To Err is Human(e)?
Is it right to make mistakes with a person's life,
doctors today choose to begin, continue or end life.
It's scary to think your doctor has that much control,
to end your life, and your freedom, bury your soul.
Life is a choice, but who gets to choose?
How do we know we singled out
the one that gets to lose?
How do we know we made the right choice
to end a person's life, to quiet their voice?
Some say its inhumane and a sin to remain
on this Earth brain-dead or in a bed.
Yet how do we know this person can't live,
can't love, can't think, can't feel or give?
Why do we assume there would be no room
for everyone and the world would be full of doom?
People say it's the beautiful death,
what's beautiful in cutting off someone's breath?
