About Me

My name is David Beagley. I am currently a first-year student at Concordia Seminary. I am studying for my M. Div, which will lead me to the ordained ministry. This will lead to parish ministry, although serving in an academic setting is by no means out of the question.

In May, 2003, I graduated from Valparaiso University. I was an American Studies major, which is a combination of mostly English, history, and political science, though some art, sociology, and theology classes were worked into this. While here, I am involved in a lot of activities, mostly involving Christ College , the Music Department, and the Chapel, and most of the time a combination of those.

In June 1999, I graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School. While there, I was involved in a lot of activities. One of the most fun activities I was in was Scholastic Bowl. It's like Jeopardy with teams. In addition to competing in the IHSA, we participated biannually in the Knowledge Master Open. Another activity I was in was Debate, or Student Congress. I was in that for 4 years, and was co-captain my senior year. Science Olympiad was yet another of the activities I was in. While not being a future engineer, this team was special to me because I helped get it started at CLC . My junior year was the first year the CLC Sci Oly team went to state. We placed 7th at Regionals, and got the Spirit Award at State. My senior year, our main accomplishments were dominating Chem Lab and Bottle Rocket, and evacuating the building by melting our alligator clips. I also competed in WYSE: Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering, of which the Academic Challenge is basically seeing who can take tests better.I also participated in MUNUC: the Model United Nations at the University of Chicago. My Junior year I was on the Slovenian delegation, and senior I was on the Ukrainian delegation.

While at home, I was very involved in my youth group at Church.
