Digimon Watchers: The New Adventure

Dracel Monstrie was dragging his little sister down the street. Katrania struggled with her older brother. Drac! Let go! I can walk you know! Katrania whined, not stopping her struggle to get out of her brothers tight grip.

Stop struggling, Kat! People are staring! Drac told his sister.

Then let go of my arm, asshole. Kat grumbled. Drac suddenly let go. While most would have fallen, Kat was able to keep her balance. She was said to have the grace of a cat, hence her nick name. Thank you! She said, a grin forming on her face.

A bunch of banging came from a near by alley. Kat looked as they walked by. A dirty old man was rumaging through a dumpster. Something told Kat to keep going, but something else pulled toward the man. She walked up. He flipped around, black eyes glimmering. Do you have any food, miss? He questioned Kat.

Im sorry. I dont.

Do you have money?

No.

May I have your hat, pretty lady?

Kat put a hand to her head. It was her fave hat, she never went anywhere without it. I-I-I...

Drac came up behind her and grabbed her arm. Come on. How many times do I have to tell you? Dont talk to strangers. He grumbled as he dragged her away from the dirty man. He didnt see Kat throw her hat to the homeless man.

~:~

He picked it up. Shes the one, Arula.

Is there an address in the hat?

Yes. North Avenue... Wheres that?

A woman decked out in red and black stepped from the shadows. Her black eyes glimmered hatefully at the girl and boy down the street. Where were going next, Jarn. That little brat is the prefect target. She laughed wickedly as the man grinned.

~:~

Hello, Atrai Monstrie said as she opened the door of her house. May I help you, miss? She asked the tall woman before her.

Is this the residence of Katrania Monstrie?

Yes, Atrai said carefully. *What has she done this time?!*

I found her hat near a garbage dumpster. Is she home? The woman asked.

Atrai sighed, happy her youngest wasnt in more trouble. No. Im afraid she isnt. Would you like me to have her give you a call?

Yes. Here is her hat and my number. The woman said, handing Atrai a hat and a slip of paper.

May I ask a name?

Arula Monroe. The woman replied, already half-way down the walk. Tell her to call soon. Atrai blinked and the woman was gone.

Tenchia Karai sat in class, twirling her writing tool. *I want to go home. I cant wait! Holiday weekend! I can write Katmon.* A tap on the window next to her made her jerk her head up in surprise. A small tan colored puppy sat there, grinning. Karai smiled at her little Digimon, Plotmon. Her friend poked her in the shoulder excitedly. She looked up at her teacher.

...And since each of you have uptained an English speaking friend and have been keeping up with them, we are going to go to a trip to a few of the areas they live in. America and England. If you can, tell them well be traveling to Washington D.C. and London in a few days. Well stay there till the end of the holiday and come back the day before school starts back up. Ill let up know our flight and everything else the day we leave, before, if I can.

The class let out a cheer. *Katmon lives in D.C! I might be able to see her!* Karai thought as she and her best human friend, Daiho Iroi, hugged for joy. Then she caught sight of Plotmon at the window, still grinning, and her heart fell. She couldnt take her friend! Plotmon and Mushmon cant come, Iroi. She whispered to her fellow Digidestined.

Irois face fell. Youre right, they cant. Kuso! I wanted Jay-Jay Bird and Mushmon to meet. Where will they stay?

In the DigiWorld. Well still be able to see them. Well just have to be more careful.

As long as I can still see her Ill be okay.

Good. I dont need a grump sitting next to me the first half of the trip! The two girls grinned and waved at the little monster at the window. Plotmon smiled again and ran home.

~England~

William Pretigue was walking home, a puppy jogging by his side. You want me to carry you, Groulmon? He asked the puppy. The puppy shook its head and continued jogging. William shrugged. *If Groulmon doesnt want a ride, fine with me.*

Wills friend ran up. Will, new puppy? Think your parents ill let you keep im?

Dont know. Hope so. Groulmon and I like each other.

Wait, you already named it?!

He said that was his name! Wil cried in defiance of the little puppy beside him.

Whatever. His friend said, walking away.

Ill prove you can talk, Groulmon. I dont care whatthey say. I know you can talk, and thats what counts.

~Digital World~

The two men sat on the Airdramon, silent. A Digimon sat beside one. Jonathan Granarma knelt down beside his Digimon and whispered in its ear. The Airdramon changed direction.

I thought we were going to twenty-seven. James Monstrie said to his friend.

I decided were going to ten. Jonathan shot back.

Fine then. But Im deciding next time. James grumped.

Shut up, baby. Jonathan growled.

Now, Jon. Weve been friends for... James started.

I know, thirty-nine years. We shouldnt fight because were trapped here. We need to get along. Jon finished.

Exactly, old friend! James called.

Jon sighed. James had been saying that for thirty of those years, ever since they had found each to be a Digidestined. Fine. Im sorry for saying shut up.

And Im sorry for grumbling. Airdramon is your Digimon, after all.

The two men rode off into the sunset, not even noticing the Rosemon watching them. She grinned. I did promise War Greymon and Metal Garurumon Id keep an eye on them. She told herself and followed the two brown haired men.

~America~

The door banged as the two Monstries walked in. Mom, were home! Drac called.

Atrai walked out of the kitchen. Kat! Get back down here!

*God! What did I do this time?* Kat walked over to her mother. Her mother held up her hat and Kat jumped for joy. My hat! Where was it?!

A nice lady came by and said you lost it. She left her number and a name. Atrai handed her desperate daughter the hat. Call her. She said, handing Kat the slip of paper.

Kat snatched both hat and paper, then went flying up the stair to use her private phone line. That way her brother couldnt listen in on her conversation. She slammed her door shut and picked up her phone, throwing herself on her bed and her hat on her head. She dialed the number and waited.

Ring...

Ring...

Ri- Hello?

Hello. This is Katrania Monstrie. You found my hat.

Yes, dear. I remember. White, with an orange ring around the center.

Yeah! Thats it! You said you wanted me to call you.

Oh, of course! Would you like to come over? Me house gets lonely sometimes, and it would be nice to talk to a real human being again!

Err... Im not sure... Kat said reluctantly, that feeling back in her stomach.

Whats not to be sure about? I dont bite! Or do you?

Kat giggled. Ill come! Just, I dont know your address.

Its on that paper I gave your mom. That was was your mom, right?

Yeah. She probably thought I was in more trouble.

Do you get in a lot of trouble?

Not on purpose!

Humph... Well have to do something about that.

Kat giggled some more. Ill be right over. She hung up the phone.

Kat ran down the stairs. Mom, Im going to Vins house! She ran out the front door and grabbed her bike from the side of the house. Then she hopped on and flew down the hill.

~:~

Drac watched the girl fly down the street. A white ball rolled over to his feet. I should follow her. He said quietly.

Why? What did she do this time? The little ball asked.

Drac continued looking down the street where hes little sister had just disappeared. Its not something she did exactally, but I just dont trust the person she is going to visit.

Isnt she going to Vins?

No. I wish that was the story, but it isnt. Shes going to a strangers house.

Why? Why didnt your mother stop her?

The lady found her hat. She told mom a lie about where she was going.

She WHAT?! A lie! You got to be kidding me! She cant lie! Its impossibe for her to lie! The ball said, unbelieving.

She can and she will lie. She has many times in the past, but just covers it up so well. Shall we ask Clip and Clifmon to come too?

Ill get the bag, you deal with them. The ball said and rolled back to the bushes. A mumble came from the bushes and Drac walked over to them. He picked up a soccer ball bag and walked next door to get his fellow Digimon Watcher. That is what Clip and himself called themselves, Watchers, for short.

The door opened when he knocked. Clip looked out at him, then saw the bag. Get the bikes. Ill get Clifmon. She said, tossing him the keys to the bike shed. Then she shut the door as he ran to the back.

They met in the front. Dont ask. Kat is up to no good.

Why bring the ball and the toy then? The ball was what they called Dracmon, Dracs Digimon. The toy was what they called Clifmon, Clips Digimon. Clip was Clifelra Jhorns nick name, the Monstries next door neighbor.

Drac shrugged. I dont know. It just seemed like a good idea. Lets go. They hopped on the bikes and rode down the hill, following Kats course.

~:~

The kitten sniffed her hand, then jumped up onto her shoulder. Kat stood up. You wanna come with me to Arulas house, little kitten? The cat dug her claws into Kats shoulder. YOWCH!! You little monster! Why did you do that?

Drac and Clip rode up. Back home. NOW! Drac yelled at his sister.

Kat turned to him, Kitten still on her shoulder. Im going to Vins house. Mom said I could. Kat said defiently, dispite the claws in her flesh.

Drac turned beet red, angry. He was about to yell when Clip stepped in. Now Kat, dont lie to me. I know you better than that. Is that cat hurting you?

Kat nodded. She turned to the kitten. Im guessing you want me to go home.

Well done, Kat! Im proud of you for figuring that out! The little cat said.

Drac and Clip giggled at the look on Kats face. It-it-it... It talked! She said, amazed, yet half expecting that.

They do from time to time. Drac said, regaining his composure.

They?

Erm... Maybe this isnt the best place for this. My house. My parents arent home. Clip intercepted. Kat nodded and the three got on their bikes.

~Japan~

Im sorry you two, but this means staying in the DigiWorld. Ishioudai Kaiyaman told the two desperate Digimon.

But...

Plotmon! I dont want to leave you there either! But at least youll have Mushmon for company. Karai tried again.

Why not send them right before you leave then? Tenchia Rou told his elder sister and her best friend.

Hai! The two Digimon cried out.

The Digidestined group sighed. Rou had a good point. If they did that, it would be easier on all of them. As long as its not a long good-bye Ill be happy. Karai sighed.

Theres no such thing as good-bye. Dai said softly.

Karai grinned at her best friend. Good thing youre right.

Dai smiled. Hai. Good thing. Mushmon rubbed up against her legs.

Now thats over. Lets all go to the DigiWorld! Digi Port open! Jeronai Zairo shouted and was sucked into the computer before them, Snowagumon by his side.

And follow! Rou shouted, following with Taprimon. Karai, Plotmon, Kai, Candlemon, Dai, and Mushmon followed them to the DigiWorld.

~England~

Will sat on his front porch, Groulmon at his side. His parent had said he could keep the puppy, if he took care of it. Will looked at the stars. I wish I could go to a different world. One where everyone liked me and I was aloud to do anything I wanted. He whispered.

Groulmon looked up at the lonely little boys face. *There isnt a place like that, Will. Not since the Digidestined disappeared. I wish there was.* Groulmon looked back up at the stars, wondering if he would ever see his home again.

~Digital World~

What the? Jon whispered, sitting up. He had heard voices. He looked up at his companion.

James looked down at his alert companion. He put a finger to his lips, his face hidden in the shadows of the tree house. Theyre back. He whispered. Then the older man turned back to the people walking upon the ground. Jon joined him at the edge.

Drat that bitch and her brother! I could have had one of the Digidestined! A tall, dark woman raged under the tree.

Cool it, Arulamon! Well get her at school tomorrow. Her brother wont be there to protect her then! The shorter man said, an evil tint to his voice.

Jarnmon, you surprise me with your genius sometimes! Arulamon cackled, changeing from her more human form to her Digimon form. The man did the same, laughing wickidly. The two ran off into the near by forest.

A new group of Digidestined are born? Jon asked the older man.

I guess. I wonder who they are. James said quietly.

Who knows. I just hope its not Thom. Jon whispered, a tear on his cheek as he thought about his lost family. God I miss them.

James knelt beside the crying man, tears in his eyes too. His family passed by in his mind. Atrai, Dracel, Katrania. *God, I miss them.* He thought as he and Jon comforted each other. *All we have left is each other now. Thats way we must stay together.* He thought.

~:~

As the two men cried, a beautiful woman looked down on them. Her mid-back length brown-red hair fluttered in the wind. A tear roled down her own cheek as she thought of the family she could never see again. Her daughter and son ran through her thoughts. *Please, let them have the chance I will never have. Let them see their families again.* She pleaded silently.

A light rain started. Echoing the tears of the two trapped humans, and the one immortal soul. Their prayers flew up to the ears of heaven.

It rained harder.

~America~

A yell flew from the garden. THOM!! Thomar Granarma looked up from the book he was reading at the sound of his mother.

*She probably found another snake.* Thom thought as he got up and walked out the side door of their small home. *I wish dad was still around.* He thought as he rounded the corner to find his mother, on her chair, poking at a little green garden snake. Mom! Stop poking it. Its only a baby. He called as he walked over.

The snake looked up at the sound of his voice. It saw him and slithered over. Thom forgot that snakes couldnt hear and picked up the little guy. He looked up at his mom, pleading, as the snake slithered on to his shoulders and stayed there, hanging losely about his shoulders. The snake looked up as the older woman hopped down from her snake chair as she called it.

If you want to keep him you know the rules. Now scat. I have work to do. She said, kneeling before the bean plant.

Thanks mom! Thom cried as he walked back inside, the snake about his neck. The garden was where they got their food from. Thoms mom was vegieterian, so all they ate was the plants in their home garden. The money his mom brought home was only enough for the bills and maybe clothing. It was hard with one parent.

Thoms father had died in a plane crash a few years ago. No traces of his body had been found, so there was always the hope that he was still alive, but if so, where had he been all those years. Thom and his mother were starting to lose hope that he would ever return.

Did your mom find another snake? Vivan Aragler asked. She was their next door neighbor.

Yeah. But look at how tame he is. What you doing, Vin? Thom returned.

Nothin much. What ya gonna name im?

Dont know. I gotta get back inside, you know how mom is about snakes. Thom said, heading back inside.

C ya. Im sure hes still okay. Just, dont lose your hope, its the only thing that is keeping him from dying. At least you can hope. Vin called, a tear in her eye.

Thom turned around and went back to the fence in between their houses. Thanks. He whispered. Vin had always told him to keep hoping his father would one day return. Her mother couldnt, she had died bringing Vin into the world. Vin had always leaned on Thom, making sure he didnt lose his hope. He was forever thankful to her.

Welcome. She whispered. You better take your new snake inside, before your mom catches you. The girl turned to go back inside, her golden blond hair flying around in a circle. She went up her steps, her shoulders shaking.

Dont cry, Vin. She would hate to see you cry. He called to her.

The girl twirled back around, tearstains on her face, a smile pulling at her full lips. Her blue eyes twinkled. Thanks, snake boy. She whispered to the retreating form, snake around his neak. Thanks. She turned and went inside her home.

~:~

Digimon?!

Thats what were called. The three on the table said. The black cat, Katmon, hopped into her lap. The other two, a white ball and an over-sized screw, were the only way she could describe them, stayed on the table, looking up at her. Their expressions mirrored those of Drac and Clip.

And your call yourselves that because...

Its short for Digital Monster, Kat. Im your friend, right? Little Katmon asked.

Of course! Im just a little shocked by all this information! Who knew?!

Other than us?

Yeah.

We dont know. We arent even sure if there are more Digimon Watchers out there. Drac told his little sister.

Oh. Okay. I need to go take a nap. Come on, Katmon. Lets go see if mom will let me keep you. Kat said and the two left the house.

Clip turned to Drac. What do you think?

I think... Im not sure, she didnt do or say what I expected her to.

I know what you mean. Either shes grown up without us noticing, or theres something wrong. Clip said. The four in the room sat in silence, trying to figure out the newest Digimon Watcher.

~:~

Alright! Tenshi wrote me! Kat paused and read the e-mail from her online friend. Shes coming to Washington! The girl said and danced around the room, picking the Digimon off her bed.

Who?

My friend! She lives in Japan. Her and her class are coming to America! Theyre staying in D.C, right next door to our home! The girl continued to dance around the room.

I thought Clip lived next to us. Katmon said quietly.

Oh. She does. Washington D.C. is the capital city of the U.S.A, where we live. D.C. is really close to here. We live in a suburb. So, I kinda call it a next door neighbor!

Weird. Do you think you can trust her?

Kat paused, closing her green eyes. When she opened them again they were blue. I think so. I feel I can. I wont give her my address, but Ill ask her where and when shes coming in though! Kat said, flippin around and punching at the keyboard vigoriously. Katmon sighed.

Who you talking to? Drac asked from the door.

Shes online! Kat called out, slightly surprised.

Who?

Kat turned and glared at her older brother. Tenshi. Now go away. The younger girl turned back to the computer screen, her eyes reading the letters of a new message. Two days?! She shrieked suddenly, making both human and Digmon jump.

Kat, Katmon called softly. Kat turned around. Dont do that again! Youll kill me to death! Little Katmon growled.

The two humans giggled. Sorry. It surprised me too. Tenshi is gonna be here in two days, at... Her voice trailed off as she reread the message. Oh. At Dulles. Gate 5. She turned back around. Think mom will let us meet her there?

Go ask. Drac said, walking down the hall.

Kat poped out into the hall. Somethin wrong? She asked her brothers back.

Drac flipped around. Im just not sure I trust your judgment on people.

I trust Tenshi. Kat said, turning her back to her older brother, her face flushed.

You trusted that woman too.

Kat turned around and glared at her brother. And we are still not sure what the deal was. Anyway, I-I wasnt too sure about trusting her, something told me not to. The same with that guy. A tear fell down the girls face, her blue eyes a lighter color than before. And I-I-I... I had hoped it was dad. She whispered and sat down in the middle of the hall, crying softly, hands over her face.

Dracs face softened and he walked to where his little sister was crying. He knelt down beside her, pulling her into his arms. She cluched his shirt tightly, crying into it. Hush little kitten. Hush. He whispered to her. He had started calling her little kitten after their parents had divorced. Kat had taken it the hardest of them all, maybe it was because she didnt know why the two adults had broken up. But he had always felt she knew.

Their mother had caught their father cheating on her, but with whom, she didnt know. He was repeatedly late coming home. One night he didnt come home at all, so she called his job, his excuse for always being late, and found that his boss had never kept him late, like hed said. When their father had come home that morning, he had found his wife and eldest still up. The shock on his face when his wife had said they were getting a divorce had blasted a hole through little Kats heart, who was hiding on the stairs. She had run up the stairs, crying.

Atrai had told her husband to get out of her house, he had done enough damage to their family. He had left, ever a loving look in his eyes, and I had gone to check on Kat. She had locked herself in her room, refusing to eat anything unless her father gave it to her. Two weeks she snuck out in the middle of the night, while the others were asleep, to get food and/or water. Then the divorcement papers were signed, and Kat gave up hope. She came out of her room to say her final good-bye to her father, and had stayed downstairs after he left. It was amazing how thin she had gotten, and she has never really gained that weight back, but is still a perfectly healthy girl, on the track team at school and everything.

What had always pained Drac the most about when their father had left was how Kat had cried the whole time, the look on his fathers face as he drove away, and the way Kat was no longer the joyful little girl he had grown up loving. They had never seen their father again, and Drac would never forgive him for that tragic time, the time they were still in.

~Digital World~

James was watching the sunrise, wondering how his family was. He remembered those last days.

~Flashback~

He walked in the front door, a small smile on his face. He was thinking about the DigiWorld, and jumped when he heard her angry voice. Where were you this time, James? At work, at a bar, with a new girlfriend?! He looked up at his wife, anger written all over her face, their son, Dracel, behind her.

I dont understand. He whispered.

Dont understand! You werent at work, I called and asked! You werent at Jons, he is on another trip! So where the hell were you?!

Atrai, Dracel... He tried.

Answer the damned question, James!

I cant tell you where I was. You wouldnt understand. He whispered, his face sad. *How could she understand the DigiWorld?*

She stomped up to him, a hand raised. So. I wont understand. Lets see if you understand this! She smacked him in the face, twice, her face red with anger. I want a divorce, James. She whispered to the man before her. The man gasped out, in a mixture of pain and confusion.

A little voice burst out crying and a fleeting form ran up the stairs. *Katrania.* He thought sadly. He turned back to the angry woman before him.

Get out of this house. Youve already done enough damage to this family. She growled, throwing him out. As he left, he watched the looks on their faces. Atrai looked hurt and angry. Dracel, scared, and mad. Katrania stood at her bedroom window, staring down on him, her face filled with love and sadness. The only one who cared.

~:~

When he had heard what Katrania had done to herself, he decided it was time to say good-bye.

When he had arrived at the house, Dracel opened the door, Katrania stood on the stairs. When she saw him she ran over to him, knowing how little chance there was that she would ever see him again. They hugged, and even Dracel looked hurt by his father leaving. He turned to the boy, only ten. Dracel, I want you to take care of your mom and sister for me. You think you can do that?

Aye, aye, Captain. The boy whispered. They had always pretended that they were shipmates, and dad got to be the captain. Tears in all eyes, even Atrais, he left, pain in his heart.

When he got in the car, he drove away, never looking back, Midokibetamon at his side. Neither said anything. He drove on.

~End Flashback~

*Oh, God. I wish I had never left them.*

~America~

She ran into class, just before the bell ran. Kat tossed her junkinto her desk, placing her purse next to her seat, on the floor, more carefully. She leaned down and whispered an apology to it.

Thom, sitting in front of her, laughed. What you got in your purse this time, Kat?

She looked up, blushing slightly. A feeling in her stomach said she could tell him about Katmon. Its just Katmon. She whispered as the teacher came in. Then she looked up at their teacher, giggling at the look on Thoms face.

Di-did you s-say K-K-Katmon?! He whispered.

Kat pretended to drop her pencil. Who do you have?

How... Granmon. He replied, searching for the pen he had really dropped.

As their teacher started around the classroom to check homework, Kat sat up, acidentally bumping into his head. Lunch. She whispered as the teacher came near, and sat up.

Thomar! What are you doing? Mr. James Dogul asked his student.

Lookin for my pen, Mr. Dogul. Thom replied, amid mists of laughter.

Borrow one from Kat. I dont need you on the floor. Mr. Dogul said sternly as he passed their desks.

Yes, sir. Thom called and sat in his seat, hand out for a pen from Kat. Mr. Doo-Doo. He mumbled, using the kids nick name for their teacher, making Kat giggle as she handed him her pen.

~:~

At lunch Kat said she needed to use the bathroom to Vin and joined Thom at the back exit, where they had agreed to meet through notes. As she got close, she let Katmon out of the bag. When they meet up, Thom had Granmon out.

Where did you learn bout Digimon, Kat? Thom asked as they looked at each others Digimon friends.

Kat looked him in the eyes, her cool green eyes unnerving him. My brother and next door neighbor each have one. All I know I learned from them or Katmon. What bout you.

My mom found Granmon while she was gardening and flipped. I came out, got him, and took him inside. He only let it be known what he was when we werent anywhere near other humans. Flipped me out.

Katmon told me in the middle of a street, when Drac and Clip rode up to me.

I want to meet Drac, Clip, and their Digimon.

After school. Ill call him later. Lets get some food. Im starved!

Hum. Me too! The two laughed as they headed to the lunch room, putting the two Digimon back. Katmon in Kats purse. Granmon in Thoms binder.

When they walked into the lunch room, Kat stopped and grabbed Thoms arm, tightly. He looked to see what had scared her. Vin was talking to two adults, a man and woman. They all looked up and saw them. He looked at Kat, she was pale.

Kat turned to Thom. We need to get out of here. She whispered, the fear in her voice overpowering him. They ran back to their classroom, Kat opened the door and they ran in, slamming the door behind them.

Who... Thom started.

Bad people. They want to hurt me, though I know not why. Kat whispered.

Kat. Sweetheart. Whats wrong? A womans voice asked from the other side of the door.

Kat paled even more. Thom joined her. The man was at the windows, and neither had the courage to go shut the windows. He climbed in. Whats wrong Kat? Dont you remember me? He asked.

The two children ran away from the door. The man opened the door, letting the woman in. Both children felt a feeling of dread wash over them. Come here children. Will you introduce us to your friend, Kat? The woman asked, coming closer.

Go away. Kat said, her voice even. Thom wondered how she managed to do that.

Now, Kat... The man started, when the two Digimon jumped before their humans.

Shit! Theyve got em already. The woman growled, changing shape.

Theyre... Digimon! Kat cried, her voice losing its calm tone.

Yes! The woman hissed as she and the man completed their changes. Arulamon and Jarnmon. And you two, Destined brats, will die! The woman said, her eyes glinting dangerously. Sphital Ball! She cried, a shining ball glowing in her palms.

KATMON! Kat shrieked in fear.

Katmon, digivolve to... Sphinxmon! Sphinxmon stopped the attack, protecting the two humans, despite her small size. She was now the size of a full grown cat, still black with her blue eyes. Flashin Scratch! She cried, flinging her paws about. The two Digimon were pushed back by the attack.

Help her, Granmon! I called.

Granmon, digivolve to... Cobramon! He was the size of a full grown cobra, fangs and neck things included. Poison Spray! The bigger Digimon called, liquid flying out of his fangs and hitting the two enemies.

Arulamon and Jarnmon colapsed in a heap on the floor, or Digimon returned to their other forms, exausted. Kat stepped up to Katmon and picked her up, as did Thom. You were great! You get a sundae when we get home. She said, smiling.

Katmon looked up into the light blue, almost white, eyes. Does that come with a nap? She asked.

Kat and Thom chuckled. Kat nodded and put the Digimon in her bag. Then she turned to her friend. Skip?

He nodded. I wouldnt do it, except that these two have unnerved me. Where shall we go?

Clips family aint home, and I have a key to her house. Dont ask, its a long story. Well go there. She stood. Bring your bike?

Yeah. Lets go. They left.

~Two Days Later~
~Early Morning~

Get up, sleepy head! You promised! Kat yelled at Drac. Katmon jumped up on Dracs bed and pawed his nose.

Im up! Drac cried, Katmon jumping down seconds before he sat up.

Good! Were leaving soon. Kat called as she and Katmon left Dracs room.

Drac got up and changed, thinking about the cat-type Digimon following his sister. *She can digivolve. Granmon can digivolve. Yet our Digimon cant. Wonder why.* He looked to where his digimon reasted peacefully on his bed and woke him up. He stuffed the Digimon in the bag and the two went downstairs.

Come on, slowpoke! Eat up! Kat called, dancing around the living room, Katmon following her. The two ran upstairs.

Drac sat and ate his egg, thinking about why he had agreed to go with his sister to see her friend. *I have to make sure this girl is okay. I remember what happened last time.*

Drac and Clip had done some deep research on Arulamon and Jarnmon. Both were ultimates. The two were getting stronger, no doubt, and the two who could digivolve, only went to champions. The other two were rookies. Two rookies and two champions werent going to get them very far against two ultimates.

Kat bound down the stairs, a bag on her back. Katmons upstairs, sleepin on my bed. She explained to their mother when she shot her youngest a questioning look.

Fine. We should get going if shes going to be there soon. Their mom said, walking towards the door. Kat followed her closely. Drac was last out and locked the door.

~:~

By the time they got to the airport, and Gate 5, Tenshis flight was in. Kat ran forward to see if Tenshi was off yet, not like she could tell. A group of Japanese kids got off and grouped together. An older man got off and joined them, to call roll.

Kat saw a girl in the crowd of kids that felt, in the pit of her stomach, like Tenshi, and a Digimon Watcher.

~:~

Karai looked at all the Americans, looking for one with a white fisher hat. She saw a girl, watching their group, a odd look on her face, with the hat Katmon had explained. She watched the girl. Not paying attention to the teacher calling role.

Someone nudged her in the ribs and she jerked up her head. Tenchia Karai, The teacher called again.

Karai blushed, wishing she had been paying attention. Kiteiru, Otaya-san. She called out.

He flashed her a smile and a look that said, Pay attention next time. and went back to calling role. She decided to pay attention from then on.

When he finished the role, he looked up at them. If any of you think you might see your penpal, go meet them. He called out.

Karai walked over to the girl she had seen earlier. Katmon? She asked.

Yes. You must be Tenshi. Im delighted to meet you. Katmon said, offering her hand.

Karai gave her hand to the girl. Hai, Im Tenshi, but call me Karai.

They shook hands. Call me Kat. Its not my full name, but its what everyone calls me. She looked behind her, and gestured to to other people, a young man and an older lady. This is my mom, Atrai, and my brother, Drac. She said, pointing both out.

Is this your penpal, Karai? Otaya-san asked from behind her.

She turned to her teacher. Hai. This is Kat and her family. Karai explained.

He turned to Atrai. If its alright with you miss, Im allowing the students to stay with there penpals and their families. You can house Karai, if its not too much trouble.

The two girls turned to Atrai with pleading eyes. The woman sighed. I think we can house her, if Kat will allow her friend to stay in her room. The woman turned to her daughter, who was nodding vigorously. She looked back up at the teacher. Sure. Will keep her.

Arigatou. That means less money.

You are very welcome. Atrai said, a kind smile on her face, and lead the gang away.

~England~

Dai stood looking for her penpal with some of the other students in her class. A young boy walked over. Dai? He questioned.

Brown? She returned, be as cautious as usual.

Im Brown, but you can call me Will. My parents are over there. He pointed towards an older man and woman.

My teacher says that if its okay with the parents of our penpals, we can say at their house. Dai said, hoping to get to stay with the young boy. She didnt like the idea of staying in a hotel room without anyone to talk to.

Then come on, we put a guest room together, just in case. He said, his face shining.

Cool! Thanks. She said, giving a class mate a tumbs-up, and then following the boy to his parents.

~Digital World~

How are those two doing? A quiet voice asked the woman.

They are fine. Still sad, but they havent had any direct run-ins with anyone. The woman returned, her red-brown eyes glittering.

A man with wild brown hair came out from the shadows, followed by a blond. Lets keep it that way. The first man said, his voice deeper than the one who had spoken first.

Of course. The woman said and changed into Rosemon. She flew away.

I dont like this, Taichi. The blond said in a softer voice. I wish we could find him. He may be in danger.

Its not our job to find him. Its theirs. Theyll lead us to him when they meet up with the others. Then theyll have more work to do. We cant help them, Yamato. All we can do is make sure they can meet up with the others, and thats Mimis job. Yagami Taichi said to Ishida Yamato, just as worried about their missing companion. *I wish he hadnt run off like that.* Taichi thought as he and Yamato walked back into the shadows.

~:~

A scream went up miles away. A man with indigo colored hair tried to keep from giving in to the pain. A large Digimon laughed as the man screamed again. Tears ran from the mans purple eyes. *Kami-sama. Why did I ever leave?* He thought as another scream burst from his mouth.

The Digimon laughed as he left the cell, Ichijouji Ken falling to the floor, tears still covering his cheeks. Miyako... He whispered, before he blacked out. A being inside him cried out in pain as it reverted to a lower form.

Be strong, Ken. Wormmon whispered, right before he fainted from both pain and weakness.

An angel cried, wishing it could help the man and mon.

~America~

The two girls sat on Kats bed, talking. Katmon stepped into the room and hopped onto Kats lap.

Who... Karai stared at the Digimon in amazment. *Kats a Digidestined?!*

This is Katmon. Whos your Digimon? Kat asked, not seeming surprised that Karai knew about Digimon.

Plotmon. How-how did you know? Karai asked.

Kat shrugged. The way you reacted. And I get a feeling when Im around Digimon Watchers.

Who?

Digimon Watchers. Its what we call ourselves.

You mean there are more?!

Hai! Drac! Kat shouted.

Drac peeked his head around Kats room door. Hum?

Wheres Dracmon?

Kat!"

We call ourselves Digidestined in Japan. But I think Digimon Watchers is a cool name too. Karai broke in.

You-you-you have a Digimon?! Drac asked in amazment.

Hai. Her name is Plotmon. I miss her. Shes in the DigiWorld. Karai said sadly.

The DigiWorld?! The other two humans cried in unison.

Hai. Whats wrong?

Weve never been able to get to the DigiWorld. Kat explained as Drac walked downstairs.

Where is Drac going? Karai asked.

To go get Clip. I need to call Thom. Kat said, getting off her bed and picking up her phone.

Who? Karai asked as she got up and leaned against the wall near Kat as Kat dialed the number.

Thom. Hes one of the Digidestined around here. So is Clip, for that matter. Kat said, ear to the phone. Hello. Sorry to bother you, Mrs. Granarma, but is Thom home? There was a pause.

Hey, Thom. Wanna come over? Weve found a way to get to the DigiWorld. She waited a few seconds, then hung up. Hes on his way. Kat said and sat on the bed.

Drac walked into the room, Clip following. The two Digimon followed them. Drac already explained the situation. Did you call Thom? Clip said.

Called him a few seconds ago. He should be here soon. Kat explained.

A knock came from downstairs. The door opened and a bit of talking commenced. Kat! Your friend Thom is here! Atrai called.

Let him up mom! Kat called down.

Thom appeared at the top of the stairs. What the... He was watching Karai petting the Digimon on Kats bed.

Kat giggled at the look on Thoms face. This is Karai. She is a Digidestined from Japan. She knows how to get to the DigiWorld. Kat looked at Karai. So, how do we get there?

Karai giggled. Do you have a computer?

Err... Yeah. Is that how you get to the DigiWorld? Through a computer?! Kat said, grabbing her laptop out of her bag.

Karai giggled. Hai. But you also need one of these. Karai said, holding up her pink D-3.

Whats that? Drac asked.

Karai sighed. I was afraid of this. You dont have D-3s do you?

Never even seen them before. Clip said.

Theyre probably in the DigiWorld then. Karai said.

Then how do we get in? Thom asked.

Karai walked over to the computer. Everyone hold on to me. We should be able to all go together. She said and held up her D-3. The others ran over and put a hand on her shoulders. Digi Port open! She shouted and they were all sucked into Kats computer.

~Digital World~

When they looked around they saw a place that looked just like their world, just without buildings. Sphinxmon! Kat cried out in joy. For Katmon had digivolved back to her champion stage.

Cobramon! Thom added.

Who? Clip asked.

A Digimon that slightly resembled a screwdriver stood before her. Im Nejmamon. The champion form of Clifmon. The Digimon said. It was about the size of Cobramon.

A Digimon that looked like Pikodevimon, except with the colors inverted, stood before Drac. Im Draclunmon. Im the champion form of Dracmon. Pleased to meet you. He said. He was the size of Pikodevimon, too.

You digivolved! Drac cried, hugging his Digimon.

Karai gave Kat a questioning look. Theyve never digivolved before. Kat explained.

And yet, yours have. Odd. Karai thought aloud.

Karai! A small voice shouted. A small peach-colored puppy came bounding up to the group, throwing itself at Karai.

Plotmon! I missed you!

Plotmon looked up at the new humans. Are these your friends, Karai? She asked.

Hai. This is Kat, and he brother, Drac. Their next door neighbor, Clip and a friend, Thom. Also their Digimon.

Plotmon looked at the group of humans. Nice to meet you all. I dont get to meet many people.

Tis nice to meet you too, Plotmon! Kat said happily. We dont get to meet very many nice Digimon.

Karai looked at the girl. You mean youve met other Digimon other than your own?!

Kat nodded. Weve also met Arulamon and Jarnmon. She explained.

I feel for you. They arent the best Digimon to meet. They give a bad name to Digimon. Karai said.

Im guessing that means youve also met them. Kat mumbled as they started off to explore the DigiWorld.

Hai. Met and battled. Theyre not easy to defeat.

Kat and Thom excahnged glances. They werent that bad for us. We defeated the two of them with Cobramon and Sphinxmon. Thom said.

Maybe theyre weaker in the real world. Karai shrugged. The D-3 on her belt went off. The group stopped as she checked it. Digimentals. Interesting. She mumbled. Then she looked up at her friends. I found something I think we should check out.

Then lets go! Thom said. The others nodded and Karai led the way to the flashing light.

~:~

It was in a large cave. The group walked in behind Karai. When they got to a large open space they found a large rock with four Digimentals on it. Each try to pick one up. Karai told her four companions.

They all stepped up to the Digimentals. Kat stood before Light. Drac stood before Courage. Clip stood before Love. Thom stood before Hope. Each placed their hands on the one before them. As their hands conneted with the Digimentals a bright light came out, shinning from the Digimentals. D-3s formed on each ones belt.

Thoms D-3 was green. Kats was all sorts of colors, a rainbow, sort of. Dracs was orange and blue. Clips was yellow and pink. The kids looked at their new D-3s, then each picked up the Digimental before them.

Sphinxmon hopped up on Kats shoulder. Why not use them?

Kat looked at her. Why not. Digi Armor Energize! She shouted, holding the Digimental out before her, as Sphinxmon hopped down.

Sphinxmon, armor digivolve to... Blackmon, The Darkness of the Light! Blackmon cried. She looked like Nefertimon, except black, and none of the decorations.

The other Digidestined held their Digimentals before them, Karai held out her D-3, and shouted in unison. Digi Armor Energize!

Draculunmon, armor digivolve to... Kuketmon, The Bat of Courage! He still looked like Pikodevimon, just bigger. Still white, but where the skull and bones had been, there was an orange sign of Courage.

Nejmamon, armor digivolve to... Gakmon, The Flying Stone of Love! When we Gakmon is a mutant type Digimon, we mean it! She is a flying rock, literally. Shes silver in color and has massive wings.

Cobramon, armor digivolve to... Dragoonmon, The Dragon of Hope! Imagine a big green dragon, with a long tail and blue eyes. Thats Dragoonmon!

Plotmon, armor digivolve to... Tenshimon, The Compassionate Angel! Another that looks a lot like Nefertimon, except that Tenshimon is the same peach-like color as Plotmon.

Wow! You digivolved again! Thom cried out in joy.

Want to take some flying lessons? Karai suggested. The others smiled, Kat nodded. They all left the quite of the cave and walked out into the open. When they got to the open area they all got on their Digimons backs and watched Karai and Tenshimon demonstrate, then joined the two in the air.

Wow! I cant believe this is so fun! Thom cried, over-excited for the first time in years.

I thought youd never digivolve, Kuketmon! Drac called to his Digimon.

Soccerballmon and Screwmon aint too bad after all! Kat called to annoy Gakmon in general, giggling.

Why you! Gakmon called flying towards Blackmon as the others laughed.

They chased each other around in the sky for a while. When the Digimon started to tire they flew down, landed, and the humans hopped down.

Then a voice floated over to them. Look. Theyre all together now.

The group turned around. Arulamon. Kat growled, green eyes flashing.

The Digimon crested the hill. A+, Kat my dear. You know my voice. It seems you all have met up with another Digidestined. How nice. Now I can destroy you all together!

Not while were here! The Digimon cried, stepping before the humans.

You think you can stop me?! How stupid! Blood Spill! The ultimate called, sending a red substance at them.

The substance hit Tenshimon, Dragoonmon, and Gakmon. They all de-digivolved. Blackmon! Kat screamed.

Blackmon de-digivolve to Sphinxmon. Then she started to glow. Sphinxmon, digivolve to... Angelkitymon! Imagine a black cat, blue eyes, the size of a human and standing on its back paws. Now add white wings on its back. Thats Angelkitymon!

Plotmon, digivolve to... Angewomon! A humon with blond hair and decked out in white, including her wings. She dosent wear much, but shes still beautiful.

Cobramon, digivolve to... Pharomon! Pharomon is a dark brown color, with his normal blue eyes. Hes the size of a full grown human! You dont want him on the opposing side!

Nejmamon, digivolve to... Grekmon! Grekmon looks a lot like Andromon, but all silver in color with gold eyes.

Kuketmon de-digivolved, then started to glow. Draculunmon, digivolve to... Chimon! Chimon resembles Devimon, but is white and a data type!

Heavens Claw! Angelkitymon cried.

Heavans Charm! Angewomon cried.

Tail Throw! Called Pharomon.

Metal Blast! Yelled Grekmon.

Touch of Good! Shouted Chimon.

The attacks hit Arulamon straight on, and sent her flying into the atmostphere. The Digidestined cheered. They were running around and hugging one another when a voice cut in. Well done. I havent seen her go flying like that in years. The group spun around, ready for anything. Anything but who was standing there.

Papa! Kat screamed, throwing herself into the arms of her father. James smiled, hugging the daughter he thought he would never again see close.

Wheres my hug? A voice called from behind the older man. Jon stepped out from behind James, a happy smile on his face.

Father... Thom whispered, walking up carefully. When he was sure it was really his long lost father he cried out in joy and threw himself into the mans arms.

Drac, meanwhile, was watching his father and little sister from a distance. Drac, get your ass over here and give daddy a hug! Kat called to her brother.

Kat! James cried out in shock at her choice of words. A laugh rang out from the Digidestined gathered as Kat blushed.

Get. You havent seen your father in forever, and Im not letting you mope about it anymore. Clip said, pushing the boy forward.

Drac sighed and gave his father a hug. Missed you, dad. He whispered, a tear running down his cheek.

I missed you too, Dracel. I missed you both. James said quietly, tears running down his cheeks as well.

Kat giggled, ruining the mood. The two guys looked up at her. Dad. Call us by our nicknames. Dracel and Katrania, no one calls us that anymore. She giggled.

A broad smile broke out on both mens faces. I think we can arrange that. James said, smiling.

Why didnt you guys ever come home? Thom asked.

The others watched the two men. We couldnt. Was all Jon said.

We should go see if we can now. James said. The others nodded. All the younger Digidestineds Digimon de-digivolved and then went to armor. The Digidestined got on their rides, Jon and James on Airdramon, and flew to the nearest T.V.

Or where the T.V. should have been. It wasnt anymore. They were stuck in the Digital World.

~:~

Rosemon watched the group of Digidestined as they found they were trapped. Only five more. She whispered as the group headed to the nearest tree home that the two men had built. Rosemon followed them, glad the two men at least had their children again. She wondered if it was going to stay that way.

______________________________________________________________________________

Its over! Not!! Its just, not all of this story would fit, so I broke it into two parts!

Since I missed a few things at the beginning, Ill do em here!

Disclaimer: (Damnit! I hate this part!) I DO NOT OWN DIGIMON!! I wish I did, but weve had this conversation! If I owned em, things would have been different! Any similarities to the characters in this fic and people in real life are merely coincidence. It aint my fault if someone you know sounds like, seems like, or has the same name as one of the characters! So dont blame me!

This story feeds off my original series, starting with Never Leave Me. The Final Battle has yet to be explained in that series yet, but I will touch on it more in the second part of this fic, so youll understand it better! Sorry if its too confusing right now, Ill try to explain things better later!
