I was born in central IL. during the seventies.  I spent the first years of my life on a farm (not our own), then moved to a small town.  My father has been a fundamentalist Christian preacher since I was six.  I respect him and his beliefs, but did not find all that I was looking for in that tradition.
I rejected all spirituality at eighteen and joined the Armed Forces, but without a spiritual rudder, I was soon lost.  After my fore-shortened stint in the Service, I began looking for a true path that I could follow and depend upon.  That path is finally opening up to me, a day at a time.  I have been a shamanic practitioner since Spring Equinox, 2001.  It is a difficult, but rewarding, path.
I consider every person I meet to be my friend.  Some are, of course, closer than others, but I at least attempt the ideal of love for every one of God's children.

My birth family is a blessing to me in many ways.  My immediate family is still very involved in "the Church," but our love is not limited by doctrinal differences or personal dogma.
I have two beautiful children of my own.  Their mother and I are doing our best to rear them with a respect for others and nature and a sense of social justice.
I am a hiker, camper, animal lover, reader, poet, and self-directed student of religion and philosophy. I am also currently enrolled in Massage Therapy school and will be a certified Massage Therapist sometime after August, 2006.
