Krista Apple (Kay)
Krista is a 1999 graduate of Kenyon College, where she majored in drama and English and performed such roles as Rita in Educating Rita and Liz Morden in Our Country's Good. Krista has also attended the British-American Drama Academy in London, England, and has served as an associate theatre faculty member at the National High School Institute in Chicago, Il. Locally, Krista has performed with Total Theatre, Columbus Children's Theatre, and Rosebriar Shakespeare Co. Most recently, she performed the role of Anna in Red Herring Theatre's acclaimed production of Anna Weiss. She can also occasionally be seen performing at COSI where she is a team leader for the Spectrum Players, COSI's acting troupe. Krista would like to thank the cast and crew, her friends, family, and her Musketeers for helping her make the most of this opportunity.
Jeff Horst (Adam)
This is Jeff's first production with Madlab and he is honored to be working on this new piece with longtime friend John Dranschak. A native of the Columbus area, past credits include productions with Red Herring Theatre, Reality Theatre, Columbus Children's Theatre, Gallery Players, and Total Theatre. Recently he appeared as Jonathan Davis in the encore performance of Act Out Production's premier of N.S. Heiden's Members of the Tribe. He is currently attending Ohio State University majoring in music education and wishes to extend nothing but gratitude to family and friends for their endless stream of love and support.
John Dranschak (Playwright-Director)
John, a Columbus native, studied theatre at Kenyon College and has been actively involved in the Columbus theatre scene since 1996. From September of 1998 to February of 2000, he served as Red Herring Theatre's Managing Director and has also performed a variety of functions with Red Herring including Set Carpenter, Stage Manager, Scenic Designer, and Lighting Designer. Most recently, he directed Red Herring's acclaimed production of Like Totally Weird. He is thrilled to be working with Madlab for the first time and For the Life of Me marks his debut as a playwright. He would like to thank: all his friends and family for their continual love, advice, friendship, and support; Brant and Michael for continually pushing him into new territory; Jeff and Krista for all that you have done and continue to do for this play; and Eric and the crew at Madlab for encouraging, supporting, and producing new work. This city is a better place to live and work due to your tireless efforts.
