WHAT TO WEAR TO CLASS
Women should wear a long fully skirt with dance pants under the skirt.
A form fitting top or leatord.
Hair should be pulled back off the face.
Jewelry is okay to wear, but please NO dangling bracelets!
Men should wear comfortable pants and a shirt that is comfortable to move in.
SHOES - Proper flamenco shoes need to be ordered of you want to become serious about studying flamenco dance. I feel that it is okay to wait a couple of months before ordering shoes before you make the commitment in ordering shoes. During the time you are waiting for your shoes to be ordered please wear a street shoe that has a stable heel. Do not wear high heels---you should feel comfortable, stable and secure while in dance class.
WEAR TO BUY SKIRTS
I design and sew flamenco skirts! Sometimes I have skirts pre-made for sale during class or I can custom make one for you. Please just ask! There is a link below for some information on skirts.
CLASS MANNERS - Class manners are something that is very important to me.Most of my students are coming from their jobs and want to come to class not only to learn flamenco dance, but to enjoy the commadrie of other students. We must leave our "personalties at the door". Meaning if you have a bad day at work you are NOT allowed to bring that with you into the classroom. Instead leave your troubles outside and come in smiling! This is for you, your fellow students and your teacher. Sometimes I will have to correct students on their class manners! But that's OKAY! :)
CLASS FEES
Class fees are due at the beginning of each month. That are no refunds for missed classes, but you may make up a class on a different day or in a different level. If you have schedule conflicts arrangements can be made when you pay at the beginning of the month.
GUITARIST FEES
A couple of times a month we have a guitarist in class. This is a very important part of flamenco---the live musical accompanment. Students split the guitar fees for each class. I will let you know each month what days the guitarist will come and remind students to bring their tip money.
