Pictures are memories captured with love,
with wings that wrap you up like a dove.
Pictures bring happy, and somewhat sad memories,
and smiles, tears, or just silence.

But pictures don't represent betrayal and heartache,
you act, play with the camera's eye, or fake.
Pictures don't always capture depression and grief,
black eyes, cuts, bullet holes, or broken teeth.

Pictures can be biased, and sway the vote,
can cause pain, rage, and rocking of the boat.
Pictures try to capture the heart and time,
but end up being as clear of the mime.

Pictures can ruin people's lives if shown in the wrong light,
can you say that it is wrong, or if it is right?
Can you believe the lies pictures tell, of good times
or bad times, of poorness, weakness and wealth?

Why do people always make judgements about the things they see,
don't they undertand the pain, the price, the fee.
No, they don't because they were painted a picture,
that remained in their steel-trap mind like a fixture.

(This poem paints a very unclear picture,
some of it of sadness, some of victor.
The meaning remains, "Be careful of the
pictures you paint, remember the fee.")
