JUST
NOVEMBER 3-4, 2002
Good day (or
night) people. Im just writing another entry since I have nothing else to do
to waste my time. Over the weekend, Ive been worrying about numerous school
assignments/tests and whatnot, and its been getting on my nerves. Ive just
recently finished this project for my art class that is far too extensive for
me to like it. Therefore, I dont. It could have been better had it not
involved so much stuff. Oh well, at least I got it done. I didnt think I would
even complete it. My weekend has been pretty much the typical, boring kind.
However, its not school, so its all good.
I guess Ill
talk about the Halloween holiday now. I had a pretty decent Halloween. It was
the best one Ive had in five years. First, it started off like a normal day
thanks to having to go to class and taking a test. It was okay, though. For
much of the day (before I went to class), I stayed in and watched television.
Courtesy of VH1, there was a "Michael Jackson Halloween Crypt," so I tuned in
to some of that. I also watched "A Different World" for an hour. The best part
of the holiday happened at 7:00pm (more or less). I tagged along with two
female companions (dont get it twistedlol) for a little Halloween fun. It was
me, Hayley, and her best friend Chassidy. First, we went out to eat. During
that time, we spotted a few little kids coming in with Halloween costumes. One
Daniel Boone looking kid was already inside with his family enjoying some
edibles. This other kid came in looking like a karate kid. We were all like, "ohhow cute!" That kind of stuff took me back to my early Halloween days. After we ate, one of the girls wanted to go shopping briefly before our main event. So, we went. Thats when we saw more kids in Halloween costumesand some adults who had no damn business dressing up for Halloween. If you ask me, they should have stayed at home. For example, this one woman was in this bee outfit. Number one, it was very atrocious. Number two, she looked atrocious. Number three, she should have fixed her stinger because it was all up on her back and stuff, lol. Chassidy and I were briefly trippin off that. I was laughing nearly the entire time I was in the store thanks to the visuals and the friendly banter going on between the two ladies. That was a nice little distraction. After the shopping, we were on our way to the movies, but before we went Haley was talking to her parentswell, they started talking while we were in the store. The conversation continued as we got into the car. At that point, Hayley tells me that her mom wants to talk to me. That was a surprise. I wondered what she wanted. Well, her mom gave me a warningsomething along the lines of not letting the two girls make me sit between them because they get so scared and that could be dangerous. That was a hoot. I thanked her for the warning. Finally, we were off. As we arrived at the movie theater, we were trying to decide what we wanted to see. We all decided to see The Ring. We didnt go into the theater right away though because we had plenty of time to spare. So, as we were sitting in the car we browse through Hayleys collection of CDs and one disc that she highlighted was this compilation of 1980s hits. We all figure that was cool. Hayley never heard it before that time despite it being a gift for her aunt. Apparently, her aunt thought it was real deal...real artists and their hit songs.Boy, were we all wrong. These were not the original songs by the original artists, but knock-off versions. These songs were terrible...and hilarious. The highlights include a totally botched up version of Aerosmith and Run DMC's "Walk This Way," Hayley and Chassidy singing along to the fake version of "We Got The Beat," and this non-singing female trying to sing Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel." That duck couldn't even get MJ's trademark hee-hee's and hoo's halfway right. It was atrocious...lol. So it was a treat, but not in the way it was intended. Well, we finally got into the building and we just sat around for a little while. Not long after, we went into the theater where our selected movie was playing. I didnt know what to expect of this movie. I hadnt heard much about it, but from what I did hear, it was great. So, I took that into consideration. The movie was great. It was not your typical horror film where predictable things happened. Its more of a film that got you in a psychological sense. There are unique events, twists, and turns in the film that add to the overall experience. Hayley was scared the entire time. Each time she jumped, or screamed, or even kicked, I laughed (and I wasnt the only one). When that movie was over, Chassidy was truly amazed. She kept saying that the movie was brilliant and well done. I agreed with her. Hayley thought the movie was greatdespite saying early on during the movie that she didnt like it (since she was scared and alllol). I think that The Ring might be my favorite horror movie. I cant say that for sure though. It was the best one Ive definitely seen, but to say that its my favorite I would have to have the urge to see it again. I might want to, but I dont know. All in all, I had a great time. It was definitely fun for all three of us and we agreed that we should go out together again sometime. Whenever that is, I dont know, but I am ready for it.
Now that Ive
reminisced on Halloween, I dont know what else I should talk about. At this
time, Im just sitting in front of the computer chatting and web browsingoh
yeah, and typing this. Tomorrow will be another ridiculous school day.
Boooooooo! Ive been trying to think of more to say, but I cant. Besides, I
dont think I should drag this on any longer. So, until I hit you up with
another installment of this, I am now out. Peace.
