My siblings were as outraged as I was about the three gryphons giving up. Moonbreeze and Stardust just looked at me with big, sad eyes when they heard about the herd. We wanted to rescue the other animals, but we realized there was no way we could get all of the humans away from their camp at the same time. We decided to continue to the volcanoes to get help from the dragons, but we would have to hurry. Moonbreeze could already fly short distances without getting too tired. Stardust rode on my back, because I had the strongest wings and could carry him longer. Moonbreeze would fly with us, but when he got too tired he would rest on my brother's back. Stardust didn't enjoy flying half as much as the rest of us, and made himself as small as possible on my back. He kept his eyes shut the whole time and refused to open them until we were back on solid ground. After flying and walking for several days, we finally reached the volcanoes. We were all tired from travelling and we didn't want to continue yet. We wandered around on the outskirts of the dragon territory and soon found a small cave. It was well hidden and we passed by it four times before we finally noticed it. We crawled in one at a time and curled up next to each other. We soon fell into a long deserved sleep.
