| Well, "High" there. I'm the vocalist for -DRAZIL- my real name is Feliciano Arthur, but thats also the reason why they call me Felix. I'm from Crownpoint N.M. and yeah I am Navajo. It's was John, Landon, and I that started this band. It' was also all my falt that were called -DRAZIL- it started as just something I would tag everywhere but it was "lizard" spelled and writtin backwards. We needed a name for our first show and out of no where someone says "how about thats shit your always tagging" At the start I played bass but then i found myself knowing all the lyrics to the cover songs we would play, then what do you know i become the lead singer. To tell you the truth i dont think there was anyone else who had the balls to do the frontman thing. I felt like it was also up to me, on how we wanted to presented ourselves. I really did'nt like the idea of being "Native metal" or "Tribal metal" first, then just being a metal band. i think thats an over used gimmic. "PRIDE YOUR NATIVE, DONT PARADE IT." You know? As a lyrisist I like storytelling as the contents of our songs. Riddles and reasons for some of the bullshit we all go though. I stay away from politics and stupid shit like satanic messages. No i would'nt want to disrespect a badass guitar riff with lyrics about president Bush. Yeah okay sure there are a few drug refferances. we have a song called "Dizzy Smoke" and it's all about expandtion not escape. An experience, not incuragement...4 real!! My vocal style i cant really say what or how i sound compared to other vocalist out there, you decide yourself. I dont growl like "Canabal" or scratch scream like "Cradle" it's somewhere between there though. I like the voice of an emergency annoucement (ladies and gentlemen this building is on fire) you know shit like that. I dont Ask much from a crowd just their ears and their time. they can do whatever they want while we play because it's there money. I just say make the best of it. the more fun they make it the more fun a -DRAZIL- show will be or any show for that matter. Well, again thank you for your time and listen to -DRAZIL- |
