Chapter 7

"Aren't you the people that went to the castle the other day?" Sharon asked in surprise as she looked at the people coming out of the elevator to the little restaurant at the basement level of the hotel.  The people looked up.

"Oh yeah!  You were that girl the other day," Linna said with a smile.  Gigi blushed when she saw Jae Won.

"Hi," Gigi mumbled.  The other people exchanged greetings and they talked.

"Oh!  So you people are also tourists here?" Cindi said.

"Yeah," Miya answered.  "My brother lives in England."

"Your brother?" Cindi asked.  Miya nodded and pointed to Tony who was making juice at the bar-like table.  Jun Jin, Eric, Dong Wan, and he were talking and laughing as they prepared the fruit juices for the people seated.

"Oh.  So he's your brother," Cindi said as she nodded and smiled.

"Yep.  Unfortunately," Miya said.

"How do you people like England so far?" Ji Hye asked.

"It's nice," Andy said.

"Hm" Hashie suddenly said.  The people looked at him.  He looked back at them.  "It would be better if there were ghosts at the castle."

"He's always like that," Emily said.  "Don't mind him."

"Yeah and Emily hates me," Hashie said.  Emily rolled her eyes.  The sound of the elevator arriving caught the people's attention.

"Eh?  I thought that everyone is here already?" Fany said.

"I might be Dong Wannie oppa's sister," Sharon commented.

"Dong Wan has a sister?" Gigi asked.  The people nodded when the elevator opened.

"Hi people!" Eugene said as she walked over to the table that the people were sitting at.  Sea walked over also.

"These are the new people living here right?" Sea asked as she looked at the people that were seated.

"Yep," Miya said.  She looked at the people.  "Actually, you people introduce yourself because there's too many of you."  The people laughed and introduced themselves.

"How long did you live in England?" Linna asked Eugene.

"For a pretty long time," Eugene said.  "Almost ten years I think."

"Wow," Linna answered.  "Did you ever go back to Korea?"  Eugene nodded.

"Yep," Eugene answered with a smile.

"How long did you live in England?" Hashie asked Sea.  Sea thought for a while.

"Almost as long as Eugene," Sea said as she nodded.  "I remember that we met on the airplane right?"  Eugene nodded.

"What about you people?" Cindi asked the other people.  By now, Tony and the others had sat down.

"About twelve years," Eric answered.

"Same here," Tony answered.

"Same as my sister," Dong Wan said with a smile.

"Since I was born," Jun Jin answered.

"Really?" Fany asked.  Jun Jin nodded.

"What about you people?" Linna asked Min Woo and the others.  They haven't talk much since they walked in.

The three of them bitterly smiled at the same time.

"Since a long time ago," Jae Won answered for the three of them.

"Long time?  I would think that it's about the time that Jun Jin stayed here since you people look about the same age," Andy said.  They shook their heads in unison.

"No?" Gigi asked.

"They lived here way longer than I did," Jun Jin mumbled.

"Oh" Linna answered.  It was pretty obvious that the three boys didn't want to talk about it.

"How long did you know one another?" Kai asked.  "You never told us about them, Jun Jin."  Jun Jin smiled nervously.

"I didn't know how to introduce them," Jun Jin said.

"Just tell us that they were your friends," Ji Hye said with a smile.

"He probably doesn't know if you would like it that he brought friends over," Miya helped Jun Jin.  Jun Jin flashed her a grateful smile.  Miya smiled back and turned slightly red.

"So how did you meet one another?" Holly asked in curiosity.

"Well" Jun Jin said, hesitant on what to say.  "I met Kang Ta in this garden not too far off from the castle that they are living in right now."  He looked at the people.  Should he talk about the Tears of Angels?  He looked at Jae Won, Brian, and Min Woo.

"He was looking for this poison fruit called Tears of Angels," Brian answered for Jun Jin.

"Tears of Angels?" Ko Mi asked.  Brian nodded.

"You could be sure that I have never heard of that kind of fruit," Yae Ji said.

"Does it only grow in England?" Hee Jun asked.  Min Woo shook his head.

"It could grow in the coldest or the hottest climates," Min Woo answered.  "That means that it could grow anywhere.  It could go on for weeks without water."

"Wow," Lami commented.  "How come we never saw it in Korea or some places that we have gone to before?"

"It grows every five hundred years," Jae Won answered.

"Oh," Lami answered.

"Why was he looking for it though?" Hye Sung asked.

"We don't want people to be cursed by it again," Min Woo said with a smile.

"Why is it called Tears of Angels?" Julie asked.

"Tears of Angels" Brian said.  "It is a legend for thousand and thousands of years already.  It was said to be planted by the angels for people who were chosen."  He looked at everyone at the table.  He smiled.  "Are you people interested in a story about this fruit?"

"What kind of story?" Woo Hyuk asked.

"It's a story of four young menthat was handed down"  He looked at the group of people.  "About someone that was related to our friend"

Chapter 8

"Oksure" Sea said in interest.

"About one thousand five hundred years ago was when it started.  A young mana very beautiful young manHe was loved by all who knew him.  So many girls loved him.  He fell in love with his best friend's sister.  She was also charmed by him.  One daythis young man, with his best friend, was walking in the forest.  They lost their way on the way back.  They were hungry and thirsty for the supplies that they have brought ran out.  They came open this fruit in the shape of a teardrop," Brian said.

"The Tears of Angels," Sharon said.  Brian nodded.

"They both took one and ate it, not knowing the consequences to this," Brian said.  "They got back home.  There was a time when they went out to hunt.  The young man was accidentally shot by an arrow through the heart.  His best friend pulled the arrow out, attempting to help him although he knew that it was a deadly shot.  Miraculously, when the arrow was pulled out, the wound healed by itself, leaving only a scar.  This was amazing to both young men.  After a few times, they were convinced that it had something to do with the fruit that they had ate.  They went to the apothecary nearby and asked him about it.  He told them that it was the rare Tears of Angels.

"The Tears of Angels was said to be a special fruit that would make a person live forever until the end of the world.  It had the special power to help heal a person's wound.  One thing though.  It would leave a scar in the place that it had healed.

"The two young men were surprised at what, at that time to them, luck they had.  They took every day for granted.  The young man still loved his best friend's sister.  His expression of love for her was getting unclear for her, however.  There was then the opening of a store especially for entertaining men.  People spread rumors that there was an extremely beautiful girl in there.  However curious the young man was, he never went there.  By chance, a rumor spread out that he went there and fell in love with the girl.  The sister of the young man's best friend was devastated by this.  She asked the young man a few times but the young man never replied to her.  He told his best friend, not the girl, that if she loved him, she would believe him.  He told his best friend not to tell her about this though.  He wouldn't have thought at that time that it was a bad choice however.

"I'm sure that I had mentioned before that this young man was well loved.  The girl in that entertainment place also fell in love with the young man when she saw him when he walked pass the place.  Almost everyone knew that the young man and the best friend's sister was a pair.  This, of course, would have spread to the girl's ears.  She got jealous.

"She went to the girl and told her that she was pregnant with the young man's child.  She told the girl all the cruelest things in the world.  Saying that the young man was just cheating on her.  The girl didn't believe it at the beginning but after the rumors that were getting worse and worse each day, she slowly believed it.  In addition, the young man's failure to respond to her confrontation strengthened her belief of his betrayal.  The young man continued to treat her nicely while she attempted to treat him horribly so he would walk away by himself.  The more he treated her nicely, the more she started to hate him for lying to her and the continuation of his act to her.

"Finally, she couldn't stand it anymore and confronted him once more.  He, not doing anything, definitely denied it.  She was hurt deeply.  She knew about the fruit and everything.  The fury blinded her.  Yes, it blinded her.  She drugged him one day.  The young man's face was ruined from that day onShe burned his facewith a torcha scara scar that would never heal" Brian said as he looked at the people.  "From that day on, the young man and his best friend went to another place to avoid contact with other people."

"What happened to the girl?" Sharon asked.  Brian looked at her.

"She committed suicide," Brian said gently.

"You said that there were four boys.  You only talked about two so far," Julie said.

"I'll continue it for Brian," Min Woo said.  "The next one happened five hundred years later.  As you people remember, the fruit grows every five hundred years."  The people nodded.  "The fruit grew again.  In the same place that the young man and his best friend had ate it.  The two attempted to burn them every time they grew but there were of course some exceptions and failures.  That's when the third person ate it.

"He was being ran after by people.  They accused him of killing a person.  Yes, he did beat up that guy before.  On that same day.  He did do that.  He didn't mean to.  That guy tried to touch his woman.  Any normal guy would have beaten him up.  Two hours after the young man left the place, there were people marching over to his house claiming that the guy had died from being beaten up.

"He ran away from home.  The woman that he lovedshe betrayed himShe ran off with one of the guys who were trying to condemn him of killing the other guyHe ran into the forestFor two days and nights, he suffered from the lack of food and water.  He finally came upon the Tears of Angels.  He didn't care if there were poison or not.  The most important was that there was nourishment.  He ate the fruits.

"The people came.  They found him.  Along with them, the woman that he had loved with her new guy.  Her new guy was a rich person.  The people were all his people.  They wanted his life.  A person stabbed him.  Right through the heart.  There were a couple more stabs after that.  The people left, thinking that he died.  No.  He didn't.  He won't die anymore.  The young man and his best friend found him.  They then were companions to one another," Min Woo said.

"So that's how the third person ate the fruit.  So there are altogether four people who ate the fruit?  If it's altogether fourWhat happened to all of them?" Holly asked.

"They are still around," Min Woo answered with smile.

"But won't people know about them then?" Holly asked.

"That's why they would have to move around every once in a while," Brian replied.

"What about the fourth person?" Gigi asked.

"I'll tell you about him," Jae Won said.  The people focused on what he was going to say now.  He looked pass all of them as if they weren't there at all.  He looked as if he was staring into blank space.  "Five hundred years passed again.  It was a time of epidemic.  There was a killer disease going around the area that the fourth guy was living in.  Once infected by it, a person would be in pain for seven days.  While in pain, he would also suffer from watching his body slowly being eaten up by the germs."

"Ouch!  That must hurt," Gigi said.  Jae Won smiled bitterly.

"You could bet on that one," Jae Won said.  "His parents heard of a special fruit one day.  They said that this fruit is definitely the cure of the disease.  Many people have eaten it and have been cured.  They set out to look for it because they weren't rich enough to buy it.  It was said to be teardrop-shaped.  It just so happens that it looks exactly like the Tears of Angels.  They brought back the Tears of Angels instead of the fruit."

"Oh my God!  So the young man ate that instead of the fruit for his disease," Sea concluded as she listened attentively.  Jae Won nodded slowly.

"It was sad," Jae Won said with a sigh.  "Each year, he sees the people around him get older and older.  They never understood why he didn't get older.  He himself didn't understand why he got older.  He then realized that he would never get older anymore."

"What did he do?" Sharon asked.  Jae Won sighed again.

"What could he do?" Jae Won asked.  "He suffers.  Looking at the people die.  He just keeps living on and on and suffers on and on.  He can't do anything to himself.  He can't commit suicide even when he attempts to."  Gigi shook her head.

"I rather die then see everyone around me die," Gigi said.  Jae Won nodded slowly.

"That's what he was thinking at that time as well," Jae Won said.  "He prayed every night that it was just a nightmare.  Something that would be gone once he awakes."  He shook his head.  "It never happened.  He woke up every morning to a new day.  A routine that would never end."

"So what happened to him at the end?" Lami asked.  Jae Won looked at the other two boys.

"He found his companions," Jae Won said with a smile.  "His three companions.  The three boys that had suffered earlier.  He was the youngest one."  The other people other than the three boys then sighed.

"That's so sad," Holly said.  She then looked at them.  "Is this true though?"  Brian smiled slightly.

"Do you think that it's true?" Brian asked.  Linna immediately shook her head.

"How could someone live forever?" Linna asked.  "Biologically, that would never happen."  Min Woo smiled and shook his head lightly.

"You never know for sure," Min Woo said.  He then looked ahead of him the way that Jae Won had a few minutes ago.  "The world is too big for anyone to be sure about anything."  Gigi then suddenly giggled.

"You people make it sound as if you were the boys you described in the story," Gigi commented.  Jae Won smiled again.

"You would have never guessed that we were even if we really were," Jae Won said softly.  Gigi shook her head.

"If you lived for so many years, you wouldn't be able to stand like this right now," Gigi said.  Jae Won shook his head.

"I told you that the fruit makes people unable to get old," Jae Won said.  Linna shook her head again.

"I told you that we wouldn't believe it unless we saw it," Linna said.  "It can't be true in any ways.  It's toomythical."  Min Woo looked at her.

"There are so many things that are mythicalbut how many of them are not true?" Min Woo asked.  Linna thought for a while and then looked at Min Woo.

"I'll believe it," Linna said, "if you show me the flower."

Chapter 9

Brian shook his head.

"They're already burned," Brian said.  Linna looked at him weirdly.

"How would you know about that?" Linna asked.  Brian chuckled.

"Of course we know," Brian said.  He then looked at them closely.  "It was five hundred years ago that the last person ate the fruit.  Another thing is, they burn the fruit really early in the year."  Linna then nodded slowly.

"Hey!  Are they like vampires?" Hashie asked.  Brian shook his head.

"Not at all," Brian answered.  "They don't drink blood."

"Oh," Hashie answered.  "Aww"  The girls who know him shook their heads.  Sea looked at him.

"What's the matter?" Sea asked.  Hashie sighed.  Sea looked at him questioningly.  He then looked at her.

"If there were vampires," Hashie started.  He then looked off in another place.

"If there were vampires" Sea repeated.  Hashie then looked at Hee Jun.

"They could suck his blood," Hashie said.  Hee Jun's eyes widened.

"No!  They would suck your blood first because you wouldn't run away from them!" Hee Jun said.  Ji Hye shook her head as she looked at the rest of the people.

"Don't mind them.  They were like that for the last few days also," Ji Hye said.  Jae Won and the rest just smiled without answering.  Suddenly, Dong Wan came over with drinks.

"Hey people!  Here come the drinks!" Dong Wan said with a smile as he handed each person their drink.  Suddenly, a cup of coffee spilled on Min Woo.  He looked at it in shock.  "Oh my God!  I'm so sorry!"

"Oh my God!" Linna exclaimed as she ran over.  "Are you ok?"  Min Woo looked at her first and then the rest of the boys.  They signaled him to go to the bathroom.

"Let us just accompany him to the bathroom," Brian said as he moved Linna aside gently to prevent her from seeing Min Woo's wound.

"We got to see what's wrong!" Linna said.  "We know first aid so let us see how bad the burn is."  Min Woo smiled at her.

"It's ok," Min Woo said as he stood up and ran to the bathroom.  Jae Won, Jun Jin, and Brian ran after him.

***********************************************

"Is it just me or the two of them is kind of weird?" Tony asked as he walked out from behind the bar.

"No," Miya answered for the rest of the people.  "It's just you.  You're the weird one around here."  Tony glared at her.

"Shut up, Miya," Tony said.  Miya stuck her tongue out at Tony.

"But actually, if you think about it, they are kind of weird.  And also Jun Jin, when he's around them," Eric commented.

"It seems as if he had something to say but he doesn't want to say it," Ji Hye said.  The rest of the people nodded.

"Maybe because he's not too sure about what he could say and what he can't," Miya suggested.

"Awwcome on, Miya.  Stop talking for him.  We all know that you like Jun Jin," Tony said.  Miya slapped him as she turned slightly red.

"Shut up already.  Nobody would say that you're mute if you don't speak," Miya said.  Tony grinned evilly.

"We all know what you're thinking, Miya," Tony said.  "You don't have to deny it, sis.  You like Jun Jinnie."  Miya glared at him.

"It's none of your business so shut up!" Miya said.  The rest of the people looked at Tony.

"See?  That's called denying people," Tony said.  Miya then ran out of the room.

"Tonythat was a little bit too far," Eric said.  Tony then looked after Miya.  Tony then looked at the rest of the people.

"I was just kidding with her.  I never thought that she would take it so seriously," Tony said.

***********************************************

"Are you ok, Min Woo?" Brian asked.

"Yeah," Min Woo said.  "It's just a little burn.  It'll heal in a few minutes

"But there would be a scar," Jun Jin said.  Min Woo shrugged.

"We were doomed to be like that," Min Woo said with a smile.  "Can't help it.  It's fate, right?"  Jun Jin frowned.

"I don't like it to be like that," Jun Jin said.  "I just found out about a special kind of herb around the castle.  I'll go look for it."

"Jun JinIt's ok," Min Woo said.  Jun Jin shook his head.

"Youre my friend.  I have to help you to the most, right?" Jun Jin said.  Min Woo looked at him.  "I'll be right back."  He then ran out of the bathroom, careful that he locked the door behind him.

***********************************************

"Babo oppa," Miya said as she pulled apart the grass in her hand.  "So what about who I like?  Like I don't know that you like Cindi, right?  Should have told the whole world about it."  Suddenly, Jun Jin walked out of the hotel.

"Miya?  What are you doing here?" Jun Jin asked.  Miya saw him and turned away.  Jun Jin looked at her questioningly.  "What's the matter, Miya?"

"It's none of your business.  Leave me alone," Miya mumbled.

"Come on, Miya.  Tell me what happened," Jun Jin said.  "I don't like seeing you so upset."  Miya glanced at him.

"I don't want people to laugh at me that I like you," Miya said.  Jun Jin looked at her surprised.

"Why?" Jun Jin asked.

"Because," Miya said, "Tony likes laughing about me."  Jun Jin looked at her.

"Am I that bad though?" Jun Jin asked.  Miya shook her head.

"It's just because ok?" Miya said.  Jun Jin sighed.  Miya looked at him.  "What's the matter?"

"Nothing," Jun Jin mumbled.  Miya frowned.

"Now you're telling me nothing when you just sighed?" Miya asked unhappily.  Jun Jin looked at her.

"That's what you did to me also," Jun Jin said.  Miya then didn't know what to say.

"Dork," Miya mumbled as she turned away from Jun Jin.

"MiyaDo you like me?" Jun Jin asked carefully.  Miya blushed again.

"Why are you asking, Jinnie oppa?" Miya asked.  Jun Jin shrugged.

"I guess because I like you also," Jun Jin said.  Miya's eyes widened.  Jun Jin looked at her and then blushed.

"Never mind," Jun Jin said as he kept on walking with Miya looking after him.

***********************************************

"Kang Ta?" Jun Jin called out in surprise.  What was he doing here?  Kang Ta looked up at him and smiled.

"You like that girl, don't you?" Kang Ta asked.  Jun Jin blushed slightly before nodding.

"But she probably doesn't like me and her brother is my boss," Jun Jin said with a bitter smile.  Kang Ta got up from where he was standing.

"When you like someone," Kang Ta said as he walked up to Jun Jin, "you got to tell them the truth.  Or else one day, it would be too late."  Jun Jin looked at him.  Suddenly, he understood.

"Are you thinking about Celine, Kang Ta?" Jun Jin asked.  Kang Ta looked up to the moon and sighed.  "It's been so many years, Kang Ta"

"I know," Kang Ta said.  He then looked away.  "She's the only girl that had ever entered my heart and she would be the last one."

"Kang Ta," Jun Jin asked, "are you thinking of Celine when you look at Sharon?  Is that why you liked her so much since the first time you seen her?"  Kang Ta froze for a second.  Suddenly, he shook his head.

"I don't know, Jun Jin," Kang Ta answered.  "I don't know why I like herAs for so muchI don't know how much I like her."  Jun Jin sighed.

"As much as you like Celine?" Jun Jin asked.

***********************************************

"Miya unnie," Sharon called out.  She walked up to Miya who was staring in front of her outside.  "Miya?"  Miya still didn't answer.  Sharon then waved her hand in front of Miya.  Miya finally looked at her.

"What's the matter, Sharon?" Miya asked.  Sharon looked at her.

"You seem to be spaced out.  Tell me what's the matter," Sharon said with a smile.  Miya sighed.

"I don't know," Miya answered as she stared back to where she was staring before.  Sharon raised her eyebrow.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Sharon asked.

"Jinnie oppahe said that he liked me," Miya said.  Sharon's eyes widened.

"Congratulations Miya unnie!" Sharon said.

"The problem is that I didn't have any reactions when he told me," Miya said with a sigh.  Sharon then paused for a second.

"Why not?" Sharon asked.

"I didn't know what to say," Miya said.  Sharon then stood up and pulled Miya up.  Miya looked at her questioningly.

"We're going to look for Jun Jin oppa.  If he likes you, it would be great because you like him also right?" Sharon asked.  Miya slowly nodded.

"But it would be weird, wouldn't it?" Miya asked.  Sharon then thought for a while.

"But you told me that you have to go get what you want right?" Sharon asked.  "HmHow weird that you said that you would do this to me when I meet someone I like."  Sharon said with a smile.

"Hey!  I never thought that this would happen to me one day," Miya said.  "At least I didn't thought that this would come true."

***********************************************

"Hey!  There's Jinnie oppa," Sharon said.  Miya nodded.  She then frowned.

"But who's that?" Miya asked, pointing to the person standing not too far from Jun Jin.  Sharon looked over as her eyes widened.

"That looks like"

***********************************************

Chapter 10

"Looks like who?" Miya asked.  Sharon shook her head.

"Nothing," Sharon answered.  Kang TaIt's himShe recognized him

"Are we going to up now?" Miya asked.  Sharon hesitated for a while.  It's a pretty perfect chance to see how Kang Ta looks like

"I don't know," Sharon answered.  Miya shrugged.  Suddenly, the wind blew a little harder than usual.  The cloak that was covering half of Kang Ta's face lifted just enough for Sharon to see clearly how he looked like.  Her eyes widened.

"What's the matter, Sharon?" Miya asked.  She shook Sharon a little.  Sharon came back from the shock that she was in.  She shook her head again.

"Nothing," Sharon answered as she blushed slightly.  Kang Taso she was righthe was the guy in the picture that hung in the study room

***********************************************

Jun Jin suddenly heard some voices.  He looked over and saw the two girls standing under the tree not too far.

"Miya?  Sharon?" Jun Jin asked.  Kang Ta smiled.

"She's here.  I guess I shouldn't bother you anymore," Kang Ta said.  He then turned to leave.  He then looked back at the two girls.  Sharon was still looking at him.  "Sharon"

"Yes?" Sharon asked.

"You want to come with me to the castle?  I have something that I want to give you," Kang Ta said.  Sharon stopped for a while.  She then nodded.

"Ok," Sharon answered.  Perfect chance for Jun Jin and Miya to talk.

***********************************************

"Umsowhat do you want to talk about Miya?" Jun Jin asked.  Miya blushed again.

"I'm just wonderingabout what you said at the front of the hotel," Miya said.  Jun Jin blushed as well.  "Are you for real?"  Jun Jin nodded.

"I do like you," Jun Jin said.  Miya then smiled.

"Ok.  I believe you," Miya said.  "But what kind of like do you mean?"  Jun Jin's eyes widened.  She expects him to say it?Oh well

"I like youasagirlfriend" Jun Jin stuttered.  Miya laughed.

"Silly Jinnie oppa," Miya said as she walked up to him.  "You sure about it?"  Jun Jin nodded.  Miya then smiled.

"Miyado you like me also?" Jun Jin asked.  Miya then nodded.  Jun Jin looked at her for a while.  Finally, he lowered his head slowly

"Of course I like you also, Jun Jin oppa," Miya said softly.  Jun Jin then softly kissed her on her lips.

***********************************************

"Why are you walking so far behind me?" Kang Ta asked when they were halfway near the old castle.

"What?" Sharon asked as she snapped out of her thinking.  Kang Ta laughed slightly.

"Why are you walking so far behind me?" Kang Ta repeated.  Sharon turned a little red before walking a little faster to walk next to him.

"I thought that you don't want people to see how you look like," Sharon said.  Kang Ta sighed.

"I don't really mind people seeing how I look like.  I'm just afraid that people get scared by me," Kang Ta said softly.

Scared?  Sharon thought.  She was about to laugh right there.  Kang Ta looked at her.

"I'm not kidding," Kang Ta said.

"Oh," Sharon said.  Kang Ta smiled and touched her hair softly.

"You're not talking what your heart is thinking," Kang Ta said.  Sharon smiled.

"I'm just thinking that you look pretty good," Sharon said as she turned even redder.  Kang Ta paused for a while.

"You saw how I look like?" Kang Ta asked.  Sharon struggled a little in her heart before nodding.

"When the wind blew a little harder, the cloak rose and I saw a little of how you look like," Sharon said.  Kang Ta then nodded.

"You're honest," Kang Ta said.  Sharon laughed somewhat nervously.

***********************************************

When they got to the castle, Kang Ta led Sharon to the room that was forbidden to be entered by people not given permission.

"That's the painting of you, no?" Sharon asked the question that was long in her heart.  Kang Ta thought for a while.

"I guess," Kang Ta answered.

"You guess?" Sharon asked.  Kang Ta nodded.

"Everything changes after years," Kang Ta answered.  Sharon had no idea of what he meant but she nodded.  Kang Ta then walked to the shelf and pulled out a box.  He walked up to Sharon and handed her the box.

"What is it?" Sharon asked as she looked at him although she couldn't see his face in the dark.

"Open it and you'll see," Kang Ta said.  Sharon then slowly took the box out of his hand and opened it.  She looked back at Kang Ta.

"This is really pretty," Sharon said with a smile.  "It belongs to someone that you love a lot, doesn't it?"  Kang Ta didn't answer her.

"I want you to have it," Kang Ta said.  Sharon's eyes widened.

"It's too expensive," Sharon said.  Kang Ta shook his head.

"It belongs to you," Kang Ta said.

"I don't understand," Sharon said.

"You might understand one day," Kang Ta said.  "Just not now.  Just listen to me and take it, ok?"  Sharon then looked at him for a while.  Finally, she nodded.

***********************************************

After Kang Ta took Sharon back to the hotel, he returned to the castle.

"It belonged to her," Kang Ta said softly under his breath.  "It should return to her.  Either now or later on, it would return to her."

He then got up from his chair and walked to the same shelf that he had took the box out earlier and pulled out another box.

He opened the box and looked at the ring inside.

"You were suppose to be a pair with the other one, wasn't you?" Kang Ta asked.  He then smiled.  "Do you think that the owner of the other one would put it on?"

He then took the ring out and put the box back to where it was before.

"Or are you the only one that would be put back on?" Kang Ta asked.  He then took the ring out carefully and placed it on his left hand.

***********************************************

Sharon stared at the ring for over a few hours.  Someone knocked on the door.

"Sharon?  Are you in there?" Lami asked from outside the door.

"No," Sharon answered.  Lami opened the door, walked in, and stuck her tongue out at Sharon.

"And you answered," Lami said.  Sharon smiled as she continued to look at the ring.  Lami walked up to her and looked at the ring.  "Why are you looking at the ring?"  Sharon shook her head.

"I don't know," Sharon answered.  She finally looked at Lami.  "I want to ask you a question."

"Go ahead," Lami said with a smile.  Sharon held the ring up to Lami.

"Have you ever saw this ring?  Or have you ever heard me say that I like a ring like this before?" Sharon asked.  Lami slowly shook her head.

"No.  I don't think that you ever told me that you liked any jewelry at all," Lami said.  She looked at Sharon weirdly.  "Why?"  Sharon shrugged.

"I don't know," Sharon answered.  "I just feel as if I have saw this ring before."

"Maybe in your dream?" Lami said.  Sharon rolled her eyes.

"Why would I dream about rings?" Sharon asked.  Lami shrugged.

"Hey!  Maybe you saw it in your last generation?" Lami suggested.  Sharon sighed.

"Maybe.  But why does this ring look so familiar?" Sharon said to herself.  Lami smiled all of a sudden.

"I think that I should tell Hyukkie oppa that his dongseng wants to get married soon," Lami said.  Sharon looked at her weirdly this time.  Lami looked at her.  "That's an wedding ring.  You know that right?"  Sharon's eyes widened.  She then looked back at the ring.

"Oh yeah" Sharon said as her face turned red..  Lami started to laugh.

"Sharon wants to get married!  Sharon wants to get married!" Lami said in a singsong voice.  Sharon slapped her playfully on her arm.

"I think that you want to get married to Hye Sung first," Sharon said.  Lami turned red.

"What are you talking about?  I never said that," Lami said.  Sharon smiled.  Lami then looked at the ring again.  "Have you tried it to see if you could wear it?"  Sharon shook her head.  Lami then smiled.  "Try it!"  Sharon looked at her and then the ring.

"Which finger?" Sharon asked.  Lami thought for a while.

"Since it's a wedding ring, why don't you try it on your ring finger?" Lami suggested.  Sharon looked uneasily at the ring.

"HeheIt would be freaky if it fits perfectly," Sharon said.  She then slipped the ring on.  Lami's eyes widened.

***********************************************

"UmSharonDon't tell me that you found it on the floor, ok?" Lami said.  Sharon shook her head as she stared at the ring.  "Okdid you buy it?  Because why does it fit perfectly on you?"

"I have no idea," Sharon whispered as she stared at the ring on her hand.  How did Kang Ta know her finger size so perfectly

***********************************************

"Good morning, Brian, Min Woo, and Jae Won," Sharon greeted with a smile as she sat at the table that the people were having breakfast.  Tony and Eric had insisted that Jae Won, Brian, and Min Woo stayed at the hotel since it was too late when they were heading home.

"Good morning," the three boys greeted with a smile.  Brian suddenly noticed the ring on Sharon's hand.

"Where did you get that?" Brian asked as the smile disappeared from his face.  Sharon looked at the ring on her hand as her face turned slightly red.  She took the ring off and placed it on the other hand.

"UmKang Ta gave it to me last night," Sharon said nervously.

"What are you talking about?" Woo Hyuk asked as he walked up to the table.  He then looked at what Brian was looking at.  He raised his eyebrow.  "If that was on your other hand, I would make you tell me who was the person who gave you that ring."  Sharon blushed even harder.

"Why did he gave you that?" Brian asked calmly.  Sharon sat down and shrugged.

"I don't know," Sharon said.  "I just saw him in the forest yesterday, talking with Jun Jin, and then he told me to go with him because he has something to give me."  Brian then nodded.  He suddenly placed down his fork and knife.

"I forgot something back at the castle.  I'll be back soon, ok?" Brian said.  The people at the hotel had asked the three boys to join them for some activities while the people were there.  The people nodded.

***********************************************

"Kang Ta!" Brian called out.  He ran up the stairs and to the study that Kang Ta usually stayed in.  He found a note on his desk.

"To: Min Woo, Jae Won, and Brian

I'll be back in a few days.

       Kang Ta

"Where did he go!?" Brian said to himself as he looked around the room.

***********************************************

Sharon looked out the window from her room.  She then looked at the ring that was back to the other hand.  So weird that it fitted so comfortably on this hand yet when she placed it on the other hand, it was so awkward.

"How in the world did Kang Ta know about my ring size?" Sharon thought to herself out loud.  "Or should I say, who had the same ring size as I?"  She continued to look out the window.  She then noticed someone walking back to the hotel.  It was Brian.

***********************************************

"Where's Sharon?" Brian asked as he walked into the hotel.

"What's the matter?" Tony asked.  "I would imagine that Miya did some horrible things to you but what did Sharon do?"  Brian shook his head.

"Nothing.  I just need to talk with her," Brian said.

"She's in her room," Eric said.  Brian then nodded and went into the elevator.

***********************************************

A few minutes later, Sharon heard a knocking on her door.  She walked over to the door and opened the door.

"Brian oppa?" Sharon asked.  "What are you doing here?"  Brian looked at the ring on her hand.

"Don't get too close to Kang Ta," Brian said.  Sharon looked at him in surprise.

"Why not?" Sharon asked.  Brian shook his head.

"I don't know how to explain to you.  Just don't get too close to him. He's not the right guy for you," Brian said.  Sharon shook her head.

"I don't understand.  Why not?  He's such a nice guy," Sharon said.  Brian studied her for a while.

"You like him don't you?  Not just as a friend," Brian concluded.  Sharon hesitated for a while.  Finally, she nodded.

"I like him.  I like him a lot," Sharon confessed.  "I liked him before I saw how he looked like."  Brian looked at her.

"It's going to do you no good liking him," Brian said.

"I don't understand.  He's your friend," Sharon said.

"That's why I don't want him to do anything that he's going to regret later on," Brian said.  Sharon looked at him.

"So you're saying that I'm not good enough for him?" Sharon asked, a little hurt.  She then nodded.  "Yeah.  Maybe I'm not good enough for him.  That doesn't mean that I don't have the right to like him, right?"  Brian shook his head.

"I'm not saying that," Brian said.  He then sighed.  "I don't even know how to start."  Sharon stared at him.

"What are you trying to get at Brian oppa?  If you can't explain to me, I'm sorry, but I can't believe you," Sharon said.  Brian looked at her.  He then sighed.

"I guess it's time to tell you a little about what happened," Brian said.  He then looked up at Sharon.  "It started out

Chapter 11

"My sister looks exactly like you," Brian said.  Sharon's eyes widened.

"Is that why you always treat me like your sister?  Because I look exactly like her?" Sharon asked with curiosity.  Brian nodded.

"Sheuse to be Kang Ta's girlfriend," Brian said.  Sharon sat there for a while.

"So you're trying to tell me that he's using me as a replacement for your sister," Sharon said.  Brian shook his head.

"He's not," Brian said.  He then looked at Sharon.  "My sister betrayed him.  She was the person who ruined his face."  Sharon looked at him in surprise.

"What do you mean?" Sharon asked.

"One side of Kang Ta's face is burnt," Brian said.  "My sister did that because she thought that Kang Ta was going out with another girl."  Sharon looked at Brian for a while.

"It sounds like the story that you were telling us last night," Sharon said.  She then laughed.  "Brian oppastop trying to make me believe that you're over a thousand years old, ok?"  Brian shook his head again.

"That's not what I'm trying to get at, Sharon," Brian said.  "He probably thinks that you're Celinemy sister, and trying to get revenge on you, thinking that you're her."

"I think that he's pretty clear about who's who, Brian oppa," Sharon said.  "He knows that my name is Sharon."

"How would you believe me?" Brian asked.  Sharon thought for a while.

"Unless you could show me the other side of Kang Ta's face," Sharon said.  "I already saw one side already.  He's not burnt on that side."

"The left side," Brian said.  Sharon thought for a while.

"Yeah," Sharon said.  "So you have to show me the right side that it's burnt and I'll believe what you're telling me."

"It's a hard job," Brian admitted, "but I'll prove it to you."

***********************************************

"Did you become crazy overnight, Brian?" Jae Won almost yelled when he heard about what happened.  Brian looked at him.

"You don't understand.  I'm afraid that Kang Ta might hurt her in some ways," Brian said.

"The point is that we're not even sure about Kang Ta's feelings toward Celine.  How could you just tell her like that?" Min Woo asked.  Brian sighed.

"I didn't know what else to do that time," Brian said.

"Brian, she's not Celine," Jae Won said.

"I knowbut she's too similar to her," Brian said.  Min Woo and Jae Won shook their heads.

"If Kang Ta knows about this" Jae Won began.

"Don't tell him," Brian said.

"Brian, this has to do with him also," Min Woo said.  "Both of you are my friends.  What do you think I should do?"

"What would you do if it was you?" Jae Won asked.  Brian shook his head.

"I don't know," Brian said.  "I just know that she's too similar to my sister.  Idon't want to lose my sister again."

***********************************************

Suddenly, someone knocked at the door.  Brian walked over and opened the door.  It was Holly.  Holly turned slightly red when she saw it was Brian.  'Great.  It had to be him, right?'

"Hi," Brian said with a smile.  "Is it time to leave?"  Holly nodded without saying anything.  "We'll be down in a few minutes."

"Ok," Holly finally managed to say.  Brian then smiled at her again.  Holly turned around and walked quickly to the elevator.  Brian smiled watching her.  He finally closed the door when she had disappeared into the elevator and he leaned on the door.  He looked up at Min Woo and Jae Won who were looking at him.

"They're ready to go out," Brian said.

"Ok," Min Woo answered while Jae Won nodded.  Min Woo looked at Brian again.  "You better think it over before you do anything like that.  You know that Kang Ta would never forgive you if you do something like that."

***********************************************

"Hey Min Woo!  Why do you look as if you're upset?" Linna asked as she walked over to him.  They were having a picnic in a nearby park.  Min Woo looked up and smiled.

"Not really.  Why do you think that I'm upset?" Min Woo asked.  Linna shrugged as she sat down beside him.

"It just seems as if you are," Linna said.  Min Woo laughed a little.

"If I am upset, it's definitely not about you people," Min Woo said softly.  Linna looked at him.

"From that, I could see that you're really upset about something.  Care to tell me what it's about?" Linna asked.  Min Woo sighed.

"One of my friends is planning awellplan to reveal a secret of my other friend's.  I don't know who to help.  The first one thinks that he's helping the girl if he reveals the secret but the second friend would never forgive him," Min Woo said.  Linna nodded as she listened to him.

"It's a hard choice," Linna said.  "Especially when there would be different consequences to what you choose.  Have you ever tried to talk your first friend out of the plan?"  Min Woo nodded.

"I did," Min Woo said.  "But he wouldn't listen."  Linna sighed.

"I think that I'll help whoever I feel is right," Linna said.  "Do you have someone who you think is right?"  Min Woo thought for a while.

"I think that my second friend is right.  But my first friend has his own reasons as well.  What if I helped the second friend yet at the end I find out that my first friend is right?" Min Woo said.

"Well," Linna said slowly as she thought.  "I guess it's not possible to leave the whole thing up to the two of them, right?"  Min Woo nodded.  He then smiled.

"Thanks anyways.  I'll figure it out," Min Woo said as he got up.  He then helped Linna up.  "At least you tried to help.  Thanks."  Linna smiled.  She then remembered something.

"Did the burn heal yet?" Linna asked.

"What burn?" Min Woo asked.  He then remembered.  "Oh yeah!  Yeah, it healed.  Don't worry about it."

"Wow!  That's pretty quick recovery," Linna said.  Min Woo smiled.

***********************************************

"Kang Ta didn't return yet?" Jae Won asked Brian.  Brian shook his head.

"He's been gone for a few days already.  I went back to look for him yesterday but he's still not back," Brian said.  Jae Won shook his head.

"It's the first time that he's like that," Jae Won said.  He looked at Brian.  "Where do you think he has gone?"

"I have no idea.  He just left that note there and nothing else," Brian said.  Jae Won sighed.

"I wonder if he sensed about what you want to do to him," Jae Won said.

"It can't be.  I thought about it after I went back.  I was going to talk to Kang Ta about it before I warned Sharon.  Since I didn't find Kang Ta, Ijust took the second choice first," Brian said.

"Do you think that Jun Jin would know where he went?" Jae Won asked.  Brian shook his head.

"If none of us know, I don't think that Jun Jin would know," Brian said.

"True," Jae Won agreed.  "I wonder if he's ok."

"I think that he is.  Or else he wouldn't leave that note there," Brian said.

***********************************************

"How many more days?"

"About two more days and it should completely be done."

"That's pretty quick."

"I told you.  I did many tests on it."

"Thanks."

"No need of it.  As long as I could help."

***********************************************

"I don't know if I should askbut how are you doing to accomplish the task?" Sharon asked Brian.  Brian shrugged.

"We'll see when the time comes.  Kang Ta's not even in the castle right now," Brian said.

"He's not there?" Sharon asked.  Brian looked at her.

"You're worried about him," Brian concluded.  Sharon blushed a little.

"Wellall of you are my friends so I guess I should" Sharon stuttered.  She then glanced at Brian.  "And I like him also.  Like you said."  Brian sighed.

"I just wish that he likes you the same way also," Brian said.  He then smiled.  "Maybe the outcome would be positive."  Sharon smiled.

"I'm pretty sure that it would be.  I never thought of him as a bad person.  And he's not, right?" Sharon asked.  Brian nodded.

"He's not a bad person," Brian said.  "He's definitely not.  In fact, he's one of the nicest person that I have met before."  Sharon smiled again.

***********************************************

Brian looked up at the old castle.  He came back again.  He wondered if Kang Ta was back.  It had been over a week since Kang Ta had left without leaving anything but that note.

He opened the gate and walked through the garden in front of the castle.  He opened the door slowly.  He looked at the inside of the castle.  A place that he had spent for so many years.  A place that he had left for over a week.

He walked up the stairs to the study that Kang Ta usually stayed in.  He knocked softly on the door and opened it.

"Kang Ta?" Brian said in surprise.  "You're back."  Kang Ta's figure in the dark nodded.

"How was everyone?" Kang Ta said with a smile that was not visible in the dark.

"Everyone's ok.  We were all worried about you though," Brian said.  "You just left with a note there and nothing else."  Kang Ta laughed.

"Well none of you were here so I just left a note," Kang Ta said.

"We're sorry," Brian said.

"Nothing to be sorry about," Kang Ta said as he looked at Brian.  "Did you have fun with the people at the hotel."

"It wasn't bad," Brian said.

"You have something to tell me," Kang Ta said.  Brian hesitated before saying anything.

"Are you doing everything because you feel that Sharon's Celine?" Brian asked.  Kang Ta didn't speak for a few minutes.

"What made you think that way?" Kang Ta asked.

"You gave her the ring," Brian said.

"Does that mean that I'm thinking that Sharon is Celine?" Kang Ta asked.  Brian shook his head slowly.

"But we all know that Celine was the only girl you ever loved" Brian said slowly.  "Sorry, Kang Ta."

"Doesn't matter," Kang Ta said with a little tilt of his head.  "That's what everyone knows.  But that doesn't have to be true."  Brian looked at him.

"What do you mean?" Brian asked.

"It's not really important, what I mean," Kang Ta said.  He then stood up and went in front of the window to look outside.  "Min Woo and Jae Won are outside."

"I guess I should go then," Brian said.  Kang Ta smiled as he turned to look at Brian.

"I guess you shouldn't.  Because the rest of the people from the hotel are also here," Kang Ta said.  Brian looked at Kang Ta.  It's a perfect chancebut should he do this?

***********************************************

"Jae Won" Brian said as he walked down the stairs.  Jae Won ran up to him.

"They wanted to come," Jae Won whispered in Brian's ears.  "I think that you should warn Kang Ta first."  Brian nodded.  He then turned and prepared to walk upstairs when someone talked.

"These are all your friends aren't they Jun Jin?"

***********************************************

Chapter 12

"Kang Ta?" Min Woo and Jae Won said as their mouth dropped open.  Brian was just so shocked that he didn't know what to say.

Kang Ta was standing on top of the stairs.  His face was still more than half covered.

"I hope that I didn't frighten your friends with my appearance like this," Kang Ta said.

"No.  I don't think that we got frightened," Tony said as the rest of the people nodded.

"I'm just afraid that my real face would scare people therefore, I hide it," Kang Ta explained.  Sharon looked at him in silence.  Kang Ta glanced at Sharon.  "I guess Sharon talked to you people about me before?"

"Not that much though," Woo Hyuk said.  Kang Ta nodded.

"Feel free to look around," Kang Ta said.

"Umwhat about that room that we weren't allowed to enter last time?" Cindi asked.

"You could go in now," Kang Ta said.  He then walked down the stairs.  On his way he looked at the three boys.  "I have something to tell you."  The three boys then followed him to the garden.

***********************************************

"You must be wondering why I was willing to see people today," Kang Ta said.  The three boys that were standing behind him nodded.

"Yes.  We are," Brian admitted.  "It's been so many years since you have walked out of the castle.  What changed you?"

"I don't know," Kang Ta answered.

"Is it because of Sharon?  Or is it Celine?" Brian asked.  Kang Ta sighed.

"That's a hard question," Kang Ta answered with a short laugh.

"Or should we ask about the reason that made you walk out?  Not what changed you," Jae Won said.

"I guess I should say that I have to face myself one day don't I?  I can't stay in the room and be like that forever right?  What's the use?" Kang Ta said.  Brian shook his head.

"But why did it occur right after Sharon?" Brian asked.

"Did it occur right after Sharon?" Kang Ta asked.  "Your memory about this is pretty good, Brian."  Brian looked at Kang Ta.

"I admit that I'm treating Sharon like my sister.  The reason being that she's too much like Celine.  I'm not sure if that's the same reason that you're doing all of this.  If it is, I'm sure that you don't love, or even like her at all," Brian said.

"Really?" Kang Ta asked.  He then turned sideways.  "Would that mean that if I get any closer to Sharon, our friendship would be broken?"  Brian looked at him in shock for a few minutes.

"Kang TaYou know how much I loved my younger sister.  She was the only family member that I had left," Brian said.  "Icouldn't forgive her for what she did to you.  But if Sharon is her reincarnation, she'sdifferent."

"I just ask you if our friendship is broken or not," Kang Ta asked.

"I'm afraidthat I would have to say yes," Brian answered.  Kang Ta let out a cold and short laugh.

"I can't believe that this would come out of one of my best friends," Kang Ta said.  He then turned and walked back into the castle.

***********************************************

"Brian" Min Woo said as he placed his hand on Brian's shoulder.  Brian was standing like that for over five minutes.

"He's trying to get revenge," Brian concluded.  He then looked at Min Woo with a frown.  "Doesn't he know that Sharon's not Celine?  Even if she is her reincarnation, she's not her anymore.  She doesn't remember anything."  Min Woo sighed.

"We're not sure about that yet," Min Woo said.

"I'm positive about it.  Or else why would Kang Ta be asking about our friendship?" Brian asked.  He then started to walk toward the castle.

"Where are you going, Brian?" Jae Won asked.

"I'm going to warn Sharon again," Brian said.

"Are you going to sacrifice your friendship with Kang Ta for just a girl?" Jae Won asked.  Brian turned and looked at Jae Won.

"She's possibly my sister.  And another thing is, if she's not, why are we looking at Kang Ta take revenge on an absolutely innocent girl?" Brian asked.  Jae Won looked at the ground.

"I don't know what to do and who to help anymore," Jae Won admitted.  He looked up at Brian again.  "I don't think that I could choose any sides in this."  Min Woo shook his head.

"Me neither," Min Woo said.  Brian looked at them for a few seconds when he finally nodded.

"I understand," Brian said.  "Don't worry about it.  I won't make you people choose sides."

***********************************************

"Hey!  How come you didn't come to the thing a few days ago?" Eric asked Kang Ta.

"I didn't really have time.  I had some important things to finish off," Kang Ta answered.

"Oh," Eric replied.  "I hoped that everything went well."

"It did," Kang Ta said.  He then looked at the rest of the people.  "I hope that everything here is alright for all of you."

"Of course!  It's so nice here," Fany said.  "I can't really believe that this place is really as old as they told me."  Kang Ta smiled lightly.

"I guess it's because Kang Ta and the other people take good care of this place," Andy said with a smile.

"It's mostly Brian, Min Woo, and Jae Won," Kang Ta answered.  "For a while, I was under a depression.  They did most of the work in here."

"Depression?  Why were you under depression?" Hye Sung asked.

"It's just some problems with my fianc," Kang Ta said.

"You have a fianc?" Woo Hyuk asked as he glanced at Sharon.  Anyone could see that Sharon had a different feeling for Kang Ta.

"Use to," Kang Ta answered.  "There was some problems and she left me."  Woo Hyuk nodded and he became more relaxed.  He didn't want Sharon to fall in love with a person that is about to be someone else's.

"Why did she leave you?" Hee Jun asked.  Kang Ta sighed.

"She thought I had someone else," Kang Ta said.

"Didn't you explain to her?" Fany asked.

"I feel that if she loves me enough, she would believe me," Kang Ta said.  "I wouldn't have to explain and she would know if it's true or not."

"Oh," Fany said.  "Then whydo you wear that cloakI'm sorry if I'm prying."

"No," Kang Ta said.  "It's ok.  It's just that I'm afraid to scare people with my face, like I said before."

"But I wouldn't think that you would scare people if you had a fianc," Lami said.

"You could never be sure of that," Kang Ta said.

"Didn't they say that people of the same hang out together?  Well all of your friends are so nice and doesn't scare people so I don't think that you would scare people," Ko Mi said.  Kang Ta didn't reply.

"Maybe Kang Ta has his own reasons," Min Woo cut in.  He and Jae Won had gone into the castle by this time.  They wanted to look for Brian but he was nowhere in sight.

"Min WooYou know him so I suppose that you know the reasons?" Ji Hye said.

"I can't say anything if Kang Ta doesn't want me to," Min Woo muttered.

Suddenly, someone walked out from behind Kang Ta.

"Brian," Jae Won whispered as he shook his head.  The consequences

When Kang Ta heard Jae Won, he turned around just in time to see Brian take off his cloak, revealing his face.

When the people looked at his face, all of their mouths dropped open
