                   The Monster's Return Banquet

     As you recall,from last year's story,I seemed to have the feeling,that I'd been personally invited to attend next year's festivities.So about 11:30 Halloween night,I once again headed for Phantom Hall.However this time,instead of hiding in the bushes,I went straight to the front of the mansion.As I drew closer to the hall,I noticed the windows and pillars of the porch at the front of the hall looked like a large,grinning face.I climbed up the few steps leading to the door with the feeling that I may be walking into the jaws of death.After reaching the porch,I proceeded to walk "through" the door.
     Upon entering the mansion,I found myself in a large foyer.Directly in front of the doorway,
I saw a large,wide stairway leading up into the darkness.To the right of the stairway,ran a long hallway with several doors.To the left of the doorway,I noticed a large set of double doors,
through which I could hear strange noises.I walked over,opened one of the doors and looked into the room beyond.
     The diningroom looked quite similar to the way it had last year.The only difference I could see,was a large pipe organ in one corner of the room.As I entered the room and walked toward the organ,the gremlins & demons scurried about setting up the party without even giving me a second look.When I got to the organ,I found a sheet of paper with a request list.On the paper was the following:

1)Smoke on the Water                               7)Bad Blood
2)Lightning Strikes                                     8)Hot Stuff
3) Hair                                                         9)I can see clearly now
4)Night Fever                                            10)Clancy lowered the Boom
5)My Ding-a-ling                                       11)Two faces have I
6)Garden Party                                          12)I've grown accustom to your face
I saw a pen laying on the organ,so I added a request of my own:New kid in town.
     When I finished writing my request,I turned and walked toward the table.Examining the table,as the gremlins & demons put on the finishing touches,I noticed some very interesting dishes.In the center of the tablewas a plate,with a large,sculpted"head"cheese.Also on the table was a large bowl of "Lady fingers"A gremlin had to put a cover on the bowl,because they kept climbing out!Also on the table,gremlins were placing several large pitchers of "SpiderCider"!
     Just then the clock started to strike 12,a pair of demons lead me to the chair to the left of the head of the table.After I was seated,one of the gremlins went over and opened the window through which I had watched last years festivities.Almost immediatelyafter the window was opened,two large bats flew in.I knew right away that Dracula and Vampira had arrived together.When they took their seats,I heard an eerie,yt melodious song come in the window.Then I saw the Banshee floating into the room.By 12:15,all the guests had arrived.From the left
side of the table around sat,myself,the Banshee,the InvisibleMan,the Wolfman,the Creature,the Phantom,Dr.Jekyll,Frankenstein,the Thing,the Hunchback,Vampira and Dracula.The only empty seat was the one at the head of the table.Everybody wondered where our host was.
     As if to answer that question,the empty chair was suddenly surrounded by smoke and fire,with the heavy smell of brimstone.When the smoke had cleareda little,I could see that our host was none other than the Devil himself!Before anyone could say a word,Satan spoke.
     "I am here for two reasons tonight.First,Vinnie had prior commitments fortonight,which he could not break.Second,I am here to welcome a new member into the fold!"
     All eyes in the room turned toward me and then away again.The party then continued into the early hours of the morning,with the same jokes and jibes aboutelectricity,"Bloody Marys", Wolfman's hair and other things you would expect at a monster's party.
     When the first rays of the sun started coming through the windows,all the guests started fading away as if they had never been there.After the guests,All the leftovers,dishes and table settings disappeared.these were followed by the gremlins and demons,leaving me the only one in the house.Then I too started a slow fade.Me fading away?Yes,you see while I watched last years festivities,a terrible storm came up.but I was so engrossed with what was going on inside,
that I sat there the whole night and got soaked.Because of this,I died of pneumonia a few days later.So you see,I am actually a "ghost writer"HA,HA,HA,HA,HA!!!!!!!!!!!!
