This gig took place during the Youth Reach in Ballywillan church along with Waxx now known as Do Not Adjust and minus their lead guitarist. Anyway! As the leaders were closing Youth Reach til next time, the bands (DRAYVEN and Waxx) made their way towards the hall where the gig would take place in order to set up. Once everything was ready, both bands tried some sound checking and everything seemed fine, there was a quality PA as well which is always a good thing. DRAYVEN were introduced (minus Vinnie) and we stepped on stage to start with our usual "Tourettes" followed by "For Whom The Bell Tolls" routine and all that. Even the so called "Metallica Haters" had grown a liking to us and we could see that we were beginning to reach out to a wider audience. The original didn't work too well and I'm not quite too sure why...Anyway I wasn't too happy with "Chop Suey" either because the microphones were too good and you could hear my awful voice as I admitidley can't sing that song for hell! Can do the screaming bits rather good though! Anyway, all was well with most of the songs and the audience seemed to enjoy it alright. Next was Waxx and I have no doubts on their originality aspect, but personally not my "cup of tea" or so to speak, the crowd really got into the song titled "CIA" in particular, all over, a good night!
