WONDERS

 Reach up into the Stars,
Seize them like they were yours.
 Fly on the clouds,
Dance in the wind.
 Be free from your pain,
That so often traps you.
 Look into the eyes of someone,
And know you are loved.
 Swim in the deepest oceans,
Feel the water run….
 All these things and more are given,
With the coming of the Son.

THERE IS A PEACE

  There is a peace that comes from beyond,
That keeps us from worrying,
Or holding on.
  There is a peace,
Which I’ve seen so often,
Take over my heart,
 And set me down softly.

 
DIDN’T WANT TO DIE

    I didn’t want to die today,
I didn’t want to die.
    Living was a nice way to go,
But I guess it was my time.
    My time to die to myself,
And live another life.
    I wanted to be just a little longer,
Though life has shown me ‘no’.
    To feel the air in my lungs,
So cool and fresh that I’ve known.
   Must I die now, 
Must I go?
   Everything was fun and fine for me,
Yet I guess I should have known.
   Nothing last in this world,
So I guess I must go.
   Die to self, 
Die to me,
  Oh, who else will I be?


TRUE LOVE

 Soft and gentle,
There are no words to express,
How the pain is eased away,
Leaving just a pale face.
Things come from God, 
And so they go….
Peace is never fleeting,
When you know where to go.
My joy isn’t gone,
No, it’s still burning brightly.
For today I’ve seen true love expressed,
In all the places I’d never expect.
Who would have known a simple phrase,
From a mouth would have saved?

WHO AM I FATHER?

 Who am I Father?
Who have I become?
Some monster with no feelings?
Or simply ones just of love.
 Who am I Father?
Where have I gone?
I’m not the little girl anymore,
Who I thought I knew.
I decided to be myself,
And I found You instead.
Oh, Lord, so sweet,
My heart still beats,
For Your never ending love. 
 Who am I Father?
I am You.
You’ve given me love,
Love that cannot die.
Hope that burns brightly,
And a joy that never dims,
You have given me abundantly.
  Who am I Father?
I am who I was meant to be.
