Quake3 Arena timedemo.

Tested on
PIII-500 with 2 Wicked3D Voodoo2 boards in SLI configuration.

Drivers: 

  • 3dfx driver for Voodoo2 version 3.03.00, released on 12/3/99 
  • WickedGL drivers, released on 12/16/99 
    1. Regular version of WickedGL 
    2. WickedGL with high resolution modes optimization 
K7-800 with Monster 3d 2 and Magic 3d 2 in SLI config

Default quality settings:

Maximum quality settings are the same plus: * - best performance

You will notice the intense competition between these two CPU's, the main contributing factor is SSE support.
Quake 3 has built in support for SSE (almost like POD  and MMX, I still think that is the only game that was
programmed that way ;) I could be wrong ! Not the star wars racer)
The other factor is that I am using hacked SLI drivers to get my 2 voodoo's to talk to each other,

And the Magic has slower RAM than the Monster

Over all the K7 800 wins on the default setting, and the PIII 500 wins on the maximum setting
