," Tony said.

"Haha�Tony, are you thinking about getting one of them to be your girlfriend?" Eric asked as he laughed and punched Tony playfully on the arm.

"Yeah sure, why not?" Tony answered. The other boys laughed. Hee Jun then cleared his throat. Everyone looked at him noticing that he must have something to say.

"You could get the girls to be your girlfriends�but�" Hee Jun said.

"What?" the boys asked in unison.

"You must leave the girl in all white to Kang Ta because you saw how he was thinking about her for so long," Hee Jun said as a playful smile appeared on his face. Kang Ta turned red and looked at Hee Jun.

"I told you that there's nothing between her and me," Kang Ta protested.

"Oh! So you don't like her? Then it doesn't matter if someone asked her out right?" Hee Jun asked. Kang Ta looked at Daphne again. Hee Jun smiled.

"I'll stop teasing you�" Hee Jun said. Kang Ta looked at him gratefully. "For now," Hee Jun suddenly added.

Huh? Why is the scent so strong all of a sudden?

Daphne looked outside the glass that was separating her from the outside. She saw the van. She sensed the Kang Ta was on the van. Looking for her? Daphne suddenly smiled. However, her smile quickly disappeared as fast as it had came. There was another force in the room�

Daphne quickly looked around the caf�No�They were not in sitting in any of the tabled�She lost her powers but she could still sense these things�they were in there�

"What are you looking for?" Ji Hye suddenly asked. Daphne shook her head and smiled nervously at Ji Hye.

"Nothing," Daphne answered.

"Oh," Ji Hye answered. She was sure a weird girl�This Daphne�

"Hi! Would you like anything else other than the drinks that you have ordered?" a girl's voice suddenly asked them.

"You are�" Emily asked.

"The waitress that have been serving you before have left earlier today so I would be serving you," the girl answered. Daphne looked up and a little gasp escaped from her mouth�
