Part 2: Was It a Dream?

Matt woke up in his apartment. He did not know how he got there. He looked at the clock. It was already noon. He had that dreamy feeling from staying up too late and sleeping too long. He felt hung-over but did not remember getting drunk. He pulled himself off of the bed and still in his clothes, went to the bathroom to try and purge his sickness. When he was done he went to the kitchen, poured a glass of grape juice and lit a cigarette.

What the hell happened last night? Why do I feel so ill? How the hell did I get back from the Digi-World?

Matt racked his brain trying to recall the events of evening�s past.

What a strange dream. I remember it in flashes. I vividly recall going to Nympyhmon�s palace and drinking something that made me tell Tai how I felt. Then I remember feeling embarrassed and trying to get away from him. Then I remember sleep for an indefinite period of time. After that it is so choppy.

Matt saw flashes of his friend naked and long kisses and arching backs and.....

The phone rang.

"Hello."

"Hey cutie!"

Oh great just who I wanted to talk to. "Hey Mimi."

"Hey Yamato! So I guess you had fun last night!"

"Yeah I guess. What do you mean?"

"Well like I couldn�t find you for the longest time. I looked everywhere because I had some friends I wanted to show you to. Anyway Nymphmon said you and Tai were upstairs and when I came in you were both passed out drunk half naked! It looks like you all had a real party!"

"Well actually Mimi, I just had fallen asleep and." Wait a minute. What did she mean we were half naked?

"Oh yeah, whatever Ishida! You guys had about 20 of those potion bottles laying on the floor. You were probably just acting like a bunch of crazy drunks! Fell asleep my ass! You all totally passed out! What were you all doing anyway?"

"Actually Mimi, I didn�t want to tell you this but Tai and I met some really cute digimon humanoid girls and, well lets just say we played hide the salami."

"You bastard! I never want to talk to you again as long as live!"

God does she have to be so dramatic?

Matt followed Mimi�s cue and hung up the phone.

Was it really just a dream. I don�t remember taking my shirt off before I laid down. I mean I pretty much sleep in my clothes every night anyway. Oh my God! I hope I didn�t take advantage of Tai last night! I couldn�t live with myself!

"Shut the hell up Kari. I had a long night!"

"Well it�s 12:30 and Mom says you have to go to soccer practice because you have missed the last two!"

Tai mumbled to himself, "You can tell Mom to suck my cock."

Tai pulled himself off the bed and put on pair of drawstring sleep pants. He threw on a wadded up white t-shirt and walked into the kitchen."

"Taichi, you know good and well you have soccer practice at 1pm. You should have been up an hour ago! Now you have made me late!"

"Well I�m real sorry. You know what? So that you can be on time for your hair appointment, go ahead and leave now and I�ll just not go today. Okay? Okay."

Tai started back to his room.

Taichi! You made a commitment to this team and you are going to stick with it! Not everyone gets a place on the team at the university! You have worked too hard just to give up now!"

"Look I feel sick and don�t want to go! So leave me the hell alone!" Man, that sounded like Matt.

"Fine have it your way! If you are old enough to make your own decisions, you are old enough to get your own place and stop living with Mommy! I hope you are gone when I get back! You are such a disappointment!"

Mom ran out the door in tears. Kari glared at Tai.

"What the hell are you looking at?"

"Your idiocy!"

Kari always knows the thing to say that will make me feel horrible. "Look I�m sorry. I love you guys to death but you both smother me. I am just so burned out on soccer and school in general. I just don�t feel like I fit in there. I really don�t want to talk about it anymore. Okay?"

"That�s fine. Just please try to be nicer to Mom. She only wants the best for you."

"Yeah. I feel pretty bad."

"So where did you and Sora go last night. You all didn�t get home til 3am. No wonder you slept in."

"Yeah we went to some digi-party."

"How was it?"

"Well I really don�t remember. I was pretty fucked up."

"Oh, that�s real good."

"Hey I�m not in the mood for your bitch phase."

"Sorry. Well I hope your not too partied out for tonight."

"Why? What�s tonight?"

"Come on Tai! It�s Nichan�s party downtown at his new house! I heard him and three other guys have three whole stories to party on. The dance room, the herb room, the orgy room. Anyway I plan on dancing and meeting a cute college guy!"

"No I�m not! I�m just a big flirt! I wouldn�t actually do anything!"

"Yeah right. I think you have been hanging around Mimi too much!"

" I do not get the jollies! He�s just my best friend and I want to be there to support him. He comes to every one of my soccer games even though he hates sports. We are just always there for each other."

"Well if you weren�t a guy I�d swear you have a crush on him."

Kari sat down and starting watching Big Guy and Rusty so Tai had to leave the room. Tai threw himself down on the bed and starting thinking about last night. He giggled to himself. Then he remembered Matt yelling at him to go away. Tai frowned yet still felt giggly.

What a great dream! It seems so real. I was totally making out with Yamato. I can remember him kissing me and rubbing my chest. And I was kissing him and rubbing his chest! Maybe I do have the jollies. Oh my God I wish he didn�t hate me. I still never figured out why he was so mad. Beautiful, angel, Yama.

The phone rang loudly and startled Tai.

"Lo."

"Hey Tai. Look, before you say anything I want to apologize for being such a jackass last night. I think that potion really had an effect on me. I said things and maybe did things I didn�t mean."

"Hey buddy. Everything�s cool."

"It is? Thank God. I feel so horrible."

"Hey overall I had a great time."

Should I bring it up? Should I ask if he remembers anything about that? "Okay well, I hope I�ll see you tonight."

"Yeah man. I�ll be there."

"Okay. Later then."

"Later."
