Not that religion is their only connection, Nira is a gypsy, and thus travelled as Drasoini did. Not in the same way or for the same reasons, but neither had any building to call home nor any number of things that those who lived in cities or on farms had. But they both have, or in Drasoini's case, had, strong ties to their families. This similiar background created yet another tie to pull them closer.
