| The Flesh Shintai, the Wood element analog, allows a Kuei-jin to channel Yang energy through the medium of her corpse in order to augment and transform it. * Long Neck The name of this power is somewhat misleading; the vampire can actually extedn their neck or limbs, sending them slithering over walls and around corners. The skin down not extend with the limb, so onlookers experience the gruesome sight of the vampire's head or digit extending along a stringy thread of viscera and muscle tissue. ** Detach Limb This power is one classically associated with the mythical penangallan. The vampire has mastered Chi to such an extent that she may separate a part of her life-force from the main reservoir. In this manner, she may actually detach a part of her body and allow it to act at range. *** Lotus Cloud By combining internal Chi with drawn breath, the vampire may exhale an opalescent cloud of euphoric Yang energy. All who breathe the vapors become dreamy, giggly and generally incoherent. This power does not affect vampires, spirits, or other unliving things, but mortals and shapeshifters are susceptible. **** Pelesit The vampire can construct small creatures from his body, detachng them and sending them out in various errands. These creatures are known as pelesit, and they prove exceedingly useful spies. Pelesit typically appear as grotesque insects or deformed homunculi, though many vampires who master this power decorate their bodies in elaborate tattoos, then cause the tattoos themselves to animate at the Cayathan's bidding. ***** Ten Thousand Faces At this level, the vampire gains near-complete control over her shape. She can appear as nearly any type of person by changing her skin, hair and body parameters, and even sprout wings. She can also appear as an animal, so long as the animal is of roughly the same mass as the vampire. ***** * Body of the Mouse Up until this level, Kuei-jin are generally limited to changing their bodies into shapes of roughly the same size and mass as their 'true' form. Now the vampire can transcend that restriction. This power allows the Kuei-jin to shrink her size and shape ***** **Body of the Serpent This power makes the Kuei-jin's entire body flexible, as if it were made out of rubber. He is able to stretch limbs and torso, bend them at impossible angles, squeeze through small spaces, and resist most forms of physical damage. ***** *** Bloat This power allows the user to absorb enormous amounts of Yang Chi form the surrounding area, which causes them to grow and expand their bodies, thus increasing their combat abilities. ***** **** Unchaining the Form This level allows a Kuei-jin to change his form with little regard for his mass. He can assume any shape he wishes, of any size or mass, from half an inch tall and about a quarter kilogram, to hundreds of feet tall or wide and several tons. |
