| Midgard (Middle World): Mythology: Norse The world of the mortal men. It was created by Odin and his brothers Vili and Ve from the body of the first giant, Ymir. They shaped the the earthf from his flesh and the mountains from his bones; from his teeth and jaws and the fragments of his shattered bones they made rocks and stones. They used his blood to made lakes and the sea. They formed the sea around the earth in a ring. They took his skull and made the sky and made it so that its four corners reached the ends of the earth. And they placed a dwarf under each corner and these became the cardinal directions. And they set a part of the land out for the remaining giants and this place came to be known as Jotunheim. Then Midgard was fashioned out of the enclosure between Ymir's eyebrows. And Ymir's brains became the clouds. Mjolnir: (known as Mt. Mjolnir) Mythology: Norse Thor's hammer. Another gift crafted by the dwarf Brock. But this is the only gift with an impurity. While Brock's brother was working the bellows Loki transformed himself into a Gat Fly and stung Brock's brother and made him mess up the bellowing causing the hammer to have a shorter hammer. Thor didn't mind though for it was still a fine weapon. Now I have no idea why Gravity would make it a mountain. |
