Lynn DeBruce was born on April 17, 1493 in the Lowlands of Scotland to Quarion DeBruce and Minstrel Liadon. Though she was schooled in the arts and sciences, she devoted most of her time to the art of swordplay, and is still progressing. Quarion, being a military man, was killed early in Lynn's life in battle, leaving only Minstrel, Lynn, and Lynn's younger sister Muse.

When Lynn was nine years old, Muse was stricken with cholera, and was put into the earth three months later. Without a man to work for the family, the DeBruce family was struck with poverty.  Lynn saw herself as merely a burden upon her mother's shoulders, and, at the age of fourteen and disguised as a man, joined the local militia.

Through several battles, she survived, and when peace finally reigned on the county, there was no longer work for Lynn, so she began nomadic wanderings that would last her ten years.

Her wanderings took her to the Barony of DragonSpyre, which was plagued by monsters and rogues and other evils.  Seeing a people in need, Lynn settled, and joined the local forces, where she currently resides.
