Warning: This is a Yaoi/Yuri story. In other words, this has boyxboy love. I don’t care what you think about such things, I do ask that if you don’t like it, don’t read it. DUH!! Don’t send flames, I will delete them immediately. This story is not centered around Taichi and Yamato as much as my last one. This is part of a series, if you read the other parts you may understand this one a little better. Thanks.

This story is supposed to come after both A Day in the DigiWorld and Digital Reunion. Some parts in this story will only make sense if you have read A Day in the DigiWorld and Digital Reuion. If you have read both A Day in the DigiWorld and Digital Reuion, I hope you have also read Never Leave Me (the one before). If you haven’t, well, that’s your problem and you can try to figure out what is happening. I am using the Japanese names for the humans.

The Digidestineds’ kids crests were my idea, but I won’t take the crests (‘cause I got the ideas for a few of them from other sites ^_~). The poem Leaving Apart is mine. Don’t steal it! Leaving Apart
Didn’t wanna go,
Didn’t wanna leave.
We are the party,
That goes together,
Or so we thought.

Didn’t wanna go,
Didn’t wanna leave.

This is my home,
My place to roam,
With all them.

Didn’t wanna go,
Didn’t wanna leave.

Then I’m gone.
I went.
I leave.

I already miss Taito, my big brother. He left for collage only a few days ago. I’m all alone, or at least, that’s how it seems, ‘cause he took Snowagumon with him. True, Psychemon, my Digimon, is still here and I have my parents. Yamato is on a trip with his band, and is coming back tonight. He’s the lead singer. I have all his CDs, as do my brother, and our friends.

My other father, Taichi, isn’t home in the afternoon. You see, he and Agumon are ambassators for the DigiWorld. I get to go with him on trips sometimes, which can be quite fun. My brother used to go to the DigiWorld all the time, usually with his friends. When I go, I don’t see him, however hard I try.

I like my brother’s friends. They’re nice to me. There’s Lesa, my brother’s girlfreind. Then Kara and Brian, who are going together. Taro and Jen, who are really close. Don, who prefers his computer. Then last, but not the least, Osamu and Cliff, who are really close. My friends are different. My friends are ‘your average bunch of teenagers’ as Yamato puts it.

My crest is Innocence. My brother’s is Dreams. My father, Taichi, has Courage. My other father, Yamato, has Friendship. My fathers also share one special crest, Freedom. They are the only two humans who share a crest. They say that’s why they truly decided to get married, but I don’t know whether to believe them or not.

Taito and I were adopted. We don’t remember our past, so we don’t know whether we’re brothers or not. We really don’t care. We like our lives the way they are.

^_^

Psychemon came in. “What are you doing, Yamachi? Are you writing in your journal, again?”

“No! I’m doing homework, nosey!” I said, closing and hiding the journal in question.

“You said you already did your homework. Are you working ahead, again?”

“No! I was just... uh... Working!” My D-terminal bleeped. I read the e-mail that had just come in. It was from my friend Sana. “Want to go to the DigiWorld?”

“Let’s go!” I pulled out my orange and mist blue D-3 and we went through my computer to the DigiWorld.

Sana was waiting for us with her Digimon, Aruraumon. Sana’s parents are Mimi and Koushiro. She, unlike her brother, Brian, is not attached to her computer. Her father co-owns a computer store chain. Her mother hosts a cooking show. She is more like her mother. Her crest is Power.

Kane came out of the woods. He is small for his age, and his Digimon reflects that. Lockmon is small enough to sit on his shoulder, and does so. Ken and Miyako are his parents. Osamu and Lesa are his older siblings. His father helps Koushiro with the computer store, part-time, but is really a detective. Miyako also worked part-time at the near-by computer store, but when Lesa and Osamu moved off to collage she started working full-time, like she had before Lesa was born. Kane is more like his mother. His crest is Radiance.

Jonah followed Kane, his Digimon is Helmon. Jonah is the tallest of us all. His parents are Jou and Meko. Jou worries too much if you ask me, but maybe it’s because he’s a doctor. Meko is a nurse and often works with Jou because they can get along together. Jonah is more like his father, but has a few of his mother’s traits. Jonah’s crest is Peace.

Serena came up behind Jonah and smacked him. She always does. Jonah turned and glared at her. Her Digimon is Midokibetamon. Her parents are Sora and Michael. Sora is a fashion designer. Michael is a diver. Serena is more like her father. Her crest is Tranquility.

Tate came over and yelled at Serena. Tsukaimon, his Digimon, followed him. His parents are Hikari and Takeru. Hikari is a kindergarden teacher. Takeru is a novelist. I have most of his books. Tate’s sister is Kara. They disagree on everything. Tate and Kara are my cousins. Their parents are my parent’s younger siblings. Tate is more like Takeru. His crest is Cheer.

Our friend Katharina (a.k.a. Kath) chose that moment to come through the T.V. with her Digimon, Jinxmon. Kath’s parents are Kathrine and Hamilton. Her parents are French, but they moved here some years ago. Takeru and Taichi met Kathrine when Malomyotismon was around the first time. When Kathrine and Hamliton started having money trouble my fathers offered them a place here, and they gladly accepted. They had at first moved into our house, but when they were back on their feet they bought a place near-by. Kathrine is like a mother to us. Now Hamilton helps Taichi. Kathrine is working with Sora in her fashion business. Kath is like her mother. Her crest is Purity.

Now that our circle was complete, we sat down to discuss old and new business. We had a little club. We called ourselves the Digi Youngers. We had a lot to live up to. Our parents had saved both worlds, more than once. Our older siblings had defeted some evil. What it was none of us knew. I was only nine then. Now I’m fifteen.

“Hey! It’s the famous Digi Youngers!” A voice called from beyond the clearing.

“Quit hiding, Doommon!” I called back to the voice. Taichi, Yamato, and the other parents had befriended him years ago. Doommon stepped into the clearing and sat beside me. He was our unofficial club member, even though he was a Digimon. He came to every meeting, whether we told him ‘bout it or not. He claims these woods as his. He says he is allowing us to use these woods and this clearing for our meetings. That’s okay, as long as he keeps bringing food to the meetings.

We have an easy life, or so my brother says. I love my big brother and all, but he can really get on my nerves!

“I have bad news,” I informed all present, with a long face. Even though it was kinda good news for me, it wouldn’t be for them. I waited till all were looking at me before speaking. “Yamato has a band tour in the U.S. of A. I’m going with him. We’re leaving tomorrow.” I sighed and looked at the ground.

I looked back up at them. “How long?” Serena asked, a sad look on her face. I usually refused trips that I couldn’t bring my friends on, but there were times that Yamato insisted.

I grimaced and mumbled something unintellagable. Doommon nudged me. “Two weeks.” I said, just barely above a whisper. They still heard it though. I could tell by the cries of outrage coming from the others.

“Can you tell him to cancle?” Kath asked, a tear trickling down her cheek. “Or maybe back out?” I had to shake my head.

The rest of the evening was lost to that bit of bad news. We didn’t do much more than walk around in circles.

When I got home, I locked myself in my room and refused to come out for anything, or let anyone come in.

~:~

It was way past my bedtime and I was still moping.

“Yamachi, can I come in? Please? You can’t stay locked in your room forever. You gotta come out sometime. I should know, I tried the same thing when I was a kid, after my parents divorced.” Yamato called from outside my room door.

I gave up and opened my door to my favorite father. When I saw him I fell into his arms, crying. He took me over to my bed and hugged me, just letting me cry. *He does understand.* I realized.

The next day
~:~

I guess that I had fallen asleep and he had put me to bed. I figured so ‘cause when I woke up I found myself in my bed with my blanket over me and Psychemon was asleep at the end of my bed. Yamato was also asleep in my room, in the chair next to my bed. Gabumon was sleeping at his feet. Yamato looked cold and was shivering. He didn’t have a blanket on.

I grinned as I got out of bed. Then I grabbed my blanket and drapped it over him. After that I went down to the kitchen. Taichi was home. I could tell ‘cause of the sounds coming from the kitchen. A large crash made me jump.I ran into the kitchen, and found Taichi, hoppin’ ‘round like a rabbit, trying to get his toe in his mouth ‘cause he dropped a pan on it.

“Taichi,” I sighed and helped him to a chair. Then I picked up the pan, and stared at the burned mass stuck to the bottom. “What was this?” I asked Taichi.

“Eggs,” He replied, blushing. I had learned a long time ago that Taichi couldn’t cook for shit. Yamato can cook. Taito could improve, but at least you can eat what he cooks.

I sighed and got out a new pan. I saw all the pieces of egg shell in the sink and sighed again. I then looked in the egg carton and found that we only had three eggs left. I turned to Taichi, who had stopped sucking his toe and was staring at me, and sighed again. I seemed to be doing a lot of that lately. “Taichi, go out and get more eggs. We only have three left. I’m not making you any until you go get more. This carton was more than half full before you takled it! If you don’t get more eggs, you’re eating what you made.”

Taichi glared at me, but got up, grumbling the whole way, and headed to the front door. I heard the door slam and was satisfied. I turned back to the stove, the pan, and the three eggs.

When I finish the eggs I decided to go wake Yamato. I went up the stairs and into my room. Something felt wrong, but I couldn’t place my finger on it. Then I saw what was wrong, Yamato wasn’t in the room. Gabumon was pacing, a worried look on his dog-like face. Psychemon was on my bed, watching him.

“Where is Yamato?” I asked. The two Digimon looked up at me, sort of, but I was too worried ‘bout Yamato to think ‘bout why. “Well. Where is he?” They continued staring at me.

Then, all at once, I knew. They weren’t staring at me. They were staring behind me. They were staring at the person, or thing, that was holding something over my head. It crashed down on my head. I blacked out.
