Knowledge Leaders
Ans b. Malik hath said, The wise aspire to know, the foolish to relate. He who uses knowledge as a means of winning power and honour and wealth is no servant. The pinnacle of knowledge is reaching the level when one is able to know Allah.

| As the poet says,
Al- Ajazu an daraki ` l-idraki idraku Wa ` l-waqfu fi turuqi ` l-akhyari ishraku. True perception is to despair of attaining perception, But not to advance on the paths of the virtuous is polytheism. |

Husayn Al-Juayari has said, The permanence of faith and the subsistence of religions and the health of bodies depend on three qualities: satisfaction / iktifa piety / ittiqa abstinence / ihtima
Those who have set their hearts on worldly gains and assist governors and tyrants. They are clever enough to seduce others in futile discussions, raising subtle points and attacking authorities of religion. Their job is to raise discord and conflict in society, hence leading the truth to confusion. They are least bothered to reach consensus. The persons who value self more than society, are negligent not in knowledge but in duty towards people.
Abu` Yazid Bastami` has said, I have struggled in spiritual combat for 30 years and I found nothing harder to me than knowledge and its pursuit. It is easier to walk on fire rather than travelling on road towards knowledge, and an ignorant heart will more readily cross the bridge (Sirat) a thousand times than learn a single piece of knowledge; and the wicked man would rather pitch his tent in Hell than put one item of knowledge into practice. Accordingly one must learn knowledge and seek perfection therein. The perfection of human knowledge is ignorance of divine knowledge. You must know enough to know that you dont know. That is to say, human knowledge is alone possible to man, and humanity is the greatest barrier that separates him from divinity.
Al Balakhi had reminded again and again in his teachings that the heart is the seat of knowledge of Allah. People go to Kaba and look at it with highest devotion, but Allah is looking at their hearts, what they have in store there, Love& mercy or competition & jealousy. He has informed that Allah looks into the hearts of people to see whether His desire is there, and the traces of His prophets, and whether the eyes of people whom He loves are directed there. (p. 141)
Abu Ali Thaqafi has said, Knowledge is the life of the heart, which delivers it from the death of ignorance; it is the light of the eye of faith, which saves it from the darkness of infidelity.

The fruit of satisfaction is pure knowledge of Allah, and the result of piety is excellence of moral character, and the end of abstinence is equilibrium of constitution. (p. 148) Lack of positive religion and of morality arises from negligence (ghaflat). Yahya b Mu`adh al-Razi has said, Avoid the society of three types of men:
2.The Hypocrites
Though they proclaim themselves to be the scholars of Qur'an, but they would appreciate only what has been according to their desire, even if it is evil, and blame everything what they dislike, even if it is beneficial, like the critics who often criticize Qur'anic laws on issues of polygamy, inheritance, or punishment awarded at disobedience of Laws. Their will lacks total submission to the will of Allah; their intellect lacks full comprehension of divine laws and it is not merged well with Allah. Seeking always praise and distinction they want to establish their unique identity.
3.Ignorant Pretenders
The people who have never been associated with a spiritual director (pir), nor learned a discipline from a Shaykh, but without any experience have thrown themselves among the people, and dare to tread the restrained path.
