Coming to Kansas City! Kansas City, here I come!
Rita visited for a week in April, and we were able to celebrate her birthday before she returned to Midland, Texas.  Mark, from Puerto Rico, was also here in April.
In June, Ron Ficek and his son Josh took a motorcycle trip from North Dakota to visit Grandpa and Grandma and family.  Lillian Ficek and her daughter Laurie also came to visit with the Ficek family.

For the July 4th weekend, most of Richards daughters and       grandchildren came from Nashville to celebrate his 60th birthday with him.

We enjoyed spending some time this summer with Greggs mom Beth, and took her to see the movie
March of the Penguins.

Party!  Gregg turned 40 this year and we celebrated with a pizza and arcade game party.  Our nephew Daniel turned 2 (on Dec 29).  Diane and her sisters celebrated Richard and Judys 20th wedding anniversary with family and friends at their favorite restaurant Mannys.  Beth retired in April from her job at the Marysville KS courthouse Gregg surprised her by attending her work retirement party and then the family celebrated over Memorial Day weekend in Waterville.  She has found a part-time job where she works one day a week.

On October 15, we attended John and Kimberlys wedding.
We attended the Royals home opener this year and several other games.  The Royals did not play very well this year.  The exciting part of the baseball season was when the Chicago White Sox won the World Series.  The last time the White Sox won the World Series was 1917.  Jermaine Dye, formerly with the KC Royals, was the MVP.  Lets see Boston Red Sox won last year, the White Sox this year its the Chicago Cubs time next.

We always enjoy time spent with nephews and nieces.
Brandon participated in a comedy show, Lauren had a piano recital, and both played basketball this year.  Throughout the year, Diane spent a few days watching Daniel.
This summer we went to Atchison, KS for the Amelia Earhart festival and to Hanover, KS area for the Pony Express festival.  We spent our wedding anniversary with relatives in Waterville, KS attending the 100th birthday celebration of the historic Weaver Hotel.  The event included a concert by Judy Coder and Pride of the Prairie, opening of the time capsule that was in the wall of the hotel, a tour of the hotel (being renovated), and dinner and birthday cake.

In October, we spent a day at the
Watkins Mill State Park,        where we toured the Watkins Woolen Mill and family house, and spent time in a  park by the lake.

In mid-December, we went to Omaha for a U2 concert!  We spent a couple of days there, looking at Christmas decorations and exhibits at Union Station and shopping at the Old Market.

Greggs company, IDI, sent him to a week-long conference in May in Longbeach, California.  Diane is still working part-time PRN at a nursing home as an
Activities Aide.
