Warning: This is a Yaoi/Yuri story. In other words, this has boyxboy love. I don’t care what you think about such things, I do ask that if you don’t like it, don’t read it. DUH!! Don’t send flames, I will delete them immediately. This story is not centered around Taichi and Yamato as much as my last one. This is part of a series, if you read the other parts you may understand this one a little better. Thanks.

This story is supposed to come after both A Day in the DigiWorld and Digital Reunion. Some parts in this story will only make sense if you have read A Day in the DigiWorld and Digital Reuion. If you have read both A Day in the DigiWorld and Digital Reuion, I hope you have also read Never Leave Me (the one before). If you haven’t, well, that’s your problem and you can try to figure out what is happening. I am using the Japanese names for the humans. This is part two! If you didn’t read part one, you’re stuck! Go read it!

DISCLAIMER: (I hate this >_<) Digimon does sooo not belong to me. Don’t sue. Yamachi, Taito, most of their friends, the Digimon of most of their friends (not Osamu’s Digimon), Meko, Mara, Hamilton, the evolutions of the Mysterious Five (not their rookie forms mind you, I found those on the D-terminal toy), Lady Miyotismon (sort of, I found the idea for her in the story of someone else!), Sarah, & Doommon and his forms are all mine. The Digidestineds’ kids crests were my idea, but I won’t take the crests (‘cause I got the ideas for a few of them from other sites ^_~). The poems Flashin’ By and the one Yamachi thought of in the courtyard are mine. Don’t steal them! No, Dreams By Langston Hughes is not mine, but it is where I got the idea for Taito’s crest! Thanks again!

Family Finds The Way
41 years after 02
Part two of four

Flashin’ By
Confusing thoughts flash through my head,
As the darkness closes in.
A face or two swims right on by.
Little boy ain’t my name.
Help him first,
But why do you care?
He’ll kill us all,
If we don’t get out,
Of here.

When I woke it was dark, and my head hurt. I opened and closed my eyes a few times and wondered if I was blind, or if the room was black.

“Yamachi, you awake?”

“Yamato, is that you?”

“Hai. It’s me.” He sounded tired, and worried. I moved over to where his voice had come from. When I reached him I hugged him.

“Who brought us here? For that matter, where are we?” I wonder aloud, and felt Yamato shrug.

A sudden, bright light gave me an answer, although, to what it was, I’ve no clue. When my eyes cleared I saw a woman standing in a doorway. She was thin and wore tight clothing. Her pants were black and ended at high-heeled black shoes. Her shirt ended just below her breasts, had long sleeves, and a v-neck. Her black hair fell to where her shirt ended.

In the light I also found that Yamato had been treated roughly. A new cut on his head, that might prove fatal, was bleeding slightly. He also had his shirt tied around his chest, and it was soaked in blood. I bit my lip to keep from crying out. I was only a little dizzy.

The woman stepped forward. “We should look at that.”

“Forget it.” Yamato rasped back.

She took another step forward. “Now, now, Yama-chan. You know better.”

Her using Yamato’s nickname angered me. Only Taichi, and rarely, Takeru would ever even think ‘bout calling him that. So, I jumped up in her face, an she jumped. “Leave him alone, you abazureon’na! He said forget it, so forget it!” I yelled her.

She grinned. “Nice kid, Yamato. Now tell him to move.”

“Yamachi, don’t annoy her, too much.” Yamato told me. But since he didn’t tell me to move, I didn’t.

And regreted it. The woman grabbed me by the neck and held me off the floor. In other words, she was choking me. She was stronger than she looked.

Then, suddenly, she let me go. I was caught by two unsturdy hands. I sturdied myself and found it was Yamato who had caught me. He had come over and got her to let me go by letting her look at the wounds. She didn’t peel off the make-shift bandage. Yamato was gritting his teeth, but letting her look.

She looked up. “That’s bad. It isn’t healing right. It’s going to get an infection. Let me have it fixed for you. If your boy will let me, that is.” She looked at me and grinned slightly.

I turned to Yamato for his okay. He nodded. It was obvious that his wounds bothered him, though he tried to hide it. I turned back to the lady. “On two conditions.”

“What?” She replied, her voice even.

“I can watch and you tell me your name.”

“Smart boy. Fine, you may watch. My name is Lady Myotismon. I am, or was, Lord Myotismon’s daughter. Now, since that’s taken care of. This way please.” She headed out the door and we had no choice but to follow her. So, I let Yamato lean on me and we followed her.

We walked in silence. When we got to the room she nodded to Yamato. “They’re waiting for you. We will be watching from the window. They won’t let us in there.” Yamato nodded and went in. Lady Myotismon and I went to a large window that showed the room Yamato was in.

“Why do you care?”

“What do you mean, little boy?”

“Don’t call me that.”

“What should I call you then?”

“My name, Yamachi. Why do you care about Yamato?”

“Why do I care what happen to him you mean?” I nodded. “You aren’t prisonars, Yamachi. You two can go were you like, as long as you follow my rules.”

“Then why did you lock us up?”

“I hadn’t told you my rules yet.”

*Well, that makes sense.* “So, what are your rules?”

“I’ll tell you both when Yamato is done. It’s easier to only say them once.”

*Oh. That makes sense too.* I turned to watch Yamato.

~

When Yamato got out we met him at the door. He looked much better. There was a fresh bandage on his chest and the wound had been cleaned. The cut on his head was all cleaned up and also had a fresh bandage on it.

“Do you want a shirt?” Lady Myotismon asked Yamato. He shook his head and she shrugged. “This way, please.” She led us down a new hall. At least I think it was a new hall. I couldn’t tell this hallway apart from any others.

We came to a open door that led outside and went in, or out. It was a small courtyard. The sun was hiding behind some clouds but there was still some light. Lady Myotismon stayed in the shadows while Yamato and I walked around the courtyard.

We each found a comfortable spot on the ground and sat. “My rules are easy do follow and remember. Whether you follow them or not is up to you. But a warning, I do punish. Rule one: You may not leave this estate unless told so by myself or one of the others. Rule two: When you are in the courtyard you must be here with myself or one of the others. Rule three: You may move along your own hall freely, anywhere else, you need a chaperone. Rule four: Be nice to everyone who lives here. If you have a bone to pick with one of them, don’t. Rule five: Follow all the other rules. Any questions?”

“I was wondering. Why aren’t we allowed out side?” I asked.

“For your protection.”

“How will we know these ‘others’ you keep talking about?” Yamato asked.

“They look like me. Now if you will follow me, I’ll show you your rooms and hall.” She said and led us down a hall. When we reached a guard booth. She turned to it. “These two will be staying here. Watch them when I leave.” The being inside gave a curt nod.

We continued down the hallway until we got to two doors directly across from one another. There she stopped and turned to us. “These are your rooms. You two can decide which is which. The guard booths at either end of the hall mark this area as yours. There are call buttons in your rooms if you need anything. I will come to collect you for dinner.” She turned around and left.

“Well. How ‘bout we check out these rooms.” Yamato said in a cheerful voice. I stared at him, then realized he was just as upset as me, but was gonna make the best of it. I decided to follow his lead and nodded. We walked into one of the rooms. The only furniture was a bed, a little table, and a lounge chair. There was also a small bath with a toilet and a sink. There were no windows. I found the call button and pointed it out. “Want to go check out the other room and decided which one you want?”

“Hai.” We walked across the hall and found that the second room looked exactally like the first. I sighed and sat on the bed. “And I thought the band trip would be boring. There aren’t even cards to play with here. Nothing to do.”

“Do you have your D-terminal?”

“Hai. Why?”

“Contact the others.”

“Duh, Yamachi. I’m such a baka sometimes.” I took out my D-terminal and stared at it, unbelieving. “It’s not working!”

“Did you turn it on?”

“Hai.” I pulled my D-3 out too. “This isn’t working either!” I stared at my devices in disbelief.

Yamato sighed. “At least the band will worry when we don’t turn up.”

“Taichi will worry too. I sent him out to get eggs ‘cause he burned more than half the carton to the bottom of a pan.” Yamato burst out laughing. I grinned. “I left our breakfasts on the table and our suitcases are in our rooms. Taichi will wonder where we are.”

Yamato had stopped laughing, but was still smiling, slightly. “He’ll call an emergancy meeting, and they’ll go looking for our Digivices. They won’t think mine is in my bag and yours isn’t working. I guess we’ll have to find to find our own way back.”

“Later. I’m tired, your hurt, and no doubt tired too. Plus, we don’t know when Lady Myotismon will be back. Let’s get some sleep.” I sighed and layed back on the bed. “My room.”

Yamato got up, slowly. “Okay lazy. your room. Peaceful dreams.” He left and I fell asleep, thinking about my brother.

~

‘Bang! Bang!’ Someone was banging on my door. I’m guessing Taichi.

“Jeez! I’ll be up in a minute!” I yelled back to him.

“You’d better get up! I don’t serve dinner to lazy people still in bed!” A woman’s voice yelled from outside my door.

I did a double-take. *A woman?! But only men live in the house now!* Then the days events came rushing back to me. I jumped out of bed and ran to the door, slamming it open. I looked at Lady Myotismon. “I’m starved!” I exclaimed.

“Well, you can’t eat anything until Yamato is up. He is proving to be more difficult than you.”

I grinned. “You just don’t know how to wake him up!” I told her as I hopped into Yamato’s room. He was sleeping on the bed. I walked over and put my mouth to his ear. “Yamato.” I whispered. He stired some. “Yamato, I’m gonna scream.” I said, a little louder, and jumped back as he jerked up.

He glared at me. “Dead. You are so dead.” He said, pointing his finger at me.

“Not if you want dinner.” I called back cheerfully, and skipped out the room.

“Nicely done. I wouln’t have thought of that.” Lady Myotismon remarked dryly.

I turned to her, still grinning. “I’ve live with him for ten years. I hope I know how to wake him up.”

Yamato came out. “He does. He would have screamed if I hadn’t woken up. I learned that a long time ago.” We started down the hall. We passed the guard booth. We continued down the hall and none stopped us.

~

We got to the dining hall and I just stared. It was large. ‘Bout three stories tall and bigger than the cafateria at my school. The place seemed empty.

“I will not be eating with you, I have business to attend to elsewhere. My friend, Sarah, will be staying with you. Respect her.” She said and pointed to a girl I hadn’t noticed before. Then she left.

Sarah had dark brown hair that was the same length as Lady Myotismon’s. Her clothing was cut in the same fashion as the Lady’s, but was the color of her own hair, dark brown. I was starting to feel a little out of place with my light blue shirt and jeans. Sarah led us over to a table with food on it. I waited for Yamato to start to eat before I started. Sarah didn’t eat.

When we finished she collected our dishes. “Is there a certain place you would like to go in the estate?” She asked. She had a pleasant voice, but seemed shy.

Yamato nodded. “May we go to the courtyard?”

“Yes. This way.” She led us down one of the halls and to the courtyard.

The courtyard looked beautiful in the moonlight. It made me think of a poem I had heard somewhere. The poem went something like;

The moonlight.
The moon is like gold.
Gold that slips through my fingers.
The string.
The gold falls on to the string.
The string of geese.
Geese that fly by my window.

It takes time to memorize poems. This was one of the few I memorized. Taito memorized a poem called Dreams by Langston Hughes. He said that he enjoys it. Also, his crest is Dreams.

While Yamato strolled around the courtyard, I walked over to Sarah to ask a question. “Sarah, do you have any card games or things like that ‘round here?”

“No. I’m sorry, Yamachi. If we did I’d give them to you.” I was gonna ask her how she knew my name when an earsplitting scream filled the air. “My Lady!” Sarah gasped.

I decided my question wasn’t important. “Let’s go see.” I told her and we ran towards the direction the scream had come from, Yamato following closely.

~

We got to what used to be the guard booth at the end of our hall. It was in shambles. I bit my lip, frightened of what could do something like that.

Sarah! Get them out of here!” Lady Myotismon screamed. She was in the middle of our hall, a man was holding her against the wall. The doors to our rooms were torn off the hinges. I was afraid, because I knew how strong Lady Myotismon was, and that man was stronger than her. I’m guessing he was an enemy, too.

He looked over at us. “No, Sarah. Bring them over here.” His voice was smooth and easy. A voice one could trust. But I heard evil in it. Maybe it was my crest reacting, because Sarah seemed to trust it and Yamato looked confused. Sarah grabbed our arms and started to drag us down the hall. Yamato wasn’t really resisting. That bothered me.

Sarah! No! He’s tricking you! Listen to me! Get them out of here!” Lady Myotismon’s words brought Yamato to and he started fighting Sarah too. Sarah, on the other hand, was still under the man’s trance. I smacked her across the face and she came to.Let’s get out of here!” She yelled to us and we all turned and ran the other direction, Sarah leading.

GET THEM!!” The man thundered. We ran faster. When we came to an odd door Sarah grabbed a key out of her pocket and started fiddling with the lock on the door. I listened for pursuit.

And heard it. “Sarah! They’re comin’!” I warned her, and was pulled out the door as the first person came into sight.

Oookaay! That’s the end of part two of Family Finds the Way! Odd, ne! I had way too much fun with this part! ^_^”

What will happen to Yamachi and Yamato?! Who is this mysterious man?! Why is he after Yamachi and Yamato?! Why aren’t Yamachi’s D-terminal and D-3 working?! Will the man get them?! Will they get home?! Find out all this and more in part three of Family Finds the Way!

Oookaay! I know, I suck at action parts! (Well I think so!) The name of the poem that Yamachi thought of in the courtyard is Moonlight. That is my poem. It was not stolen. I don’t want anyone stealing it without my permission! Dreams by Langston Hughes is one of my favs and the poem I memorized, believe it or not! I figured that it would be a perfect poem for Taito, so gave it to him. If you want to know it, look it up, or e-mail me and ask! (Yes, it does take time and pratice to memorize poems! I’m speaking from experince!) Flames go to [email protected] or [email protected] Everything else goes to me at [email protected]
