A few things I am passionate about!
TAMIL������������ MUSIC������������ MEDICINE���������� INTERNET
Tamil
Tamil is my mother tongue. From childhood I had developed a passion for the language, its rich literature and cultural heritage. I had written a few poems in tamil (will put them up after some time). My father has a great deal in getting me introduced to this language as well as getting me interested in it. He is also a poet and his poems are definitely a source of inspiration to me to write. Though right now, after being so busy with Medical school, with little time to think about tamil and write poems as I did before, still I long to get back and write when I get time. But right now it is only "longing". Hope to kick start soon.
THIRUKKURAL is one of my favourites. I always look into it for answers. It has been a good guide to life. For that matter I really wonder how someone could write something that seems to fit in all times. That makes me wonder and worship Thiruvalluvar.
Bharathiyaar is another favourite of
mine, though I really have not been able to go through the whole of his works.
His futuristic ideologies interest me a lot. One of the most influential poems
of his is "Manadhil Uridhi Vaendum"...
Among the Present day poets, The one who impressed me with his provess in
handling not only archaic poetry but also down-to-earth movie songs is
Vairamuthu.

Music
Music is a healer, just like time! I love Indian music! I am mostly interested in Movie songs, especially ones with a good classical background in them. And if there are good lyrics, that makes my perfect song, provided it is rendered beautifully by the singer. My all time favourite Music Director is A.R.Rahman. I also like quite a few of Ilayaraja's songs. I also like Yanni's Instrumentals
A.R.Rahman
I have nothing new to say about him, except that his music mesmerises me. I have almost all his compositions as cassette. I wish him all the best, and hope he will continue to produce good music forever!Some of my favourite songs are
"Chinna chinna aasai, Kannukku mai azhagu, Nila kaaigirathu, Maargazhi poove, Thenkizakku cheemayile, Theendaai mei theendaai, Snehithane, Kannamoochi yenada, etc..etc..."
Yanni
My all time favourite Yanni compositions is "Aria"

That is my carrer and I am obviously interested in that very much.
