God's Will
With the help of Allah. He helps whom He will, and He is exalted in might, most merciful. (30:5)
Me hath said it all, but getting to the bottom core
Without His benevolence, we are the lowliest of low
Without Allahs and His blessed persons blessings
Even an Angel hath its path but darkening (1)

Oh Allah! The Almighty, The Master of quantity & quality (2)
Thou have constructed a marvelous castle facing eternity
O Allah! Thou art fully cognizant of invisible and visible
Thou art no less no more: above all  descriptive measures (3)
Oh Allah! Essentially required is but Thy benevolence
To remember someone other than Thee is impertinence .

Thou have blessed us Divine Guidance to such degree (4)
All our imperfection have become but a veiled mystery ;
The first drop of knowledge that Thee had showered
With Thy supreme Divine oceans hath us connected (5)
I, too am blessed with that Divine drop in heart (6)
Help me purify that desire and lust may depart; (7)
Erst it may be indulged in pettiness shallow (8)
Erst the strong winds may shrivel its hallow (9)
(1) Refers to the downfall of the Archangel Iblis who met the worst downfall after disobeying God to bow before Adam.
(2) God cannot be comprehended (Quran: 6:103)
"No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things." the human mind can only conceive of God subjectively because it cannot see Him or describe Him (Quran: 42:11) : (He is) the Creator of the heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle: by this means does He multiply you: there is nothing whatever like unto Him, and He is the One that hears and sees (all things).
(3) Allah is above all bounds and measures known to human mind. As explained above.
(4) Man may overcome his flaws in the light of Divine Guidance: through Self-mortification
(5)The first drop is the first verse revealed to Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), which had connected his knowledge with Divine Knowledge System. Rumi is imploring before God that please let us comprehend and appreciate that knowledge well.
(6) It comes in Quran: 32:9:
But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit (Ruh). And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give!
(7) Since soul is the nearest (Aqrab) to God. It is Qalb (soul-centre), which receives Divine Knowledge and is the sole instrument for carrying on Divine Communion between Man & God. It is beseeched that ones intellect may not be at the mercy of whims of lower-soul, but reigns free by intellection through Rational Soul. See more on human soul & Self-mortification.

Human beings lead their lives at two different levels: one at the animal or physical level, and the other at the human or spiritual level. At the animal level our goals are standard: self-preservation and procreation.  At the spiritual level, too, we require an absolute and permanent standard. The (Ruh) is divine energy for function of soul. It is an exclusive gift from God to every human being. This is what separates humans from other animate and inanimate objects in the Universe. However, this divine gift of Ruh is given as a latent potential and the aim of human life is to develop it.  The realization of Ruh into human-self is the spiritual dimension of human existence, which requires an absolute, permanent standard to measure its growth provided through Divine Guidance.

(8) khassaf is the capacity of earth that it drags and pulls things into itself. Similarly the lower-soul has the capacity to indulge human beings into its earthly desires and petty commitments of this world.
(9) The strong winds are from pneuma /hawa or passion: The hot winds of desire but agitate the rational soul and shrivel the Qalb.
