Research Achievements

§         Explored the grasshopper fauna of Pakistan in which 146 species of the grasshoppers identified, out of  which :

§         48 species and one family has been recorded for the first time from Pakistan, while Two genera and 11 species were new to science and named.

§         Being a pioneer in the country, work on the molecular characterization of insects.

§         Developed beekeeping and bee farming in Faisalabad.

§         Established honeybee, Apis mellifera L. colonies in local conditions on artificial diet.

§         Prepared different artificial diets for the production of:

ü      Good prolific queen bee.

ü      Healthy brood.

ü      Active, healthy and potential worker bees.

ü      Honey yield.
