Kat is stuck with an odd computer, so is helping us from there, and what a help she's been!
I'm very proud of her! She contacted the leaders of the earth and got all of them to allow us access to the energy we need! It's made things a lot more simple, faster too!
Then she asked me about my family. My mom and dad. I don't get along with them and I changed my last name on moving in with Atrai.I haven't heard from them since!
I gave Kat their last name, and left her be. I hope she behaves!

Part Seven
James' POV {Happy?}

We were back at the Digital World. We were doing this every morning, to report what was going on to our friends and family. None of us had run into any other problems with getting the energy since Kat had her discussion with the leaders.

"Dad! Come here!" Drac called from his group. I walked over to them. Taichi and Sora gave me a kind bow each and left us to talk. "Dad, did you get the e-mail from Kat?"

"The one telling us to contact my parents?"

"Yeah."

"Yes, I got it."

"Can we? Kat said they forgave you, somewhat."

"I know. You can, if you want. Talk to Yukio-sama about it." I mumbled and turned away.

Clip put a hand on my shoulder. "Mr. Monstrie, don't you think you at least should sent them an e-mail? They'll be worried about you."

"No, they won't. They never cared." I gumbled.

"Dad! At the very least e-mail them! If not for them or yourself, for Kat, me, our the fact that else you'll never be able to make up with them! Give them a chance!" Drac cried.

I turned around and glared at him. "Let's go talk to Yukio-sama." I mumbled.

Drac gave me a hug. "Thanks, dad." He whispered to me. Then we walked over to where Yukio was talking with Iori and waited for them to finish.

Then Iori left and Yukio turned to us. "Hai?"

"Yukio-sama, we have a request." I started. Yukio nodded. "My parents, who I haven't talked to in years, just spoke with Kat-chan and wish to speak with myself and Drac-chan. We were wondering if we could take a portal there and then rejoin our groups at the planet they are on at the time we leave."

"Hum... I have a better idea. You two work together, you may take Clip and maybe another if you wish, visit your parents and take care of the closest power plant near their house. After that, your group will go to other places. This way, we won't lose anymore of you guys, and you can continue your job there. With the deal Kat-kun made, work is going much faster and we can take time off. Choose your group and I will move the others around some more." Yukio said.

I bowed and pulled Drac to the side. "You'll want to take Clip, I know. Then who will we take?"

"Uhm, Jon, Thom, or Will, I guess." He said as Clip walked up.

Clip smiled. "Take Will-kun. He'll be happy to meet Kat-chan's family."

I smiled and looked for the boy. He was standing in a corner, away from others, talking with Groulmon. "I'll go get him." I mumbled, already pushing my way to him, Midoki Betamon following. "Will, ya wanna come with Drac, Clip and me?"

"Where are ya going?" The boy asked.

"We're going to meet my parents, take a short break. You can meet Kat-chan's grandparents." I replied.

The boy stood up slowly. "Why not."

I led him back to the group. "Will-kun is coming with us." I told the others. They nodded and Drac went to go tell Yukio.

When Drac came back he was smiling. "We can go now. Take the portal on your right!" We laughed and left.

We came out on the street I grew up on. The houses lined the road. I looked at the house before us. *This is where I grew up. Who knew I would be coming back knowing the world is basically coming to an end?*

We walked up the walk and I rang the doorbell. The door opened and I found myself face to face with the father I hadn't seen in over twenty-seven years. "Hi, dad." I whispered to him.

He smiled. "I guess Kat gave you the message."

"Ha- I mean yeah." I heard the others laugh behind me. I turned and glared at them. "Would ya'll shut up just this once?!"

"Not until you introduce us, dad." Drac said.

I laughed at my own forgetfulness. I turned back to my father. "Mind if we come in? We're only going to be here a short time"

My dad smiled and stepped back. "Sure. Come on in. Sit in the living room. James better remember where it is."

I laughed as I led the group to the living room. "I remember, unless you moved it." We sat and my mom came in.

"Oh my! I didn't know we had guests!" My mom said in surprise.

My dad grinned. "Guests?! Nah. It's just James and his gang, which he really needs to introduce."

I smiled. *It's good to be home.* I looked at the group I had brought with me. "Well," I looked down at Midoki Betamon. "this is Midoki Betamon, my Digimon. Then Drac, my son, his Digimon, Draculunmon, Drac's girlfriend, Clip, her Digimon, Nejmamon, Kat's friend, Will, and his Digimon, Groulmon."

"Kat's friend?" Mom asked.

I looked at Will. "When I first came to the Digital World I was a little surprised by some of the things there, and wasn't doing well. Kat-chan stood out as a motherly figure at the time, so I started keeping by her side. When we got back to the real world, she and I were the best of friends."

"To show for that matter," Groulmon started. "Kat-chan asked for a friend to be brough while she was in the World of Light. The friend she chose was Will-chan."

Mom smiled. "Kat is a very sweet girl, but she has a temper. She's also an action girl."

"I know. I've lived with her for seventeen years." Drac grumbled. We all laughed.

"Mine telling us old people what you young kids are up to, other than no good." Dad laughed.

"We're getting energy for our job, as Kat no doubt told you." I said.

"She told us something about that. And she was on the news." Mom said thoughtfully.

"Yeah. I know. She pissed off Magna Angemon when she did that. He said she should be dead in the World of Darkness." Clip laughed. My gang laughed with her. We had been there when Magna Angemon had exploded over the whole thing.

"Do you guys want something to eat, or maybe drink?" My mom asked.

"I..." Drac started when I shoot him a look. "We should really be going. We have a job to do, after all."

I stood and my group followed suit. "It was nice talking to you all again, mom, dad." I nodded to them and led my group down the hall, out the house, and to the plant.

When we got there I said I'd stay outside to see if I could find the portal. When the others were in I sat in the grass and cried. Midoki Betamon hopped over. "What's wrong, James?"

"I'll never see them again. At least if I do, they won't remember. Gennai said that the time change will affect everything drastically. He said that we may not survive it, at least not with our memory. I don't think I can stand losing them again. I don't think I can stand it." My D-terminal beeped and I looked at it. "They found the portal, it's inside. Let's go." I regained my composure and followed Midoki Betamon to the others.

We all stepped through the portal and found ourselves facing our friends in the speech room. We were back in the Digital World. Yukio stepped over to us. "You got back just in time. Earth just underwent it's first backwards jump through time. It's no longer safe for any of you to be there." He turned away.

I stood and glared at his back. "Yukio-sama! What about my daughter?!" I called to him.

Yukio turned to look at me. "Gennai tells me she will be safe there. She's in a time-proof shelter. She will not change. Gennai wants to speak to your group, now that you are back. Take the door on your right out. You'll meet him there." He turned back around and walked away. What I wouldn't have given to kill him right then. He'd just acted like my daughter was nothing!

Drac pulled my arm and we followed the Digimon to meet Gennai. We bowed to him and followed him to his home. "Each of you are welcome to food or anything in this house. I will call you in one at a time to speak with you. What I tell you is for your ears only. If I find out any of you has told this information to anyone, I'll deal with you myself. James!" I swallowed as I followed him, alone. Midoki Betamon could not come with me now.

We entered a nice room with white curtains and walls. There were two yellow chairs. Gennai sat in one and motioned for me to sit in the other. "Your daugther is safe right now, both of them, in fact." Gennai started.

"M-M-Melan-Melanie?!" I couldn't help but whisper.

"Yes, Melanie. Both will be meeting soon, and you and Drac will be there. But that's not what I need to talk to you about. I need to give you your instructions for when the world is changed. Each of you is to report to a different place. Each place is where you will wait out the storm as time goes flying by. You will be in your own home with Drac. The place will be abandoned at the time, since time has already left your wife behind."

"Atrai. She won't be able to see Melanie." I felt like crying again.

"No doubt she will, just not this time. Don't worry, your whole family should be reunited again, after all this is over. At least, if my calculations are correct." Gennai said with a thin smile. "Now go party with your group as I speak with Midoki Betamon."

"Will Midoki Betamon be with me when the time storm hits?"

"I'm not sure, James. It's up to him." Gennai said. I nodded and allowed him to lead me out into the main room. He called in Midoki Betamon as I sat down.

Drac walked over. "What's wrong dad?"

"I can't tell you."

"Are you afraid of that old man?!"

I looked up into my son's eyes. "Aren't you?"

His eyes widened. "Now I am." He whispered and walked away, telling the others to let me be.

I stared at my hands, remembering when we lost Melanie, Kat's twin sister.

:~Flashback~:

"We need to go, James! He knows who we are now!" Atrai screamed.

I turned to Drac. "Come on! Grab your sister!" I grabbed Drac's hand and we ran down the street. Running from the king who hated us because we weren't of his world. A portal opened before us and we jumped through, leaving Melanie behind.

:~End Flashback~: *I didn't know Drac hadn't grabbed her! I thought he had! I wonder what happened.* Midoki Betamon came out and sat in my lap. Neither of us said a word.

I found dad's parents, even though there were like, lots of secrets covering the truth!
I thought I'd never meet them! They're pretty cool and all, and I wish mom and dad hadn't fought with them.
They asked that I send dad and Drac-chan a note, asking them to talk. I did, and now I can only hope they do so!

Part Seven
Katrania's POV

I woke up to a slight hum, coming from the computer. I hopped out of my cot and turned it on. "What's up?"

"You asked me to find a name for myself." The computer told my in that voice of his, which was really starting to annoy me.

"Yeah." I mumbled, as I sat down to eat some of the food that Katmon-chan had found yesterday.

"I've had a name, it just never occurred to me to tell it to you."

I shot my head up in surprise. "Spit it." I told the computer.

"I'm not able to spit, Kat." The computer replied.

I groaned. "You dummy. I meant tell me."

"So say that next time instead of 'spit it,' Kat. My name is Gennai. I believe you've met me as Gennai-sama."

"Gennai-sama!?" I cried in surprise.

"Hai, Gennai-sama. Do you feel better knowing I am a human?"

"Don't you mean humon." I grumbled.

"That too. I've also got something else to tell you, since it concerns you the most."

"Shoot."

"At what?"

I groaned again. "Tell me."

"Oh. I've invited a Princess to this lab, from another world. Her world isn't naturally in our alliance, but I thought they should be in on this, since their world is in as much danger as all the others."

"Oh... Which world?"

"Darkness." Came the blunt reply.

"WHAT??!!" I shouted.

"I'm sure she is a very nice girl, Kat. Just give her a chance."

"Nai! I'm not housing the Princess of Darkness! Forget it!"

"Just this once. It would mean a lot to her, me, and her world. One of your crests is Kindness."

"Hai. But the other is Light. We're exact opposites, Gennai-sama! I don't want her here!"

"Meet with her. I'll let you see your brother and father, but only if you meet with her. If you don't like her then, I'll keep her in the Digital World, with me."

"Agreed." I said and stuffed a wild strawberry into my mouth.

Katmon: Neither did I, until a few seconds ago!
Reader: Why is Gennai a computer?
Katmon: Because I felt like making him one.
Reader: Why did he bring the World of Darkness into this?
Katmon: Because I was bored.
Reader: Why were you bored?
Katmon: What's with all the questions?!
Reader: What questions? O.o
Katmon: -_-*

I'm leaving it at that. We'll all meet Melanie in part eight, and the Princess.
On to other things, the reason I did two part sevens was because I wanted to give you an idea of what Kat was going through at this time, as well as one of the others. It was between James and Jon, and James won. Part eight will be fun! ^_~
