Greetings from HE Meghhan McNewd!

How ya'll doin? I know that those of us that went up north on the weekend of May 16-18 are exhausted, but very happy. I wish more of us could have gone, but for those who couldn't, just let me tell you, they have a great group of people in The River's End!!

Let me say kudoes to the sheriff of River's End, Fitz, for all he's accomplished in such a short period of time. He's performed miracles & really brought that group together. Fitz's wife, Ember, also deserves big kudoes for the wonderful job she did on helping to prepare the feast (along with Kesel & Crystal), she's a really neat person, I enjoyed talking with her, I just wish she could've spent more time with us. The whole group is amazing and I believe we made some new friends, that we'll hopefully, be able to get together with on a regular basis.

Those of you who didn't go, won't get this reference, but the rest of us will be seeing "Vicky Bugs" for years to come, and each one will put a smile on our faces.

We also had the pleasure of meeting our future Emperor, Mikey Hammer of God & a couple of other people from Colorado, they were great! Mike is a great guy & will be a wonderful Emperor. I know he has a very busy schedule set up, but I hope he can find time to visit us again, we would love to have him.

I wish I could name everyone who came, but I'd probably forget some & then feel bad, so to everyone who came, thank you! And especially to Fitz - thank you for making it possible - all of Dragon Spyre commends you for the great job you're doing. Maybe we can get some of you guys down here for Renne Faire on July 9-12th? We'd love to have all that could come.

Last, but certainly not least, congratulations River's End on your elevation to Barony!!

Rules Changes and/or Clarifications (per HE Nicholas)

1. Armor will be counted as worn. Grey colored clothing, sewn and created under previous rules is worth no less than 1 point. Grey tee shirts, shirts with any logo, shirts of a non-period appearance WILL NOT COUNT AS ARMOR!

2. Bows are to be allowed as follows: Archers, Scouts, Druids, Barbarians, Assassins. Since 1 bow per 5 people is the limit, this is the order in which they enter the field.

3. Torso armor is immune to human thrown weapons (axes, knives, krulls, javelins, rocks etc.). Legs and Arms with armor are treated according to the normal rules.

4. Any relic introduced and passed off by the Baroness, Regent, Chancellor, GuildMaster of Reeves and Champion will be quested for and not the immediate "property" of the relic's creator.

5. Any rule change/suggestion must be submitted and voted on at an Allthing.

6. DragonSpyre Does NOT adhere to IKRC or the IKRC treaty. This is at the will of His Excellency Nicholas, for the length of his reign.

7. A weapon may not block Arrows, except by a monk. If an Arrow strikes a weapon, even an accidental strike, the weapon is considered destroyed. If the weapon is held against the body and the arrow strikes it and it would have struck the person wielding the weapon, the weapon is destroyed. If a person blocks an arrow intentionally; 1st time: a warning and the weapon is destroyed,2nd time: the individual loses that life. 3rd time: the individual sits for the rest of the game.

8. Arguing with a Reeve is grounds for immediate removal from a battlegame or Jugging competition.

9. Proper manners, sportsmanship, and respect for the Monarchy and all Titled individuals is expected at all times while at an event or batttlegame.

10. Garb is required for credit after one month. Credit WILL NOT BE GRANTED if an individual in not in garb, or at least making an attempt. A GREY (or black) T SHIRT AND JEANS IS NOT GARB!
